Those things you mentioned I do not believe either. I must have slept in Church during those lessons. But seriously, I am more interested in whether and why you believe in the doctrine of the Trinity or other things related to the content of the video, the protestant reformers, the Nicene and other creeds etc. The things you mention seem more like responses to a video about the Journal of Discourses (though I think you also misinterpret LDS scripture). Since the Nicene Creed was first adopted in A.D. 325, it seems clear that there were many Christians in the first centuries following the resurrection of Christ who did not use it. Those who oppose calling the Latter-day Saints "Christians" need to explain whether Peter and Paul are "Christians," since they lived and practiced Christianity at a time when there was no Nicene Creed, and no Trinitarianism in the current sense.

Critics may try to argue that the Nicene Creed is merely a statement of Biblical principles, but Bible scholarship is very clear that the Nicene Creed was an innovation.
The trinity isn't from the apostles.

Yes, you are right, the followers of Arius. But they were so focused on skewering Arius that as a result they came up with all this three is one but not one concept that was farther from original Christianity than even Arius. For Isaiah 48:16, are you thinking that the Lord God and His spirit supports the doctrine of the Trinity? If it said "the Lord God and his His spirit that are one in the same" or something like that--it would suggest Trinitarianism, but it does not say that. To me, the passages that seem to support the Trinity the most are found in John, "in the beginning was the Word" etc. Again, just my opinion.

You asked me who the speaker was in the verse then I answered Jehovah, and you put that word Jehovah in the wrong place. This is how, according to my answer to your question, it should read:
"Come near to me (Jehovah speaking), hear this; I (Jehovah) have not spoken in secret from the beginning. From its being, I (Jehovah) was there; and now the Lord God (Elohim, a different personnage) and His (Elohim's) Spirit, has sent Me (Jehovah).
Thus saith the Lord (Jehovah), etc.

Sorry for delay.I fell ill for a few days. Looked it up.Chapter 4 of LDS apostle's James Talmage Jesus the Christ.Title of the chapter is "The Antemortal Godship of Christ." Also if you go the the Chuch's web site lds(.)org you can look it up there.I think we just believe differently and won't find common ground over this.
As for Spirit of Elohim?I'm thinking the Holy Ghost.See John 14:16 "another comforter" that for some reason could not be sent while Jesus Christ was on earth.
