the ridge racer series is alright. it was once great during it's glory days on the Playstation. After that the games A.I. would cheat like a devil at the very end of the games and the games did little to innovate and change things during the series progression (the "nitrous" function in the current ridge racer games is an awesome improvement, but the changes that R Racing Evolution brought to the series have been completely forgotten) The series has gotten stale...

This is not a RR7 trailer, it was a trailer at E3 2006 called Ridge Racer 2010, what Namco expected to be able to pull off on PS3 in 4 years (from 2006) So this is what Namco is aiming for, for RR8.

well it is best to mod your ps3 to play the copies and it has been done. But you play at your own risk. All you do is block the sensors on the system, you break the warenty on your system though.

I have to agree with you on this one. R Racing Evo. is highly underated I think. I really like the other ones, especially Rage Racer and R4, but R Racing Evo really made you hone your skills and kept my palms sweating whenever I raced. I think some found it too much of a challenge and moved on.

They're sisters, altough they live in differents worlds. If I don't remember wrong, Kei Nagase is Edge in Ace Combat 2 and is briefly mentioned in Ace Combat 3 like a test subject for sublimation/computerization project at Neucom INC.

I don't think so. The Ace Combat timeline takes place in an alternate earth called Strangereal, where all continents, countries and history are different to those of our own world. For example; Kei Nagase was born in a country called USEA (AC2 and 3), and she was seen in a US-like country called Osean Federation (AC5) fighting in the air force of that country.

On the other hand, in Ridge Racer Type 4, there are mention of countries that actually

are from our own world, like America and Japan.

Also, in the psp version of RR, the system voice would state the country of origen for each car, like Japan, Itaily, and France.

So, it's obvious they aren't directly related, but still may refrence eachother.

Well Ridge Racer came before GT series. Ridge Racer and Need for Speed are the orginal racing games to have an impact. GT isnt much of a simulater too, I read in a car magazine the one of the cars in the game was used for a real test and the results varied from the model in the game to the real model

this game is one of the worst i've played on ps3 i think... it's not realistic at all... you can drift the wrong way around a corner and it still takes you on the perfect rascing line... and it just plain sucks... the cars don't look like they are actually cornering they don't handle at all like real cars...
