  • This is such a sick video! We need a modern, updated version! Riverboarding on Fuel TV? Now that would be cool.

  • Guys, thanks for the comments... I'll give you a quick history from our perspective if you like...

Jon Imhoof (featured in the video above) was the first piorneer of this sport to our knowledge... he started a company in NZ based in Queenstown running trips on the Kawarau river back in 1989... in 1996 I met Jon in Zimbabwe and we started a company running trips on the Zambezi in 1996... most of the footage in this clip is from the Zam as it really is the hawaii of riversurfing...

  • Mack is so humble and so right. I stand up and boogie river waves, these cats in Africa take the cake. The future is far from the ocean and my holy grail is to find another barreling wave. I have a feeling its out there in the most bizarre spot. The search continues.

    Aloha,

    ET

  • these guys were so ahead of there time.

the first true pioneers of adventure river surfing.

Munich may be the home of the first real river surfing scene but what these did inspired me to go out and search for river waves. many people are miss informed and give me(Elijah Mack)credit for seeing the potential of waves on rivers, NO! These are the THE REAL PIONEERS! Thanks for giving me the inspiration to go search! It changed my life. Respect-

    Aloha Mack
