  • I remember doing a drug called "rush" at the clubs while dancing my heart out to Suburban Lawns and Sylvester. Good times.

  • I find this easy to masturbate to.

  • Having lived through it in la, I thought New Wave was more radio friendly.. After Sid death.

  • I USED TO THINK SUE TISSUE WAS SINGING "OH, MY GENITALS...OH, MY GENITALS..." BACK WHEN I FIRST HEARD THIS!!! :D

  • Duh!

  • THERE is no such thang as new wave it was just a term made up by pepole who got into PUNK ROCK and were to afraid to say they liked punk rock because in the early days if you liked punk rock you were weird and ailienated and there was only a hand full of us into the new sound once the term new wave was frased it blew up, it was then cool to say you liked it new wave my ass PUNK ROCK anything after the 80s... now thats new wave at least thats my take and I was there

  • @Ayame1324 Almost a direct quote by Kickboy Face in the Decline of Western Civilization.

    BTW I agree with you.

  • @Ayame1324 WHEN PUNK AND DISCO GOT MARRIED THEY HAD A BABY NAMED NEW WAVE!!! :D

  • @Ayame1324 well put. I was there, too. Only we can remember the disdain that dripped from peoples' mouths when they said "Punker!". (Big laugh at that). 'New Wave' became synonymous with 'Punk Rock Lite', but there were A LOT of raw, talented scrappers out there who played the new sound. Ah, Los Angeles in 1980. I was teenager in love with innovation. Now, I'm in love with.. innovation.

  • @drunkenhousecat, Kajagoogoo and the Thompson twins weren't new wave they were considered New Romantic

  • Love this fucken song!!!!

  • put it in a bag,...Baby in a bag!! another great song by them....

  • this ain't punk. this is new wave. you know, the real new wave?

  • @drunkenhousecat I think some people are reluctant to say "new wave" nowadays because it has a kinda bad image today, if you know what I mean. That term tends to conjure up memories of ohhh,.. Kajagoogoo and Thompson Twins for example. THATS exactly what hapend to the post-punk new wave musical movement of the early 80's,.. it got ruind by alot of really terrible and shitty acts that came along and made it big.

  • fucking soooooo classic, i miss these guys. Fucking punk classics.

  • Makes me want to cause a nuclear meltdown...

  • one of my alltime favorite bands

  • this is the first thing I have ever heard or seen of theirs and its so bizarre! I love it!!!

  • This band totally rocked and deserved to be much "huger". Perfect blend of Punk, Pop, and postpunk Rock... with a very creative arty edge.

  • (Edit: that should be the Suburban Lawns - b/c the Lawns was a spin-off of the SL w/o Su)

Anyway, wikipedia has a story about how these lyrics came about.

  • I was a Beatles fan, a Hendrix fan and then I heard the Lawns - nothing compares.

  • Back then, Everyone in my junior high loved this song because it sounded like they were saying "oh my genitals, oh my genitals"

  • She was.

  • sounds like they are saying "euh my genitals"

  • That's because thats what they are saying.

  • they are saying genitals

  • @neonHEARTSbitches she actually alternates bewteen saying oh my genitals and i'm a janitor in the chorus
