just viewed footage of the oil rig being destroyed. i think it seems that perhaps clover is on the left hand side of the oil rig, and possibly another creature on the right hand side. i say this as it seems something to the right of the rig swims away to the right hand side as the rig falls while on the left something sticks out of the water. when the 'debris' flies through the air i can't help but think it is rather the open jaws of clover coming from the left which land on the people - watch!

it was not a freakin satalite it was a way to transport the secret ingredient from slusho tagarouto's drink that comes from beneath the water in the website it says that the secret ingredient can make any small thing extremely big so thats the cloverfield monster an extremly overgrown parasite that was found under water and came into contact with the ingredient from the satelite its stupid but so was the ending

Ive seen the movie, but has anyone really suggested that theres more than one? The monster in the movie, last i checked, doesnt have anything that can really shoot rubble out of the water at such a great speed and force.'

My estimation is that there is more than one, and we've only seen the female looking for new breeding ground(hence the smaller ones).

The oil company owns Slusho, the Japanese company that Rob was going to work for. Slusho gets it secret ingredient from the bottom of the ocean. The oil rig was probably getting the secret ingredient. While doing so, they disturb the monster living in the depths of the sea.
