  • I'm making a "25 favorite Radiohead songs" CD for my dad and my sister and while I love this song, I wasn't sure I was going to include it.

Then I watched this video and was so moved by Thom's performance that I realized I HAVE to include this song, it's brilliant. What an incredible performance. Seeing Thom moved to tears by this song---I'll never listen to it again in the same way.

"Sometimes I get over charged / That's when you see you sparks"

  • seriously, people seem to spend more time worrying about how many viewers disliked the video rather than enjoying the content for themselves, what is that? some kind of inferiority complex or something? FFS just stop it already

  • Oh Johnny, wow.

  • Radiohead always ends its albums with fucking masterpieces: Blow Out, Street Spirit (Fade Out), The Tourist, Motion Picture Soundtrack, Life In A Glass House, A Wolf At The Door, Videotape, Separator. Always making it a satisfying album listening at the end.

  • @TechnoCharpie Shit yeah!

  • The emotion's i feel from this song can't be put into words... it's beautiful

  • i remember driving back from the party which ruined my life at 12:00am and listening to this song as i drifted through the yellow glow of the city at night time. before the party i played the earlier tracks and when i go bak into the car, having realised that i had just made the worst decision of my life-i turned up the volume and drifted emotionless through the night life. this song will always hold a special place in my heart for it represented the end of my life-and the beginning of a new one

  • I was driving home from work listening to this and when he was saying "slow down", I kinda started to feel light headed and slowed my car down. As i approached the top of the hill I daydreamed about hitting a kid with my car, and just as i was cresting the hill, sure enough a kid ran right across the road. I would have hit him

  • @Matthew1242 Synchronicity...

  • @Matthew1242 should of sped up and finished off the little bugger-natural selection goddammit!

  • @Caesarslegion1 fuck off you absolute cunt

  • @ciaranmccusker 10 POINTS! (I scream as I run over innocent children in school zones)

  • @Caesarslegion1 You are a piece of shit!!!Fuck you!!!!

  • @ladymetchi nah

  • como pueden haber 15 personas a las que no les guste esto?????

  • great song, but he has butchered it here at the end. I think he is failing to get power into his voice on the last couplet.. possibly because he's been singing for two hours, and it's just not possible outside of the studio..

  • @geansai333 Idiot slow down

  • @geansai333 Muse stole his voice.

  • @geansai333

he was crying, look at the end.

  • @geansai333 he was crying, look at the end.

  • THIS SONG IS ABOUT U.F.O!!!!I BELIEVE THAT!!!

  • @demint no jonny wrote this song when he was in paris and saw all the people just walk by not even paying attention to the beautiful art around them

  • Pretty sick guitar solo. Man Greenwood is pretty pretty pretty good at guitar

  • i asked the question "they ask me where the hell i'm going, at a thousand feet per second" on yahoo answers, and NO ONE knew what i was talking about. they're all like "get off meth". can't some true radiohead fans join yahoo answers?

  • @LolaLavonda

Yeah, Jonny Greenwood wrote it after seeing a group of American Tourists outside the Louvre in Paris, running around like idiots, trying to see all the great art & sites, in like, 5 minutes! Wondering why they just dont slow down a bit & appreciate whats on offer I guess.

Like all great art & songs, can have multiple meanings but I have quoted what Jonny Greenwood told Q Magazine on the songs origins. Checked it out as was curious myself as one of my favourite Radiohead songs.

  • Seriously, THIRTEEN dislikes!?!?! WTF!

  • i love how emotional thom gets at the end. this is such a beautiful, powerful song i don't blame him for crying a bit.

  • I miss Radiohead

  • I miss Radiohead

  • his voice was starting to go at the end there...hear that wonky falsetto? glad he knows how to not blow out his vocal chords

  • my broken speaker make a feedback making this song more awesome and beautiful himself

  • i love the drummer its like it just gets to much to feel sometimes and he has to kinda shut it off to play

  • jonny Rocks !! @3:35

  • Thom in tears.... beautiful!

  • i love this performance.

thank the sun for radiohead man!

  • I like how some old comments hold up. That guy said 12 people 4 months ago and to this day there's still exactly 12 dislikes.

  • @EisforEvil Damn! 13...

  • This song describes perfectly the actual situation of this fucking world... It makes me feel empty but full at the same time...

  • supersound

  • This song is sometimes too intense, which in the end makes me come back it.. Strange..

  • I've found it's impossible to find a bad Radiohead song :/

  • the best way to commit suicide is to yell "I HATE RADIOHEAD" in public

  • LOVE THIS SONG.

  • anyone notice the apple logo on thom's guitar at 4:19?

  • beautiful indeed

  • bit of a screw up there 4:30 lol i love greenwood's guitar though

  • Comment removed

  • The more gentle 3 guitar attack. Beautiful!!!

  • This is one of the few songs that manages to encapsulate whatever I'm feeling right that minute when I'm listening to it, whether I'm happy, melancholy, angry, whatever. I don't know how they do it.

  • no mames D:

  • Saw them stoned out of my brain in Nottingham about 9 years ago, was an awesome experience =)

  • 4:25 I love how yorke is enjoying! very nice feeling

  • @ellioteaston93 hahahahaha

  • Ok Computer is absolutely incredible, but I've been listening to the band for a long time and I have to say a couple of their other albums exceed it, these being Kid A, Amnesiac, and Hail To The Thief, because these albums were the albums where Radiohead went places that NOBODY has gone before.

  • he is crying!!

  • OK COMPUTER still my 1st Fav. Album!

  • THE OK COMPUTER IS THE BEST ALBUM EVER.

This music is ideal for the last song of the album.

  • sorry johnny depp, not that tourist

  • tha apology of the slow down culture.

  • tom is god

  • I love how everyone has their eyes closed for most of the song..tells us how much thought and effort they are putting into this performance

  • Slow down...This song is so fucking beautiful

  • 12 idiots that dislike

  • JONNY GREENWOOD = BADASS.

  • 12 iDiots need to slow down

  • @dcmack1984 just cuz you say shit like that makes me want to thumbs down so bad!

  • @jeremynischuk that's great and all but I really don't care. Do whatcha wanna

  • @dcmack1984 You are more clever than that. I know.

  • @mth03d you don't know my life bro. I do what I want

  • @dcmack1984 13...

  • Has Thom been to the Graham Gooch clinic as he seems to have more hair now than back then

  • Thom totally messed the fuck up at the end and he totally knows it!

  • @kinversoni ..You slow down, idiot!

  • Jonny Greenwood's dreamy guitar playing, Phillip Selway's occasional drumming, with Thom Yorke's relaxing high voice, and his slow singing create a beautiful relaxing ending to a great album.

  • 4:25 Thom couldnt resist the awesomenss of his song and starts to convultion.....in a good way (Y)

  • The audience is so quiet, I would be too.

  • HOW CAN ANY ONE DISLIKE THIS THOSE 10 IDIOTS MUST BE HANA MONTANA FANS LOL

RADIOHEAD THE GREATEST BAND TO EVER LIVE RADIOHEAD 4 EVER 4 EVER 4 EVER

  • Ed's hand was a little low on Jonny's back at the end...hehehe

  • @zerochance01 I can't blame him. ;)

  • @zerochance01 Well Ed is very tall, maybe he's not sure how low he should put his hand.

  • Great!! And Thom is out of tune at the end? He's human, after all :D. But again, great!!

  • where was this recorded?

  • Stupid 10 persons

  • @Fernesur

in every good song there is that comment about the people who DISLIKE IT...

    fuck them....

    we dont care...

listen to fucking song and enjoy it

  • I feel like I would be absolutely joyous if they decided to play this on their next tours. It doesn't seem they do much anymore though...

  • Poster of this video.... I'm sorry I made your parade sad :( I didn't mean to.

  • ben affleck on rhythm guitar and backing vocals ladies and gentlemen!

  • @nickfromCO i like every song of radiohead... :)

  • @MAlexRG Including Creep?

  • Jonny Greenwood = guitar legend.

  • idiooott slooowwww dddoooownnnnn!! this is for u bieber jajajaja....oh boy ì`m in love with radio, they`re mi fav band with the beatles

  • @KONTEREKpl HEEEEY MAAAN SLOW DOWN! :)

  • @KONTEREKpl Hey, idiot, speed up.

  • @KONTEREKpl mine is 54 so..... :(

  • thom is crying

  • Why does people compare Coldplay and Radiohead? Chris Martin has said that one of his biggest influences is Radiohead, and that he will never make something as genious as OK Computer. Wikipedia Chris Martin and you'll see. Dumbfucks.

  • @SERLITZ yeah radiohead is legend, and coldplay is, just coldplay...

  • awesome...just awesome

  • משגע

  • @oriyadalal,

    SHALOM MY FRIEND.

  • AMO A YORKE Y A GREENWOOD ♥

    definitivamente los amo

  • que capo q es jonny!!

  • ohhh fuuuck, started tearing up when it was over 0.0

  • the tourist is my favorite radiohead's song, I think it's beautiful, but I don't know why they almost never play it live...

  • @andyrawsyou i read somewhere that they said it sounded so different to what Radiohead actually was, so they didn't play it often, it was just a short change from the sound of OK Computer

  • for non believers, superb quality

    /watch?v=iTdeZ8Ap6wg&playnext_from=TL&videos=8yTE2RJZzBM

  • underrated song

  • coldplay and muse are soo far from this music

  • their live performances not only maintain the crispness and clarity of the recorded versions, but increase the pathos, the emotional content, immensely - Yorke is right there, doing it, feeling it - you can see how he feels, and resonate with him - transcendent!

  • As I'm sure it's been stated here before... stellar ending to a stellar album.

  • What's the model of guitar Jonny's using? I, for some reason, always thought it was a Gibson Es125t but that doesn't look like one!

  • @ThomComputer its a fender starcaster

  • @frunkus88 i fuckin knew that! once! remember lookin it up and finding out the only starcasters they make are crappy copys of teles or strats. gutted.

should listen more. stopped bein a radiohead lunatic a while ago. bad life choice. sound man :)

  • Everyone I know listens to freaking rap and hip hop. They don't understand how amazing Radiohead is! It pisses me off! IDIOT SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • one of my favorite slow songs of them

  • Greatest album ever made. Its so capturing and therapeutic, although I admit sometimes too lonely after a while, but hard to get tired of. 100 times better than DSotM.

  • @Electric2000 i dont know if i would say that...but its right up there with dark side, no doubt about it.

  • Probably my favorite song on "OK Computer." It's a perfect cap to what is one of the best albums ever mad.

  • 3:35, ladies and gentlemen....Mr. Johnny Greenwood

  • one of my favs

  • thom,s voice is so beautiful, it,s make,s me cry

  • a tear and a smile

i know exactly how that feels :]

  • Chemistry. School chums, two of them blood bros., all from the same hood. British eccentricity to boot. So much of it is chemistry, and its wonderful.

  • i'm a bit of a tourist when it comes to radiohead. but i've creeped into the room and wanna let u know bout a radiohead collabo ive just seen on utube. stan street spirit. its class

  • who cares who their influences are. they are MY influences. this song makes me slow down... we'd all be a lot better heeding thom's advice.. slow the fuck down guys...

  • @danwenzel. lol Simon cowell's a prick, a very clever prick, but still a prick..and wheres he loved most..America

  • 3:32 is that a tear?

  • This is one of the only songs written solely by Jonny Greenwood by Radiohead, and it's sheer brilliance.

  • this song removes all my stress

  • love the spanking at the end

  • IDIOOOT SLOW DOWN

    SLOOOW DOOOWN...

  • HEEEEY MAAAAAN SLOW DOWN...

  • NO 1 does it like the British. you yanks can stick bon jovi and the like, right were it belongs..

  • no one fucked up the 80s music scene like A Flock of Seagulls. thanks the British!

  • Except for Joy Division, that entire decade was a train wreck. I prefer not to think about it.

  • agreed, love JD. a few bands rose from the punk/rock scenes on the coasts, but overall, it was a sucky era, especially for pop. and god damn the day when jazz went smooth.

  • I agree mainly but the USA has made some great music.

  • American Blues + British = Rock Music

  • @hotwerkMusic Motown aswell.

  • YES, thank you for mentioning that, I forgot

  • You are terribly ignorant, i can absolutely guarantee you Radiohead was influenced by American musicians.

Thom Yorke himself said that listening to Miles Davis was the starting point for OK Computer, But you probably didn't know that.

    Miles Davis is American.

  • I thought he was Canadian

but then I guess he would be Kilometers Davis

  • @farizzal That's hilarious, oh man... love it

  • @soleilmh hahaa I don't even remember why I made that comment

  • @farizzal as someone with the name Miles I can assure you... we've heard it!

  • And I'm sure Dylan, Jeff Buckley, and, for their earlier music, Nirvana did nothing to influence Radiohead.

And Simon Cowell is a godsend on the world of music, straight out of England. God i hate ignorant arrogance. Not you OxyGone, the chap you're addressing.

  • @danwenzel simon cowell should die.

  • @OxygenGone aphex twin are a large influence on ther later work, and sonic youth have a good influence on them

  • @cyrusbob1 it is true the british have always had thee best rock music

but radioheads probably favorite band is from my town- Boston, Massachusetts

  • @elurseeknay theyre favourite band was the smiths. They are english. now they listen to electro from europe ;) I met Ed O'Brien and he told me so hehe

  • @Gilmourisgreat maybe they are ed's favorite but not thom

    from a guitar world article

Sure, the influence of bands like the Pixies—whom Yorke has repeatedly called “the greatest band ever"

  • amazing. one of the best ever

  • Absolutely amazing performance, Jonny was playing that guitar with his soul.

  • wow Johnnys guitar solo just blew me away

  • just a fifty hit wonder. They won't last....

  • hahaha :)

  • if u say he sounds so powerful and good, how would u say he sound horrible?

how do u define a horrible voise?

  • Did Daddy also teach you spelling? English grammar?

  • yeah, Thom's voice also thinks you're horrible;

    .|.

  • did you read the rest of my fucking sentence you susceptible paranoiac freak!

  • well actually, thom said he works for his voice to sound shittier than expected... because he likes it, you guys are funny all ready to put yourselves on the line to Defend Thom Yorke... lolololol... he would give you that look that freezes the soul for being such a fuckin groupy.

Thom is more awesome than awesomeness and he doesnt need people to say ''oh what a nice voice!''... you should pay attention to the lyrics.

  • how the fuck do you keep talking like thom is your friend. ??

  • It is funny, when people pretend they are friends of famous people. Madonna only last night said to me how much she hated name droppers, me too.

  • yeah, now im forever going to talk about you like you're a retard that ive met in person

  • you cant say stupid shit like seen on a professional way, thoms voice sucks and follow it with hes natural and good and it be ok. you are tonedeaf, if you knew anything abou music, you would realize thoms voice is another amazing instrument with some of the most technical harmonies ever. he uses his voice as an instrument and its really good musically.

  • hey baby wANNA have sex?
