  • i hate tattoos, electronic or not!

  • thanks for posting this Ivan; this is so rare! are you still in contact with Debbie?

  • Seriously, push come to shove, who was better than Blondie??

  • Love that haircut!

  • My right ear is lonely...........

  • she was HOT

  • Wow. Great video. Take the useless titles off it and I will proclaim you king. Until then...

  • Good stuff , ty

  • cool post - thanks - Platinum Blonde, right?...one of the tracks on the demo 45...had this one yrs ago

  • A huge thanks from Frydek-Mistek!!!!!!

  • Thanks for posting this- Debbie looks stunning.

  • Ivan, The drummer is Billy O'Connor. He is still playing in Pittsburgh, PA with a band called The Elliotts. Check him out at "the elliotts online"

  • Always the pretty baby!

  • Ivan--I need more of your rare early Blondie clips! You've got me addicted? Where's my fix?

  • Ivan thanks for posting this video. I am a huge Debbie Harry fan have seen her in concert 18 times since 1978. Debbie looks hot as hell in this video. I even went to CBGB's before it closed just because of her. It's always interesting to see someone just before the become really famous. I am exited for her to be putting out a new album this month on amazon. I really want to see her in concert again. Do you keep in touch with any of them?

  • Is this clip copyrighted? Is it? IS IT? I CAN'T TELL!

  • guau, you were part of history (:

    thank you ?

  • and how lucky were you, ivan, to have been part of what i think is the most interesting sub-culture of rock history?!? thanks for this.....debbie is gorgeous here with her hair in that fashion.

  • Thanks Ivan Kral for ruining that video of Debbie Harry.

  • "Platinum Blonde" is the song...

  • Is the show the Ramones opened?

  • Shame about the watermark!

  • Aside from a watermark which sucks all the cool from both the audio and the video, I love it!

  • It's wild to think that most of the clips we've ever seen of Debbie were when she was already in her early 30's. Always wondered what she looked like in her 20's. Well no surprise she was a cutie back then too.

  • Oh my god! Fred Smith!

  • @heatherskitty75 - Television's Fred Smith, not the MC5 guy.

  • @Timmybear Yes, yes I know.

  • @Timmybear Yes, I was aware of this.

  • @heatherskitty75 - I had quite a comedy-routine exchange with a friend over just that Fred Smith confusion a year or so ago. I finally had to spell it out: 'There are two Fred Smiths. The one from Television is alive, and was not the Fred Smith in MC5. The Fred Smith from MC5 is dead, and was never in Television, while the one from Television is alive and well.' So I'm never sure... :)

  • Isn't this when they were called Angel and the Snake? Way too cool!!! Ivan . . . please . . . give us more!! You were there dude?!?!?!? Can I touch the hem of your garment?!? Seriously . . . unbelievably bitchin that you filmed this!

  • Love this for all the seconds its worth great find

  • Aside from seeing Ivan with all the PSG tours, did see you when you toured with Iggy, Brian James and Glenn Matlock...thx for all your great music.

  • Hey Ivan Kral (it's strange to directly talk to someone who's music you have enjoyed so much), I just wanted to say I think it's great to see all this footage, and I think it's very nice that you're sharing it with us.

For me it's like getting warped to a very exciting time which I am sadly far too young too experience any of it.

Perhaps it's an idea to compile all this stuff and release it on dvd?

By the way, you're guitars look great, nice Fenders!

    Thanks again!

  • awesome ¡¡¡¡ thanks for uploading this f**** amazing video

  • wow, great moments!!!

  • Wow - im still on a high from "new york rocker", which i recently tore through, in just a few days.

very nice piece of footage from the heady days we can only read about! ah, so thats fred smith and ivan kral.

  • she`s so beautiful

  • even for me the most rare Blondie ever seen...really amzing...thanks Ivan!! From Italy Merry Christmas and Happy new year to u and all the Blondie fan all around the world

  • I was beginning to wonder if no one knew how to operate a camera during these early performances, or if all the video had been thrown out when "punk" seemed to pass on into oblivion. For a band that became very successful there is a remarkable lack of non-television related performance footage compared to bands like the Ramones. The only performance I have ever seen at CBGBs is that 1975 video of "A Girl Should Know Better." Nice to know there may be something else out there.

  • early Blondie-Platinum Blonde 1974

  • Is that the Billy-the-law-student-who-used-to-fall-asleep-during-rehearsals guy?

  • aw she sounds dead young!

  • johnjohnb1 and annebeauj: big thx to both of u for giving the viewers a Blondie history lesson.........Ivan

  • Is this the same Billy O'Connor that just played in Liverpool with the fabulous Elliotts?

  • Sorry but I find it real odd that you give the names of Tish and Snooky when it's obvious she was talking about Elda and Amanda. I mean look at Stilettos pictures: It's always Debbie, Elda and Amanda in front. I mean after all, you saw them live a bunch of times, or so you claim. Why didn't you mention Elda and Amanda? I mean hardly anyone ever notices back up singers...

  • Comment removed

  • Well back then Blondie was considered to be a joke because they pretty much sucked live, so it's no surprise half of its original members bailed out. Belonging to that band was embarrassing. Little did they know! hahah. But it's a fact that they were already using the name "Blondie" by October 1974. And it's most certain they were "Blondie and Banzai Babies" just before .And Before that it was "Angel and the Snake". So no chance this video is from the "Angel ..." period. :)

  • Yes, it's def Blondie, the second generation from October 1974 to August 1975. The line up was the following: Debbie Harry , Billy O'Connor, Clem Burke, Chris Stein, Fred Smith, Ivan Kral and Tish and Snookie Bellomo as back up singers. By that time they were already using the name "Blondie".

  • That is true, Elda Gentile and Debbie were the masterminds behind the Stilettos. I can't find the black girl's name online but I know It's either Amanda Jones or Rosie Ross according to Allan Metz. A lot of people became part of the stilettos but they were considered a girl trio. I saw a flyer promoting a gig where the NY Dolls were sharing the stage with the "girl trio Stilettos". Also at one point the band was called "Blondie and the Banzai babies" so this video could belong to that era.

  • Amazing footage here- and a fan of your guitar playing. Thanks for posting this.

  • This is great Ivan - hope we get to see some more! Is it Billy on drums?

  • Thank you.

Yes, Billy O'Connor was playing drums.

    (Pre-Clem Burke)

  • You are very kind.

  • Wow, this is fantastic. So are you.. the great Ivan Kral, as in the Ivan Kral who played on Horses?

    Thanks a lot for uploading!

  • This is very precious stuff. Please find more and post. We all appreciate the work you've put in to upload these clips and I'm sure all Blondie fans feel the same Ivan!

  • Thank you.

  • wow this is amazing, thanks so much for this!

  • Eyeliners were in and so was vintage clothes.

Chris had an original way of ending songs..

  • doesn't Debbie look adorably girly? I'm so glad I had the camera that day. Glad you enjoy, stay tuned for more.....Ivan

  • omg YOU took this?

    WOW..how lucky are you!

  • @IvanKralVault Yeah her hair still has some of that '60s influence. Never saw this before. Thank you!!

  • where can we see more early Blondie from the vaults?

  • There is so much film footage to go through I am sure

    I will come across more.

    Thank you for watching.

  • so sorry, guyinsf, but foreign film companies "steal" the footage to create music or american documentaries. They profit tremendously and don't credit the filmmaker. I was tired of seeing my clips on a zillion dvds around the world. I agree w/u and hope u understand. thx for watching .....Ivan

  • Great footage but does the watermark have to be so freakin big and centered?

  • Thank you, thank you!!!

  • You welcome..

  • Hi Ivan, Thanks for the video. . .is the drummer Bllly O'Connor? (Pre-Clem Burke)

  • Yes, it is Billy O'Connor.

    Thank you.

  • Wow! This is certainly the rarest Debbie Harry footage I have ever seen! Thanks for posting it Ivan!

  • You are welcomeI

    Enjoy
