  • im guessing it was Tas TV before WIN tv came to TAS???

  • do you have a movi opener with this, if do, please upload

  • Jezza46 has one, TVGuru...

  • This was the first & last station ID produced by the Nine Network for TAS-TV & VIC-TV in 1993. After this, WIN bought out their owners - ENT Limited - in 1995 & rebranded accordingly (Nine produced new IDs & jingles to coincide with this).

  • I can just imagine what it would have been like if WIN hadn't bought Tas TV and Vic TV, and what the ID's would look like, particularly for Tas TV.

  • As for TAS TV, I've got a pretty good idea. Mainly because I saw a 1994 Yellow Pages ad for them which carried a dotty logo, in VIC TV stencil style font, with 'Television' written beneath it. Looks like they were testing out a new logo, & would've have used it if WIN hadn't taken them over...

I remember the day TAS & VIC changed into WIN (on 6am, some Sunday), which triggered the whole Nine Network to introduce us to that purple ID package, bringing Eight Darwin & NBN Newcastle into line...

  • I would love to see that TTV logo stan! Would it have been called Tas Television?

  • Well, I'd imagine they would've still called themselves TAS TV, like VIC TV was doing at the time, even though VIC had 'Television' written beneath its logo too. WIN Television would sometimes call themselves 'WIN TV' aswell.

I'm sure the people at TAS TV could see all the dotty related IDs & promos Nine were going to produce in the future (makes life easier to be dotty, as WIN are learning now). :)
