@sheikra1000 especially good when you get on oddysey forums to find out that people are not getting the great promised 28. People have to face it, these are big heavy vehicles that do pretty well overall considering their impressive performance. If you take any vehicle on roads flat and straight near the coast, expect much better gas consumption compared to rolling highway. I know I avged 34 in the T and C that way.
@sheikra1000 Continuing my thought, I generally do 22-24 mixed driving hitting way too many redlights. This thing hauls well, loaded with 6 people and I have never had an issue with heavy mountain driving. When it is just me, I can really make it go, and can take a hard curve at easily over 55 mph. I'm not mean enough to subject passengers to a test.
I test drove one a couple weeks ago, along with the Odyssey, Sienna, Quest and Sedona and after much deliberation, the 2 best ones were the Odyssey and Quest. My wife and I decided on the Odyssey. It's just so much better...in every way.
@TJC450 don't external antennas give better reception? my mom's old civic (well 2008) didn't have one and my dad's truck always managed to get radio in areas she couldn't.
Myself I've given up on most American cars: I've owned two Chryslers, a '98 Dodge Intrepid, a car that I liked but whose transmission blew up for no reason costing me a fortune to repair, and then it was inexplicably discontinued, another American orphan and yet another slap in the face of a loyal American consumer... and I also owned a '02 Sebring (don't get me started on the low quality).
Add to this the UAW bailouts & the "green" Obama-cars... FORGET IT!!!
@USA4July1776 youve only owned chrysler cars and you have a few bad experiences and then give up on all of American cars? that's not the cars thats just you being stereotypical and ignorant. you cant give up on all cars until you try them all
well I've owned 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees ( 2003 and 2005), a 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport, 2001 Pontiac Grand AM, 2001 Chevy Cavalier, 2000 GMC Jimmy, 1996 Chevy Lumina, 1990 Chevy Beretta GT, 1994 Dodge Intrepid, and a 2005 Honda Accord LX sedan. I CAN honestly say that the only trouble free car in this long list is my Accord. The Chrysler products were made much more cheaply than any of the GM cars...my experience with GM just kept getting worse from 2000 on...USA4July1776 has a point
This car is much better but there are still electrical problems pluaging chrysler and fit and finish is still typical chrysler, even if it was improved.
And a bailout from Obama, you forgot that one....

@OfficialRugby no....ford and gm quit making vans to focus on their crossovers...that are making minivans disappear!

@Paultoledo1990 which is sad now :P since in addition to the T and C, i got a low mileage 1997 astro van!

In this edition where this was tested (7/2011), it scored a 74 on their road test, not bad. However, it trails Odyssey and Sienna.

Chrysler vans aren't as good as the Asian imports, but WAY better than Ford and GM's vans.

Still not great, but way nicer than the pre-facelift version. Still think the previous generation's "sportier" styling looked much better.

Needs one of those pieces of plastic that go over the rear wiper.
js
and chrysler needs to do away w/ external antennas.
