What happens if they teleport the other way on the CW option select?

I tried doing the input the opposite way, but it doesn't work, I only get tenshin.

so its like its showing you what moves you should do after a certain character does something?

what happens is, you do the first move (jump in), and you buffer the second one to counter something, and then continue on.

If your opponent does the "something", the option select will activate and you'll do that instead.

I.e. with the akuma one, if akuma DOESNT teleport, the chicken wing wont come out, so you just continue your block string as is.

if he DOES teleport, then your chicken wing will automatically come out because you buffered the input as an option select.

A lot of Japanese players have the console version. They do experiment a little bit here and there. Also note some good Japanese players have picked up console characters and play online. I think the God's Garden tournament was held on 360.

These are Fei long option selects. For example, the blanka situation. If Blanka does nothing or fails to do the EX Ball, he has to block the cross-up. Even if he does get the blanka ball, fei long is still free to punish with an HP rekka, doing more damage than the one he was dealt.
