  • Napa don't know how.

  • the worst driver in nascar, period

    -clint bowyer

  • @24jeffgordan88JRfan and now he's driving for him lol

  • @TheSpiderTre i know i think it's hilarious lol

  • Done worse

  • If anyone thinks that it was funny when Waltrip crash during qualifying and missed the race, then they don't know the consequences. Waltrip put a lot of money into starting up an organization on his own. Waltrips #55 car missed 19 of 36 races that year, and his other two missed a number of races too. Even if you have success in your first year, it take a few years just to brake even. Waltrip almost when bankrupt after that year, and was forced to look for an invester to keep the team alive.

  • Waltrip takes lots of trips to the wall.

  • Michael crashed more cars that year...

  • When Darrel said, "That's breaking my heart to see this" My heart sank a bit.

  • thats great video

  • since dale passed away. Waltrip is not as good as before.

  • Michael walslaper

  • wicked

  • why does the safer barrier abruptly stop along the inside wall......makes no damn sense. dumbass nascar needs to get their shit together and realize all walls should be safer barriers

  • @ThizzinChampX24 i believe that is actually taken care by each respective track owner.

  • @ThizzinChampX24 the track owner is the one who decides that, not NASCAR.

  • @Papoose888 But how many wins has he had all together? 4 so shut you fucking mouth bitch.

  • Worst drivers in Nascar are the start and parkers

  • @acenace24 actually start and parkers are just drivers helping teams gets on their feet. Terry Labonte has been in a start and park team and he's one of the best NASCAR drivers.

  • @wes3tomcat he has a few wins on superspeedways sure, but derrick cope won at daytona back in the 90's after dale earnhardt got a flat tire. superspeedway racing is more about being in the right place at the right time.

  • @Kris7717 Cope also won at Dover the same year...

  • @InvisibleTeeth yeah, his other 50% of winston cup wins...

  • for anyone that says that michael waltrip sucks, i would love to see you get in a stock car and try to beat him cuz he'd probably smoke your ass....

  • @MichaelMyers43 ya the only thing he would be smokein is the inside wall

  • @MichaelMyers43 exactly

  • ah, thats his problem, hes driving a toyota, the throttle probably stuck on him

  • Waltrip is a great team owner tho, Truex Jr., Ambrose, and Reutimann.

  • he wrecks in every race i thank lol

  • Yea next to Jimmy Spencer probably the most over rated face it!!, I think He will be a good owner, He should buy motors off of Gibs same for robby gordan.

  • Worst driver to ever win a race in NASCAR lol he makes good commercials atleast...

  • i cant drive........FIFTY FIVE 55

  • i guess he didn't have to go too far to get another car..his headquarters was right up the highway.

  • What an improvement now with MWR cars than all of 2007. MWR cars missing races and finishing out of the top 30 to 2008 and 2009 with top 5's and plenty of top 20's.

  • Not to mention a 5th and 6th place finish in this year's Daytona 500. MWR has improved so much, wouldn't surprise me to see Truex or Reutimann get wins this year

  • I want mikey to go back to victory lane

  • Interesting fact:

At this point in the season, I was actually beating him in the points. And I've never been in a racecar in my life.

Oh, and he didn't exactly leave DEI. He pretty much saw that DEI was going to can him after 2005, so he started his own team.

  • Sucks he isnt running full time next season :(

  • Worst driver in NASCAR period??????? The man won 2 daytona 500's fuck you

  • @Papoose888 So? He had to race for what, I decade to get his first win. Two Daytona 500's don't count for shit when they are your only wins.

  • @Roushfan5 Where are all your wins? Oh... thats right.

  • So what you have to have victories in NASCAR to voice an opinion on something? What a stupid fucking argument.

  • @Roushfan5 Thats because hes been with horsecrap teams most of his career. DEI was the first decent ride hes ever had.

  • @Roushfan5 sorry that was for Papoose888

  • H actually has 4 wins, 3 at daytona and 1at talladega. He's deffinately one of the best restrictor-plate racers in our era

  • @Papoose888 waltrip was with a team that had a great cars for daytona n talladega he is probably the one on the worse drivers have you ever seen him dominate any other race n we all know the 500 is more luck than anythang else

  • he won at a superspeedway 4 times, what kind of luck is that? there are much worse drivers than michael waltrip.

  • @Papoose888 sure he's not the worst driver in nascar, but he ain't that great. i mean come on, derrick cope won a daytona 500. whooptie doo...

  • @Kris7717 he is pretty good at superspeedways

  • @Papoose888 i like michael waltrip to an extent but just know that it does not take much skill to win at a superspeedway, its luck, being in the right place at the right time, trying to pick a line that will carry you to the front, derek cope won a daytona 500...never won anything else that i can recall in nascar. kenny wallace won a talladega race, i dont recall him winning much else, same with countless other people, yeah there is an art to superspeedways and if you can figure it out then you

  • @bmxking46 While it does take luck it takes a LOT of skill to, Mikey won 2 500s... thats not luck striking twice, and he won other superspeedway races, and a few in the busch series, hes not the best but the man could drive. And Kenny Wallace was an awesome driver.

Point is some drivers do better at certain tracks... Jr hasnt won much else then superspeedwat races yet were not arguing his "talent"

  • @Papoose888 will succeed when bad luck is not with them, but also keep in mind that on his two daytona 500 wins, he had teammates right behind him and won man died to let him win. (RIP Dale)

  • @bmxking46 he would have won if Dale didnt wreck too... Marlin and Schrader were in no position to battle for the lead in 2001, Jr wasnt really in position at the time, Jr wanted it more than anyone in the field except his dad, and i guarantee if he had a chance to Mikey wouldnt have won that Daytona 500.... keep your facts straight... he won it because he was driving the fuck out of that car.

  • @DavidOrtiz36 or because Dale told Jr. not to pass him.

It's right in his book that Dale said he was going to help Mikey win the 500 and he will get Jr. to go along with it

  • @Papoose888 im not doubting i like Mike, but what Year was it besides 2001?

  • @Papoose888 That doesnt mean anything! He is one of the worst racers ever period! His attitude stinks, he has no respect for other drivers either.

  • @Papoose888 that to me thinks he better than most drivers cant even win 2 daytona 500s u little bitch

  • @MrAmplover1 You know its not THAT HARD to win a 500? Im not sayyn its easy. shit Sr. went 20 years but This year like a fircken 20 year old won it. Waltrip sucks

  • @iReFuZaLx trevor won because he avoided the big one and got hooked up with the right people.

  • @MrAmplover1 I know, but thats really what you go to do to win at superspeedways

  • @iReFuZaLx U MAD BRO?

  • @MrAmplover1 your mom

  • @iReFuZaLx ROFL LMFAO!!!!!!! This guy just said winning the 500 wasnt hard!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Because he's won one right?

  • @Papoose888 one of them was when earnhardt died.

  • @Papoose888 The Daytona 500 aint shit, its a prestigous race but anyone can win. The guy never one another race outside of a restrictor plate, he was 0 for 500 something. He is the worst driver in nascar period. bitch.

  • Papoose888 For the record, at the end of the 2001 500, Mike Joy said that Michael was "0-for 462" before winning it. And he lucked into his 2003 500 win. And he is only for for about 650 now. That's a winning percentage of a little more than .5%. I ain't talking trash, but, that's a hell of a losing streak. He does hold the record for most starts needed to win their first race, with 463. Also, as evidenced by Derricke Cope in 1990 and Tevor Bayne in 2011, anybody can win the 500.

  • @denver924471 What most non-fans don't realize is that the superspeedways represent the 'easiest' driving challenge. This is evidenced by the fact that Bayne won the 500 by chance when alot of the top boys were gone early and he just ended up in front at the right time. At Daytona you literally get it up to 4th gear and hold the throttle down. The rest is jostling and on-track politics but you're not running the gears all day as you are at nearly ever other track. An illusion of difficulty.

  • @JPhinfan86 Pardon me - I meant to say 'evidenced by the fact that Bayne won the 500 by chance'....yet STILL hasn't even won a Nationwide race. The 500 fell into his lap. He's totaled/destroyed his car more than 4 times at other tracks in his very limited Sprint Cup schedule this season.

  • @JPhinfan86 Yeah the superspeedways really haven't been about talent since about the mid 1990's at best.

  • @Papoose888 hes the worst

  • @jaqua524 Kyle Petty?

  • @jaqua524 are you sure a 7th place finish makes him the worst driver in nascar with you logic then all of the drivers Jeff Gordon or lower in the standings aren't even racing

  • hes was and is a good driver! he's been around since like 198_ and won many races! but like any star they burn out eventually!

  • Waltrip won all his races because he had the best car in the field -- he's a crap driver that never had it, riding on his very talented brother's name.

  • wow he really sucks.

  • Michael failed to qualify for 12 of the first 13 races this year. I remember first seeing this crash on the weather channel

  • weather channel? i dont wanna know............

  • check the fron right wheel at 0:51

  • lol, not really.

    He owns his team

  • but robby gordon still sucks though

  • If his last name wasn't Waltrip, his cup career would've been over 15 years ago.

  • @RDarth Yeah, but most people get into NASCAR because relatives were into it. If Waltrip wasn't a Waltrip, then he wouldn't even be in NASCAR most likely.

  • @RDarth like dale jr

  • he isn't the worse... he just has bad luck

  • no, he sucks

  • serves him right for throwing his helmet at robby gordon lol

  • robby threw it at him

  • ha ha im suprised he even has napa as a sponsor

  • Michael Waltrip didn't qualify for a race from the Daytona 500 until Dover in June, something like 12 or 13 straight DNQ's and he wrecked 5 race cars in that 4 months without even starting a race plus his own personal vechile. Damn, he should've put me in the car, I could've went out there for those 12 races and made 2 quailfying laps at each race without wrecking once. Where is Ward Burton at? Michael should've hired him instead of Ageless Dale Jarrett or no-named Michael McDowell

  • Bahahahahahahahaha

  • who is the worst driver in nascar period?

  • robbie gorden is the absolute worst driver in nascar

  • so terrible that he has 4 race wins, right?

  • who robbie?

  • yes, robby gordon. he has 4 cup wins and is obviously one of the most talented drivers on the circuit. look at his diversity. he runs the baja 1000, nascar, the indy 500, etc. he has sub-par equipment in nascar, which is why he doesn't win often. he won 2 races back in 2003 when he was driving for richard childress. so clearly, he is extremely talented. it's tough being an owner-driver in nascar.

  • talented my left nut he puts more race cars in the wall than anyone

  • nice failed attempt at proving my arguement wrong. Earnhardt put everyone in the wall but did that mean he had no talent? no. so shut up, unless you can provide a valid arguement.

  • robby gordon is an idiot. reason he won his 4 races, 3 of them were road courses (boris said won a Cup pole at sonoma a few years ago so obviously being a "ringer" is a clear advantage) and his other win was at Loudon in the race they ran after thanksgiving and the only reason he won that is his crew chief saved tires from a different race and put those on the car which made his the fastest here. Extremely talented my ass

  • No, he's not the best Nascar driver on the circuit. But he has such a diverse driving background. He could beat almost every driver in rally cars, or indy cars.

  • thank you for agreeing with me

  • He's just stubborn and doesn't move out of the way. Then people get frustrated and bump him...that's why he wrecks a lot

  • stubborn is not the correct term the correct term would be solw as hell

  • that too

  • yeah!

  • It's amazing how much better of a season Michael Waltrip is having this year!

  • MIKEY!! W00T!!!

  • Yep. He got MWR their first top-5 and he finished 10th just last week. Reutimann almost won Richmond too, so it certainly looks like MWR has improved a lot during the past year and a half!

  • at :50 you could see his right front tire is side ways

  • or whatever

  • he needs to put more money into the cars

  • he ran out of money, he became a partner with the owner of one of his sponsors so mwr didnt fold but now all 3 mwr cars are in the top 35!!!

  • The investor that he brought in wasn't an "owner of one of his sponsors". But, you're right that he did bring in an investor at the end of last season.

  • Actually Rob Kauffman IS the owner of several of the associate sponsors for MWR, so 6fullthrottle6 was correct

  • i don't like waltrip, he was only good when he was with dei and then he was only good at the superspeedways. but he did have a terrible year last year.

  • Waltrip has always been in lesser quality equipment. He can drive.

  • he didnt leave DEI let him go

  • He could have renegotiated; read between the lines and you'll see, he knew they weren't going to give him the best equipment, and saw a chance to align with Bill Davis/Toyoto, and create his own team.

Dale Jr saw the same thing at DEI, and left for greener pastures at Hendrick.

  • your a DUMBASS

  • I bet you feel like the biggest friggin idiot for that. "Oh, he's a moron for leaving DEI." Well, JR left DEI you fukkstick. That team was going nowhere, & he was smart enough to figure it out before Jr did. Michael was offered a 5 yr contract by DEI and turned it down. He didn't HAVE to leave DEI, he chose to

  • @renee29404 And where is Jr. right now exactly?

  • I hate that people who know nothing about nascar think that Dale Jr. is the best driver when he's not even close to it

  • @Roushfan5 Jr is showing the fans exactly how great he is.......... which is not very. HAHAHAHAH

  • He sucked big time for the first half of the year, but remember he did score a pole and two top tens, which is better than his teammates.

  • wow michael waltrip made A WALL TRIP!!

  • this is funny but im spaming you anyway

  • i really feel bad for mikey but.... then again i see the car hes driving...

  • this is a bit of an unrealistic thought but, it would be cool if waltrip drove for DEI again next year:)

  • poor bastard can't get a break...

  • I have to admit I am one of the biggest Michael Waltrip haters our there, but he and his team have been so laughable this year, that I am actually feeling guilty about my hatred.

  • david ruetamon did good for a rookie

  • Hid teammate, David Reutimann, also crashed during qualifying and failed to make the Coca-Cola 600.

  • yeah i seen clips of this wreck yesterday but havent got to see whole wreck thnks!

  • I heard the qualifying on the radio yesterday and i have been looking for this video. Thx for posting

  • He did in fact wreck in Open qualifying, but he wrecked again in qualifying for the 600.

  • wasn't this for the all-star challenge
