@nOkKzYwOrLd If you simmer a chicken in water and vegetables for a couple of hours and then remove them leaving the liquid only, you have chicken broth.
Question: Hello, I tried to make the Chicken Lasagne Rolls, but after I boil the lasagne pieces and let them cool, they stuck together. How did you get yours to be so nice and easy to work with?
@emilyhf3 The trick is to cool them down with cold water. Drain off the boiling water and fill the pot (with the noodles) with cold water, repeat until the noodles/pot/water is cold. Leave them in the cold water until you are ready to roll. (Let water drip off or pat lightly with paper towel first).
Otherwise you can drain off the boiling water and butter the noodles to keep them from sticking (this may make them slippery however)
Max is ADORABLE!!! This recipe sounds really good! May be trying this tonight but using flour instead of corn starch since a sauce made with cornstarch gets watery if you reheat it (thinking leftovers!!! YUM!!) :o)
.i was browsing you tube found your videos, you are awesome and u know what ,i will not use the word hate, but i don't love cooking too much and after viewing your video now i started loving kitchen..love you...today i made the salmon rolls its was delicious..so i feel to share my feelings with you..thanks a lot
@JiggaWithAttitude Look for lasagna noodles, they can be purchased dry (usually in boxes here) then cooked in boiling water. These are noodles that are intended to be laid flat in the pan and stacked (like lasagna). I'm just rolling them up. They should be with the rest of the pasta (spaghetti, macaroni etc)
We don't have Krogers or heb. Are they grocery stores?
@yoyomax12 Yes those are grocery stores. For some reason, those spaghetti rolls look fresh from the freezer and silly me thought I could find them in the frozen section. sigh. I'll go check the pasta section when i get the chance. Thanks.
@yoyomax12 yeah but you make it look good enough for the fuss. i really enjoy watching your recipes videos. do you have any budget/kid friendly recipes you can share???
this looks so good. this would make a good meal for company...thanks.......your vids make me want to cook........that is a major thing these days! hhaha...thx for sharing
@wildheart5 I also love red peppers, when they come on sale I buy a bunch! My favourite way of eating them is just sliced up and eaten raw like candy, YUM!
@kawaii22devil This is not diet food! But as far as lasagna goes, it isn't bad, the cream sauce has not cream in it and there isn't much cheese in it either.
That was a perfectly toasted marshmallow!!! In terms of the recipe, Tammy, is there anything you cook that doesn't look positively delicious?!?! Have to try this but might go for a red sauce on top since I'm not a fan white sauces. Thanks again for sharing your amazing creations. I'm so thrilled each time I notice you've posted a new video :)
@feliciajuly You could easily use a red sauce instead of a white one in this for sure. My son doesn't like the red sauced lasagna (like you this is my favourite), so I try this for him. He even ate a bit of the spinach. :O
I've always been very weird about white-ish sauces but that looks really good. How many did you eat? How many did Max eat? How many did your husband eat? They look like they are generously sized. My guess is Scott would probably eat two or 2-1/2.
@silverscreamgrl I would use parmesan cheese (the fresh grated kind) in this instead of the swiss next time, it would be better. If you have side dishes with this, veggies, salads, bread etc. One would be plenty for an average adult eater.
If this is the only part of the meal, probably two.
Max ate about half of one because there was spinach in it. Hubby had two, I had 1.5.
I kept a couple for leftovers (lunch next day) and froze the rest for an "at work" dinner for me in the future.
@silverscreamgrl I overcooked the lasagna noodles and they were kind of soggy, and they didn't absorb much of the sauce in the oven. Making them aldente or just under that would make them suck up some of the sauce while in the oven and they would have been better.
Oh yummy! I really like this and I think everyone would like it here too - it has a mild similarity to an Alfredo sauce, but maybe less saturated fat. The combo of swiss and mozzarella sounds good - and gets more 'melty' which is usually desirable. Yum!
@thizizliz I would recommend using fresh grated parmesan instead of the swiss (if you like that cheese) As far as saturated fat goes, this sauce isn't too bad. You could cut the butter at the beginning in half easily, and just mix the cornstarch in water before pouring into the pan.
@yoyomax12 Great suggestions, thanks. I'll bet I could use fresh spinach too. We almost always have a block of parmesan and use it a lot - I can't imagine going back to the green can of dried stuff! :-) The more I eat 'real' food, the less I can tolerate processed. I could turn into a food snob! LOL
omg that looks so yummy!
