Great way to ruin such good speakers!! putting way to much bass into them! not built for that kind of bass, that's what your sub is for and your even pushing that to the limit. stupid!
your system is worth more than rest of your living room yet you treat it the same way you treat your shitty unfinished house... great way to waste cash on a system set up in a 2x4 room with a speaker on top of your huge sub.
@mononker ok 1 he's probebly got an idea on what his system can handle, 2 i'de like to see your house and setup, 3 he's probebly working on it! Think b4 you speak bud.
I am impressed that these speakers held together for obviously being pushed past their audible limits for the low frequencies. The clarity is completely undistorted which is impressive considering how hard those speakers are working. The finish on the cabinets is beautiful.
1. why don't you listen to real music on a normal audio set?
2. why the huge volume? my two old Orion (Hungarian Orion, not the chineese one. this one was much better in the old days) has 60Watt output, and I never used it over the one quarter... Even on the largest volume I ever used, I saw only a small moving on the membrane... So I ask you again: WHY?
Meu caro, essas caixas não suporta tanto grave assim, você vai fritar a bobina do falante que foi dimensionado para a faixa de médios, use um sub, aliás,essa música é ótima para teste.Apenas não direcionou as frequências para as caixas corretas...
@CRACKpointOHtv no because bose isnt all that, theyre just overpriced... i too used to think bose is top range shit
Have a listen to B&W, Paradigm, Polk audio or monitor audio. Bose is a mid tier brand compared to those, there are better companies with better sound.
Putting the front speaker on a sub isnt a great idea. Put your hand on the sub while playing loud music and you have a knowledge about what he does to the IQ3. But a n1 demo of what IQ3s could do,
couldn't say id recommend using the speakers for bass, I have 2 floorstanding klipsch speakers and still route all the bass to the sub, you will be loosing out on quality from them. Its not like you have a small sub....... However some good movement going on there
Kef speakers are extremely well built and quality but i would not recommend putting that much bass threw them thats what a sub is for. also bass is not everything its quite sad how every kid wants bass bass bass they dont know how to listen to there music. there not really hearing it.
@C815richard i listen and appreciate all music... well most of it. :p i love my classic rock, i also enjoy throwing some classical in there every now n then. I just love my techno and all branches of it hence the bassloving side of me comes out to play lol. But thats what a subs for lol, oh i just turned 20 the other day... so we[i] can still appreciate good quality speakers/music. :D Ive been lookin for some kefs to run through my comp [i have crap logitech -.-'] what ones would u recommend?
@DwNecrid hello i would recommend either the Kef iq1's, iq10's or Kef Q100's all of these are bookshelf speakers that are small enough to fit with in a computer area but big enough to give you loudspeaker sound. They all will give u a very nice clear treble & a smooth midrange but if you want bass you'll have to get a small sub. the iq1's & iq10's are discontinued but u can still get them on amazon & ebay for under $400. the new Kef Q100's sell for about 400-$500. hope that helps cheers!
@C815richard Of course bass is not everything in music. But it doesn't mean they don't know how to listen to music. There are people aswell that are obsesed with the trebbles, you can find speakers that goes up to 40 kHz and more... we are not able to listen to thoses frequencies, we simply don't hear them.
Some people just enjoy bass, for the feelings they give, shaking floors, pressure in the ears. If you like a flat sound it's your choice, it's the same with people that like bass.
@C815richard Ahh..the technicalities. I have owned about 20 pair of bookshelfs and have tested them rigorously through different mid & high end amp sources. The action on his KEF's is normal, that is...if you enter into a musical realm other than the typical Country, Dire Straits, Classical, and Adult Contemporary (Hey Soul Sister Aint That Mr. Mister?). Fine job, Sybek! Chicks Dig Bass too!
song choice is ok...but if you want to blow perfectly good speakers keep it how it is....your putting WWWWWAAAAAAYYYYYYY too much bass to a speaker that is meant to have a frequency response well above 150hz.....bass is for your SUBWOOFER, NOT bookshelf speakers.....look at the video at about 2:40...your bookshelf speaker excursion should NOT match your subwoofers....your just ASKING for a blown voice coil
:-) In any case speakers should be placed ON your "hi-fi" rack ! This is a non sense solution to spend money on a rather good CD player to kill the effect like this. Basses under 20hz will not do anything for music, this is just a visual effect to impress your friends and your own eyes ! Put thos IQ's on dedicated stand, throw away that 15 inches by the window ! :-) Or try to buy you some iQ70 or iQ90 and enjoy. Cheers. I am a pro bass player but hate to much basses on speakers ! ;-)
