Goal Kick Disconnect

does the disconnect happen to everyone when u play online ?? or does it do that only to some players ?????

Dear Wii EA 09 players,

We (EA) apologize for releasing this product without proper testing. Our test document showed we never NEVER have this problem in our lab with fiber optic cable connection. If this problem persists, please upgrade your network or call your ISP provider, tell them to install fiber optic in your house or building. That will fix the problem.

In order to stop goal kick disconnects, follow this sequence of action at the start of the game:

Step 1: Player with the ball at kick off must press start then make a substitution.

Step 2: Return to game then immediately kick the ball out for a goal kick.

Here is a SOLUTION to the goal kick disconnect problem:

- When the match starts the player with first

possession of the ball must make a substitution

- Next, when the match starts he must kick the ball out for a goal kick

- This allows for the substitution to be made and as a result when the goalie kicks the ball it will NOT disconnect on any goal kicks for the remainder of the game

This solution only prevents goal kick disconnects therefore the game may still disconnect for other reasons

i also get disconnect when i join the game. i only here the reffs whisle and that's it. EA told me check my firewall and i checked it and it was worst and the worst part is that only does to this game. not mkwii,ssbb, msc ect.... I NEED HELP!!!!!!

babyluigi95, I'm also disconnected from the server immediately after kick-off. Contacting EA has not lead to a solution. Have you found a solution to this problem???

My connection problem is resolved after taking the following steps: In main menu select 'MY FIFA 09' → 'PROFILES' → 'NEW PROFILE' → make a new profile then press done → 'GAME MODES' → 'ONLINE' → select NO when the server asks to save downloaded squads. I think custom formations were causing the disconnections. Avoid custom formations.
