This pool is by vikingpools -dot- net, but you need to find a reputable, local dealer for ordering and installation - this is (obviously) NOT a do-it-yourself project! ;-)
We are installing our Viking pool. We got an incredible deal on a pool that has been sitting in the yard for a few years.
Ground movement does not cause cracking, and they are good for every type of ground condition. We have puff dirt around us and a gunite pool would be a horrible choice as cracking would be inevidable.
Long careful consideration was taken into account when making the Viking decision.
thats good your enjoying your Viking pool they are great pools, I use to install over 50Viking/CPC a year untill they started making there pools even more thinner starting last year, alot of dealers like myself are leaving Viking and going to other manufactures because this reason, the thinner and lighter the pool the more chances the pool will crack overtime.. Good luck and you should post a video of the pool after concrete.
Ah! Well, this pool was installed a little over 2 years ago (as you can see from the date on the video), and we love it. We're still getting grass to grow around it (dry the past 2 summers), and we still need to do a pool house. We've had some nice cabanas, but when the wind comes through, the cabanas decide they can fly - not good! LOL
I'll try and do a new video maybe this Saturday (30Aug08) if the weather is nice. Thanks for the input!
Lifetime guarantee, paired with excellent workmanship and careful installation, you nitwit. So, tell me, have YOU ever installed one of these? Have YOU done any research on these pools? Have you ever had ANY experience with these pools, besides my videos? Your negativism is astonishing. Why don't you say something more rational, like "I prefer concrete pools because 'x'" or something similarly more constructive?
ground movement? fiberglass pools move with all ground movement.. Ive been installing fiberglass pools for many years.. I will agree with you pulling out pools cause of poor installs but not ground movement.
billo, you haven't SEEN the finished product. We're still working on getting grass around the area, and figuring out what we want to do for a pool house, but the finished product is GORGEOUS! It's also almost maintenance-free. So don't call another person's pride-and-joy, which has already given MUCH satisfaction, a "piece of junk."
We've HAD vinyl before, and found that it wasn't durable enough. Concrete was too had on feet (we tend to spend hours and hours in the pool), and the Viking Pool models had the best quality/durability/guarantees. We love our pool, and it's too bad that you two don't. Good thing your not neighbors - your envy would be turning you green!
maybe we dont agree becaus we have experience in the feild. i also have building pools for 25 years and just have seen too many problems with these pools. hope ur not one these! NOW, get off the damn computer and get in the pool ! enjoy ;)
