@steamfan1998 it shouldn't break i put boiling water straight into a stationary engine thingy when i use it also best to use distilled water so any left over water in there wont corrode the inside
Lovely model - I'm rather envious! Wouldn't it be great if Mamod made a ferris wheel or roundabout that could be powered by the electricity generated by the showman's dynamo? I managed it once with a standard TE1a using a Lego Technic motor as a dynamo to power a small Lego ferris wheel until the engine melted the Lego base plate!
I wonder what the output of the showmans engine dynamo is?
nice engine i will hav to add one to my engines. don't worry bout the leak it is a common problem. it should be fine. if u want it gone just put a new washer on it. that should stop it. 5*!
The safety valve will leak thats what its meant to do, if the pressure becomes too much in the boiler it will push the little bit in the middle of the safety valve up and release some pressure so it does not blow up because the boilers are nly made to take so much pressure. The older mamod are more likely to blow up because they were not pressure tested and believe me they do blow up it happened to my friend!
great video! ive been thinkning about geeting one myself... i think you clinched it for me! check out my vid response of my sw1b on its first run. i also have an se1a on my page as well. keep steaming!
Great video!! Me and my dad were going to get one of these at one point. We did because the man in the barbers had a few mamods and said that his son nearly blew up the house!! I still think there cool though!!

I love these little live steam models. My mate had one when we were younger and we always had it going.
I will have to get one and have a play. Thanks for sharing this nice video.

I think to cure the water leak you just need to tighten the safety valve!
Nice engine anyway!

He means that knob like thing that sticking out of there. It looks as if you were using it to adjust throttle.
