Yes, that is correct. If you see my details on the video, you will se that I have used footage from three different episodes of this series, and the IMAX film "Magnificant Desolation" to depict a lunar landing. My work has been purely editing. All the hard work has been done by professionals.
I used footage from the episodes "Is that all there is", "Miles and miles" and "Mare Tranquilitatis" From the series Earth To the Moon.
Hi, thanks for the positive feedback... You will find the IMAX stuff on the film "Magnificent Desolation", it's a documentary and some other stuff narrated by Tom Hanks...
Sorry, can't help out there... I dont know... I used my editing software to extract the sequences I needed from the original DVD, and got the files I needed that way...
Most of it is taken from the TV-Series "From the earth to the moon", and some from the IMAX feature "Magnificent desolation", but one bit is from Armstong's actual brodcast... the part where he says "I'm at the foot of the ladder..."
Yes... The peice is called "Chevaliers De Sangreal" and it is used in the movie when the main character walks from his hotel, trails the rose line to the museum, and realises where the grail is hidden...
My movie, or the original movies / series i edited from?
As I mention in my description, the original film material is borrowed from Magnificent Desolation and The series From the earth to the moon (the episodes Mare tranquilitatis, Is that All there is, and Miles and miles)...
I have just re-editet the sequenses of a lot of scenes, mixed them together, added new sounds, and the music score from The DaVinci Code...
That was pretty cool. I just watched an episode of Star Trek Voyager called "One Small Step". It was about the Voyager crew finding an ancient Mars command module called "The Ares IV" from Earth and made by NASA that was piloted by Lieutenant John Kelly in 2032 in our future that pulled into an anomaly that Voyager re-encounters it centuries later in the Delta Quadrant of our galaxy, the Milkey Way that Voyager was thrown 70,000 light years from Earth at the beginning of the series.
Very cool dude - This must have taken some time to edit. Very well done, and a great historical montage of the moon landing... and I loved the music... perfect for this clip.
I worked on it for about a week (after work, and after putting the kids to bed). I heard the music while watching the ending sequence of The DaVinci Code, I just knew I had to edit somthing to go along with it. Beeing a space-nut, my choice of material was easy...

The foil is actually mylar film, and it was used to insulate the descent-stage of the LM (Lunar Module) from the RCS (Reaction Control System). It was very light weight, and was sufficient, as the LM only was designed to land on the moon, not to reenter the atmosphere. As for the music, well we have different taste, that's all...
