  • Major League Soul from one of our favorite Englishmen! Kudos to those cats in Europe who recognized and appreciated the Black Man's Blues way before anyone else in the world did. This is the BEST version of this tune.

  • C7 and F7 grooves like crazy when you have the right players!

  • 15 people should be sodomized

  • IF THERE'S HEAVEN - let there be YT there so I can find songs like this to "light up my soul". I bounce around the genres like a butterfly but when I'm in the mood for an all-time soulfull classic I land right here for a while.

  • This is a good song for listening to in the morning. Along with "its a beautiful Morning"

  • note for note....a good feeling...

  • 14 people are not feelin alright at all

  • I cant see hating on a song like this.

  • Thanks for uploading this song! Love IT!

  • 'Feeling Alright' was written by Dave Mason, who recorded it with Traffic (which incl. Stevie Winwood, fresh out of the Spencer Davis Group). Mason would later team up with Delaney & Bonnie, who Clapton left Blind Faith (which incl. Winwood) to join. Then the rhythm section from D&B - Clapton incl. - formed Derek & the Dominoes, while the rest joined Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen, (incl. ex-D&B, Leon Russell). D&B had a hit Mason's 'Only You Know and I Know'. Try 'D&B On Tour w/Eric Clapton CD'

  • @MrCherryJuice so many of rock legends had already legendary bands they have played for before branching out. Doesn't seem or feel remotely the same today.

  • @onany851 - True. The situation has changed dramatically since the 'corporatization' of rock. And remember, in the UK, at least, the scene in London was very integrated and incestuous, with everyone playing the same circuit, hanging out at the same clubs, and crossing paths in radio studios (bands used to do a lot of live radio), recording studios, on package tours (where a number of bands would tour together)... there was so much opportunity for the players to get to know of each other.

  • Mr. Cocker is briliante in his unique way....a haa...

  • may they not feeling so good themselves...

  • I have a key for you. Celticpridrism

  • Traffic or Joe? No comp. Joe covers songs and just feeeeels it. Traffic, Spencer Davis Group, EC in a class by themselves. JC is who set a generation on fire with

love peace happiness and acid. ORIGINAL HIPPIES. He is soulful. Traffic is young

  • rock out!

  • how could people even dislike this song?

they must not be feeling alright, or something ...

  • @ninjalover33 haha, now this is a nice comment regarding dislikes

  • @ninjalover33 They're not feeling too good, themselves.

  • @ninjalover33 I dislike videos where fags like you are in the top comments saying something about how many people disliked the video

  • @ninjalover33 People now-a-days have no idea what real music is, too busy listening to garbage.

  • @batzoverbarstow That's because real music isn't designed for merchandising, so it takes a back seat. Garbage sells.

  • @batzoverbarstow Hey I thought Garbage was a pretty decent band.

  • @ninjalover33 Uh huh. Not feeling that good, themselves.

  • joe cocker ... kicks ass

  • Even in the barrio of South San Gabriel Lomas, Joe kicked ass. We put a deep groove in this album. Many fine memories, and friends were made.

  • just the song to make you dance like no one is watching!!!!!!! its got the right ....... bounce... only Joe Cocker adds!!

  • just the song to make you dance like no one is watching!!!!!!!

  • This is so awesome! Heard it in my history class and had to find out who it was! And I found it! Rockin'!

  • I heard it when I was out in a car that was passing and I HAD to come home and hear it real load and be moving my brothers!

  • Joe Cocker is the only man who can take a masterpiece from the likes of The Beatles or in this case Traffic, and make it even better than the original...

  • 3rd time Ive listened to this today so I'll leave a comment.

  • She came in through the bathroom window.................Brother Joe...my man!!

  • The great Carol Kaye on bass and Artie Butler on piano. What a groove!

  • Saw Joe a few years back when he opened for the Steve Miller Band. He was way better and blew me away! The whole audience was on their feet and when he did this for the encore, it was one of those awesome moments where I felt priveleged to actually see it. Because the chance may not come again. Totally groovy awesome.

  • I guess 11 people aren't "Feelin' Alright"..lol!!!

  • Been looking for this song for a while and couldn't find it. I thought Ray Charles was singing it. Glad I discovered the correct artist.

  • 11% of the people have absolutely no soul.

  • @christianpainter. Not racist bro, it's the style, the blues the way it's suppose to be sung, with a soulful voice. Someimes, it sounds like a black man singing. It's staying true to the style. But you have other artists like: Jack White, Josh Homme, The Black Keys. They take the blues and make it their own and it has just as much of an Impact as the old schollers.

  • Legendary studio bassist, Carol Kay laying down the bass track!

  • Joe Crocker is an inspiration to all those with muscular dystrophy, like my son Ethan.

    Thanks Joe!

  • joe at his best

  • My dad has this cd and i swear I thought joe was black by his voice

  • @ChristianPainter Dude, I thought Huey Lewis was black.

  • @allhailrussell

Hahahah dude I'm joking... I meant no offense at all. It just looked that way to me so I figured I'd give you a little shit about it for fun.

  • @damidgiteer ok,cool then were all just havin fun,its more fun insulting people

    time.

  • Cocker is a God!

  • Steve Winwood (Traffic) wrote this track

  • @brasstacksthemovie Right band (Traffic) wrong writer, Dave Mason wrote this song. Nice Bass work by Carol Kaye one of the most prolific Bass players from the 60's & 70's.

  • No matter which way I looking it this is great music...;-))))

  • LOL LOL

  • When first heard this song I thought Elvis sang this song.

  • how can 11 idiots not like this song

  • how can 11 idiots not like this song

  • lol it's PARAPPA THE RAPPER!!!

  • You probably wouldn't think this song was from the late 1960's, but even though it's quite likely been digitally remastered since then, it was well ahead of its time.

  • This song is awesome!!! So groovy that my balls get goosebumps!!

Another magnificent example that the old time music is sooooooooooo much

better than the crap they try feeding us with today..

Listen to the drummer, god damn it!!!

    FEELING ALRIGHT!!! :-)

  • @CharlieMcCotton Now I would like to see that :) or should I say feel that.....

  • @pungooer Please correct me if I've got it all wrong. You would like to see my balls get goosebumps!?

I don`t recall having met anyone with the same fascination for my balls so I guess it can be arranged. ;-)

  • @CharlieMcCotton Amen to that!

  • This intro, the delivery of his voice, the back-up singer's, everything done here is a masterpiece!

  • calm down.

  • i hear this song in hella movies....

  • KJH...LOL...too funny

  • just awsome

  • I always thought this was the most soulful scream in rock music at 3:31....

  • It just goes to show you that White guys can sing soul too.

  • @ChristianPainter Try to tell that to the Black Community. To hear some of them tell it... white people stole their music. Everyone from Elvis to Joe Cocker. But it's okay that Ray Charles made millions in the 1960's covering "White" Country and Western Music. (Not that I don't like Ray Charles) but its always that double standard B.S.

  • @ChristianPainter Joe Cocker doesn't sound like a nigger.

  • Joe Cocker Hall and Oates Doobie Brothers Steve Winwood The Police Chicago Three Dog Night Tears For Fears CCR Christopher Cross Bob Seger Men at Work Robbie Robertson I don't mean to sound racist or ignorant but when I was younger and less informed I used to think all these guys were black. o_o
  • @ChristianPainter Thats a great story.Seen joe twice,what a great voice.

  • @ChristianPainter Hmm..might have been something to do with the great theft of black culture, but in all fairness musicians have always been a rather interracial bunch so i guess the progression was natural.. dunno..

  • @FreeClassicFlix Culture has always been developing all throughotu human history. If something is desirable then someone will use it. It's not as if one group "owns" a culture forever. Western culture comes from "Greek and Roman" roots supposedly, but now look how many cultures have been affected. I just saying that culture is always a 2-way street. Black culture did create Rock n Roll but they used European musical scales and forms. They were NOT using these in Africa.

  • @ChristianPainter Wait, so you're trying to tell me Joe Cocker is white!?!? and all this time..

  • @ChristianPainter That's not racist or ignorant. Most of those artists were directly imitating Black music and Black artists that they loved.

  • @ChristianPainter Yea man. They're white. All the better for us.

  • @ChristianPainter hahaha exactly what i thought until i saw a video of him..... i was like WHOA

  • pain is the game...

  • einfach wahnsinn

  • I feel alright

  • Joe Cocker is the man!
