I was diagnosed when I was 24 after having a stroke. It's very hard to live with. I'm trying to push for heart transplant but we'll see.

i was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy 5 years ago and still on meds but am coping, my 14 yr old daughter has just been diagnosed with early signs and they are starting her on ace inhibitors. i was 35 when diagnosed.

Elias...the love of my life... 32 yrs old just diagnosed with dialeted cardiomyopathy... our dreams collapsed in a day... hope he lives and I will be there for him for ever.. even that means a very difficult life from now on... wish all the people a healthy life.

@illbringthebeers Tell your friend to never give up! I have had cardiomyaphetie for 13 years now,and I am still here.But tell her to be careful with sugar as we more easily develops diabetes,like I have done.

@dimitra29 I know what you are going throu.I was diagnosed with cardiomyaphetie in 1998,but I am still here...Tell Elias to not give up,but enjoy and live every day as it was the last one.This might sund hash,but that is what I had too learn.It does not mean that you have too die at a young age.I am thinking about you and praying for Elias.Never loose hope!

great video and website, i recognise the surgeon from a tv program aired around a month ago called Life Savers, i have dilated cardiomyopathy im 24 years old and possibly might have to undergo a transplant too, i wish you all the best and i will say hello on your guestbook
