Powerful Black Powder Rocket

Very Nice, i was wondering how do you stabilise your rockets?

Because i have made some powerful long burning rockets, but they go about 100m in the air and arc around towards the ground.

Any help?

@0123legoman3210 This has about the height of a Quest A motor which means it has about 500Newtons of thrust. You stabilize your rockets by making a frame with fins ie a body tube. It must have fins and the centre of pressure MUST be behind the centre of gravity. This guy is using a stick to try his rocket motor but it would work in a real rocket frame.

@shadopyro I think it was a core burner, but only core burner on the first half of the total propellant. Hope you understand !

I use a wood rammer to compact the mix

but do you use bentonite clay for your nozzle, and what do you use to compact the mix, wood or steel dowel?
