This is the only movie ever made where the 1991 VHS video restoration is better than the digital DVD version.........in the DVD they struggled with the fianl battle scene.......it looks much better in the video.

Though I believe the slaves captured after being trapped by Craccus,where put to death in the horrific way in the film,along the Appian Way.

Spartacus's real fate was to die bravely with a sword in his hand at the last battle,killing two centurian,officers who wanted the glory of killing him,before he was overwhelmed after a brave struggle. He died in the glory of a true revolutionary, with a sword in his hand.

His name will live on wherever their is injustice.
