  • Somebody watched too much porn..

  • @LuskBlake Hahah It's possible ;-) but the idea for this came from friends and family being hit by rogue anti-virus programs that would hijack your browser and install if you clicked anywhere. A panic button seemed like a bonus, though admittedly DOS is not my preference. I just did it for fun.

  • I CAN'T CREATE IT!!

  • already to complicated. windows key + L

  • @xXhighwolfXx hahah That's a good screen cover, but the 'offending' process continues to run and your speakers will continue to play as well. ;-)

  • @Aardaerimus I usually mute, if i have any porn up. not because of others in the house.it's because the moaning of girls in porn is just to annoying. it doesn't sound real, or even that they just don't seem to enjoy it, especially if its Asian. they sound like 5 year old girls in an anime.

Though others are not like me so yeah your right about the offending noises coming from the speakers.

  • now i wont get caught by my parents while watching porn! :P

  • net stop will shut down services, a lot of applications can be closed this way, i have a script running on startup that kills about 10 services i don't want running, that my dad dosen't like me shutting down for him, so i have to do it on only my xp account

  • Right-click -> Edit works on XP too.

  • not working on windows xp

  • @DjsamNo1 Make sure that you don't have file extensions hidden in your Folder Options. This is the number one cause of failure on this. What people often end up with is a file.bat.txt, but the .txt is hidden so they don't know and the file just keeps opening in notepad.

  • @Aardaerimus

i got it working yesterday, and yes i noticed that file was "file.bat.txt" so i just changed the file format txt to bat with winrar.

  • @Aardaerimus I don't know about hidden file extensions but I have Vista and got the .bat.txt too but It was visible so I renamed it just bat and it worked!

  • Thanks, really helpful ;)

  • wow this videos the best

  • Doesnt work with 7. No .bat

  • @mounsteres I am on Win 7, now, and I was just curious, so I tested it and it worked just fine. By default, Windows 7 will hide file extensions of known types (always been a major vulnerability issue in Windows).

If you open a folder and click TOOLS --> FOLDER OPTIONS --> VIEW then scroll down and deselect "hide file extensions for known types", you'll then be able to change your .txt to .bat.

    Hope this helps! :-)

  • @Aardaerimus Note - You should click the "Apply to all folders" button, too.

  • TNX man good video

  • this helps when im looking at porn.

  • WOW THX!

  • @Headcrabman99 My pleasure! :-) Thanks for the comment.

  • What website were you looking at?

  • @atienti777 Heheh That was my personal website aardaerimus (dot) com. I've since dismantled it, but I've been thinking about resurrecting it. :-)

  • @Aardaerimus You mean like frankenstine

  • @arrranTheBinweevil Precisely! Nuts, bolts, and lightning included. :-D

  • If it doesn't work for some of you, it's because some versions of Windows (like XP Home) don't have taskkill. In that case, use a similar program named tskill, which only kills .exe processes and is less powerful but still works in most cases. Don't put the file extension or any switches.

    Example of tskill:

    tskill firefox

Or just search for "taskkill download".

    Cheers

  • @ThexDarksider Oh noes!! I hadn't considered the discrepancies between the various versions of XP. *oops*

Glad you pointed that out. Thanks!

  • @Aardaerimus You are welcome :)

  • For some reason...XP, Vista and Windows 7 is popular soo far!

  • yah, on xp wont work either...fun vid tho :)

  • Thanks for the comment. :-)

It does work on XP, though. I originally came up with the idea on my work computer, which is running XP.

One thing that people may run into, that I didn't consider before, is when they have common file extensions hidden (.exe,.bat,.jpg,etc.) If this is the case it may not actually let you change the file type when you rename to .bat.

You can enable file extensions in any folder by changing the view options in the folder.

  • @Aardaerimus hey worked thanx :)

  • My pleasure - and thank you, again, for the reply! :-D

  • hey it works lol thank you 5 stars

  • It won't work :(

  • Are you on a Mac?

  • nice

  • Thanks :-)
