  • Is that you climbing down at 0:13 to 0:29?

These caves look like they were formed by a process called "piping", a very common phenomenon in badland areas like this one in Anza-Borrego. After climbing down from above did you then exit out at the bottom of a slope somewhere walking horizontally? If so, this is definitely a piping structure.

Love the bats and the red blossoms on the ocotillo at the end.

  • Thats my Cousin doing the spelunking.

We entered at the base of a cliff and gradually worked our way up to the point you see.

We visited three caves this trip. there are supposed to be twenty two caves in the Arroyo Tapiado canyon.

  • At the bottom of the cave did you walk out horizontally? That's what it looks like in the video.

  • The part where we were walking horizontally was in narrow portion of the third cave we explored. that cave gave me a little clostrophobia.....

  • thanks... looks like a new place to visit

  • great pix... did you have to 4 wheel to get to this place?

  • The Road is sand but it's pretty smooth.
