'Feeling Alright' was written by Dave Mason, who recorded it with Traffic (which incl. Stevie Winwood, fresh out of the Spencer Davis Group). Mason would later team up with Delaney & Bonnie, who Clapton left Blind Faith (which incl. Winwood) to join. And remember, in the UK, at least, the scene in London was very integrated and incestuous, with everyone playing the same circuit, hanging out at the same clubs, and crossing paths in radio studios (bands used to do a lot of live radio), recording studios, on package tours (where a number of bands would tour together)... there was so much opportunity for the players to get to know of each other.

But you have other artists like: Jack White, Josh Homme, The Black Keys. They take the blues and make it their own and it has just as much of an Impact as the old schollers.
