  • fucking best song that i have felt to this day!

  • Forget how heavy it is when the post-solo section kicks in. Epic!

  • @TheScrewball1982 the whole song is epic man listen to the lyrics there dead on and true

  • @implementDestruction. You being racist and going off judging a entire race because of stereotypes proves alot of Maynards points in this song, fucking monkey stop being a close minded zombie and open your soul to other possibilities.

  • How did this happen? How did modern music get fucked?

1-My favorite voice to hear singing and in my opinion the best. Maynard.

2-Adam Jones for playing in Drop D and may be be doing solos, but making the music flow so amazing.

3-Danny. I don't even have to say anything. The best fucking drummer I've ever heard. (The LedZep drummer and some other guys are close).

4-Name doesn't even matter. This bassiest sets the tone for all the songs.

  • @MrAirsoftDude john bonham dipshit, carry is top gun but never forget the pioneers kid

  • @MrAirsoftDude

Justin Chancellor, I would say his name is pretty important dude

  • Every Tool show i've been to maynard waz in the background, and everybody talk's about him being in the background,so is he REALLY in the background if everybodys talkin about him being there ?? lol think about he get;s more attention being in the back then up front....

  • @mikexliv its not about attention, its to try and hide his identity a little.

  • @motosk8er583 I ment to say think about it?He get's more attention being in the background cuz we all talk about him being there..I know he dosent do it for attention.I also think he does it so ppl can focus on justin adam and danny a little more then ppl do..TOOL ROCKS period!!!!!!! can't wait for a new album..

  • @mikexliv true true, i agree on that!

  • I was abducted by et's and they were listening to this song. i wasn't supposed to hear it, but i did when i was up there. pay heed human, your time is a trial period

  • This song should have been released on the Lateralus album. Last tour that this song would have outdone the studio effort. Shame.

  • Tool por favor ven a Mèxico :(

  • about one more week before watching them on the big day out!! cant wait..hope they'll play this song

  • 5:00 amazing

  • Tool is the most tribal band in the world. I have been to six shows since 1999 and can't wait for #7. Like all tribal music, they seek a unity of sound. That is why Maynard, despite his incredible tenor voice, works so hard to convey a SONIC essence, blending his vocals with the other musicians to create a single energy. It's meant to be hypnotic, trance-inducing . . . moving body and mind. And lest you think it's evil, Maynard closes shows by asking us to go out and do good. Amon.

  • @3:18, sad pandas, I wanted to hear Adam play that part.

    glitch fail.

  • fave tool song.

  • I was at this concert. I drove down from fort stewart. Tool is amazing

  • This song fucking owns!!!

  • anyone notice that this song sounds an awful lot like the live version of pushit from salival?

  • this song is just a masterpiece . everything about it is perfect. chorus, drum solo, epic part after the solo lol. i just love this band and this song.

  • one of my favorite tool songs :)

  • this song is a great example of the complexity and full range that is TOOL . Great song for any novice tool fan TOOL fan, but you kids should have seen them in 91-93...OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!

  • might aswell be my favourite TooL song! that album is just amazazing!

  • me and my friend were in his truck, and i had my mp3 player running through the stereo. We were listening to the 10,000 Days album, and this song came on. Everything froze, and i just focused on this song. This is now my favorite tool song, and in my opinion, one of the most beautiful songs by them

  • its beautiful in the beginning but, whats the word im looking for, for the end, its just a great song! the ending is like the song getting pumped up, it pumps me up everytime b4 a game i gotta play

  • Aint that the fuccn truth! Froze is the same thing i did when i heard this song! Amazing!

  • @Rocket1771 i agree same thing happened when i was in the car with my stepday and it is my absolute favorite song i fall asleep to it everynight

  • @Rocket1771 credit given

  • @Rocket1771 Actually became my personal favorite from them. The lyrics have such a clear and important message to it.

  • @Rocket1771 i think that Right in two is one of the most stunning songs ever.

  • 3 times ive seen TOOL since 10,000 release and NOT ONCE have i seen this song live im fuckin bitter about that.....BUT i met adam jones on saturday so FUCK YALL MWAHHA

  • howd u get to meet him?

  • I'm sure you really met him. Fucking liar!

  • thumbs up for me, thats sick

  • om uploading it in HD! check it out COMMING SOON

  • simply spectacular performance.

  • this song is the shit!! Live!! ridiculous.

  • This was the night, I feel madly in love with this song... I also realized to never go see a Tool show in Florida again...

  • Why?? Just moved to Florida, hoping they schedule a date here this summer... Now you got me worried..

Well, now that I've watched the video I'm guessin you mean all the douchebags talking during the songs.. Is that it?

  • S.Fl just isn't the best place to see shows.. It is not just the douches talking, Maynard also walked off stage during Wings of Marie because someone was shinning a lasor in his eye. The engery in South Fl is just so differant than other places. Like the N.E. is an amazing place to see shows! I am guessing the West Coast is awesome as well. If you go see Tool in South Florida, at least drive to Tampa. :)

  • This is an amazing song. one of my top 5 fave tool songs. love the lyrics.

  • But thats not the point, yes he is a great bassist but the point of tools music is to listen and not to watch so it dont matter who they are filming just listen

  • ^ this man is correct. Music =/= appearance.

  • lovely song! lovely vid! just one complaint...even though im a drummer...and danny is my favourite member, i still think u shudda shown a little more of justin....poor guy....what a bass player....he contributes so much to the band and he was ignored completely in this vid....other than that...awesome footage

  • Best live show in the world.

  • i think it is good though, maynard is in the back watching the screen with their art and singing their song. i'm sure it is much more enjoyable and easier to get in the proper mindset to bring out your best when staring at a screen hearing the music around you, lost in it, rather than conscious of who you are b/c of all the ppl cheering at you,

  • the music is amazing and so is the video in the back

I wish tool would publicly release some of their backing footage even though it is a combination of many artists. the video in the back along with the music takes your mind to somewhere surreal!

damn I wish they would make a dvd of that stuff with Tool music playing

  • Go to their website store, they have a collection of the chet chzar stuff atleast.

  • shit i'm a guitarist myself. I've been playing for 8 yrs. now:classical, folk, blues, jazz, punk, grunge, etc. i play everything. But i have to admit danny is my favorite tool member. A creative drummer w/ good fusion influences. And his set is creative too. Melted down, custome made paiste drum shells. It's like an 8 piece set! That thing has got to weigh half a ton.

  • The person who recorded this gives entirely too much focus to Maynard who chooses to stay in the background these days. There is a whole lot of things going on at a Tool show. Ya miss alot looking at a little.

    Danny and Adam are Gods!

  • yeah i agree with you. Maynard chooses to be anonymous. And heres the camera guy exposing him. Good comment guy

  • hes the most famous member. its not that weird that he wants to put the spotlight on the other members and especially: its not weird that maynard is the one being filmed all the same.

  • no shit. I never said it was weird..noone did. Maynard is the most famous that's true noone said that was weird either. Maynard wants to be anonymous that's all i said.

  • @Ragin1 whoa whoa whoa...if we're going there atleast give justin chancellor credit...look at his work on songs like disposition and the pot he's an outstanding bassist, and deserves credit for that.

  • @infernalsoul666,

    You are so right!

  • @Ragin1 I guess Maynard does not want to have attention focused on him, but on rather other members. This might be the reason he stays back.

  • Amazing song. Even though Maynard never faced the crowd, I still saw his face (I sat on the very right) and I thought the show was great nonetheless.

  • 5:23 and on: Fucking brilliantly breathtaking.... holy fuck what a band

  • Danny Carey is the drum GOD!!! Look forward to see them again in Italy!!!

  • what happened around 3:16 they like changed time signature

  • actually i think there was a clitch in the camera and it skipped. I dont think it had nething to do with the band

  • i want to see them live so bad! i couldnt get tickets to this show cuz they were sold out! i wonder when they're going on tour again i love tool

  • Yo does anyone know what this song is even about. Half of the time I listened to Tool I dont even know what they are talking about I just really like the way everything flows with their music it truly is amazing.

  • its about how humans were given so many things, and we take them for granted and use them wrong, like one line "silly monkeys (us) make a club and beat their brother down" like we can be so much more productive but choose the wrong things

  • well, that's a good interpretation, but only Tool can honestly know what their song is about...

Maynard once said "The music should be more expressive than the words."

So in other words, the music is supposed to express the meaning, not the lyrics.

  • maynard also said that people who are able to give a good meaning to their songs also know that there are very different meaning to every different person. he said no one can really give an exact translation. but my viwe is sort of like gibsonrules, it means to me that we need to take a step back and realize all the stuff we've been given and what we've done with it, then we need to realize what we are able to become because of it, we need to reach our full potential

  • I am lucky to have an awesome brother who found out about their concert in Cincinnati. So we got to see a live version. I am absolutely dieing to go to another concert lik something awful. Worth every penny. You gotta believe they don't have many tours left in them being in the business for 15+ years.

  • i was at the show in cincinnati. unfortunately we got bad seats all the way in the back of the arena and sound quality sucked

  • Danny's not human.

  • Are you trying to say he's a trained monkey?

  • DITTO.

  • DITTO.

  • When it breaks into the heavy part in this song after danny's tabla solo... it makes me want to explode. Like tear my head off and get out of my body, strange yes i know but thats what tool does to me. The power and force harnessed in this song is honestly, dangerous.

  • I am soooo jealous! I have yet to see this song live, and it's definitely one of my favorites. Great post, Danny and Adam are gods. I missed Justin a little; I really love the bass in this song and I just didn't get as much in this performance, but it's still completely amazing. I wish I'd been there!

  • I wish they played this in LA... Got to hear 10,000 days pt. 1 and 2 for the first time they played both in concert it was sick.

  • Goosebumps & Chills!!! This has been one of my favs since the first time I listened to 10,000 Days. Awesome! Peace.

  • That was amazing! I don't know why that isn't one of the radio hits.

  • I agree! See my comments. Peace!

  • Because its too powerfull to be a radio hit, and most bitches out there arent as lucky as you and i who can appreciate intricate delicacy and power such as this.

  • And half the populace is whiny emo teenagers, or just downright women. Also radio is to cheap to afford putting a 9 minute song on. They would lose all there "precious" advertising time.

  • play those dirty tablas you manbeast!!!

  • I love this song, I wish they played it at the Denver show I was at, but we got 10,000 days pts 1&2 and Flood, plus every radio hit they ever had so I cant complain too much, lol.

  • In this song they all have the lead role at one time or another, and playing this live shows that, and if adam does any pinches hotter than that he will be arressted :P

  • Great! Tool NEEDS to put out a dvd live and I will be very very happy when they do!

  • Awesome song. Danny Carey is amazing.

  • a purely amazing performance, it reminded me of the good times I had at the Baltimore show

  • Danny Carey is awesome. Respect!!

  • Great song

    Good Quality
