I say the biggest mistake ever made by the NHL was removing the instigator rule way back when. Back then, guys like this would have been destroyed by the enforcers of the league, but now they go around taking cheap shots at everybody and never pay the price. Why does Nichols skate on one leg after his shot hit the post? He put himself in a vulnerable position at such high speed, so stupid. He knew Lapierre was close to him. Lapierre did push him slightly, but if Nichols wasn't on 1 leg, he coulda stopped before hitting the boards. Cooke on Savard is far more worse than this and Lapierre gets a 4 match suspension, biaised Colin Campbell should get fired.

C'est simple puis sa peu aider l'equipe. J'aime moin sa quand il fait ces ptit coups vicieux, mais entre moi pis toi, si le canadiens peuvent n'en manger des bonnes, l'equipe adverse aussi. I was suprised actually, as a habs fan, I know Lapierre can be a bitch with that kind of stuff, but it looked like Nichols dove practically, like Lapierre barely touched him. Granted they're moving fast and he was in a vulnerable position but honestly, I expected it to be way worse then that, that was laughable, I've seen worse hits happen without any kind of suspension or anything. I honestly think Lapierre even was suprised when he saw what ended up happening. He is a pest and a cheapass tho.

Yes I have. I started playing hockey very young, played 11 months of the year for many years, including numerous tournaments. I have played hockey with many of our Great American neighbours & friends & enjoyed every minute. Absolutely Great memories. I get very upset when I hear a Canadian make very hurtful and disrespectful comments about our best friends to the South. Why does Nichols skate on one leg after his shot hit the post? He put himself in a vulnerable position at such high speed, so stupid. He knew Lapierre was close to him. Lapierre did push him slightly, but if Nichols wasn't on 1 leg, he coulda stopped before hitting the boards. Cooke on Savard is far more worse than this and Lapierre gets a 4 match suspension, biaised Colin Campbell should get fired.
