I knew that Nintendo would jump on this technology eventually. Did anybody ever play the game called Invizimals? It used the same technology and the same concept to make a pokemon-like game in which you explored your house for monsters you would catch with cards. Pretty much the same thing.

Pikmin, Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Nintendogs+ cats, Castle defence games, perhaps a racegame where you can build your own tracks with the stuff on your desktop. Endless options here....

Take note that the card on the desk is the same size and shape as a Pokémon card, and that the GBA could connect with Pokémon cards using the short-lived e-Reader. I could put all my money on Nintendo releasing a Pokémon TCG augmented reality game.

The thing is, the cards don't seem to need any special 'code' to be read by the 3DS; the 3DS is programmed to read the cards on it's own. So will only new cards be supported or will the previous sets see some love too?
