  • @izzy34000 this is not about the Band .. Its All about JESUS CHRIST

  • i love this song!

  • Wait...Hillsong United was in Houston, TX in 08??!!

  • who was speaking in there??

  • Not to be rude or anything but you can barely hear the people singing, but I still love this song!!

  • i dont wanna be hating or anything but dont u think u should be praising God instead of taping??

  • @TheAsiantofu I can't speek on behalf of the recorder, but praising God doesn't always take place with music, or at a Worship event. Praising God can take many forms. Recording this event can in fact be a humble act of praise and worship.

  • horrible video

  • Hey guys we're an up and coming worship band in Houston, Texas. check out our page and listen to the music. And anyone in our area who needs us for an event shoot us a message! God bless!

  • We as simple creation to wonderful hand of God can never understand the greatness of his Love all i can say to that wonderful all powerful all knoxing God who gave it all to me is THANK YOU!!! for coming into my life a unworthy, sinful, flesh bond human But by your loving blood i am free and saved and have the great blessing to just come to your presance and Just say I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hillsong<3

  • Truly we will be changed more and more as we appreciate God and what He has done for us on the Cross each day.

  • i love it when you see this many Christians all together worshipping the Lord, and then you realise that it is just a tiny percentage of the Christians in the world and that I am not by any means alone in my faith

  • Chills just by watching

  • At church today, we sang this song at the end, and I could just feel God's presence and his love entering me during the title part of the song, and how much I've sinned, and how he can easily forgive me for all of my sins, God bless!

  • @567hurricane Amen! He loves us so very much! It's His love that covers all of our sins and shame! Thank God for His Love! I love Him so much! My sin has been washed away! Hallelujah! "I don't have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way that He loves us! Oh HOw He Loves us! Oh how He loves us! Oh how He loves!"

  • why does everyone copy john mark mcmillan its so lame

  • @drumsallout It's not about copying th author of the song. The truth of it all is that the song's lyrics are meaningful to alot of people (which i'm sure is an honor for McMillan) When you write a song and it's that worshipful, it has a tendency to be infectious. It's not about whether McMillan wrote it and whether somone copied him. It's about the glory that God gets from this beautiful song.

  • They way they do this song seems to be missing something ???

  • @tkfanz the slide part?

  • I just went to the steubenville conference in Arizona and this song spoke to me so much! I almost started crying and I haven't been able to do that in years! best weekend ever!!! also my first time out of state and i wouldn't have wanted that to be anywhere else!

  • @Olette1213 God bless u and cleanses u

  • Comment removed

  • Are you sure this is Hillsong and not Jesus Culture?

  • @EnDiHjobi Yeah, that's Joel Houston that walks up and stands by the drums, as well as, Jad on guitar.

  • Praise be all to God almighty for His unfailing love, Im touched with these people giving comments. You guys are right, If his grace is an ocean we're all sinking. Try to check out "you're worth it all" too it's soo good. I love you Jesus.

  • drummer needs some help.

  • this is my favorite song thats y people go through wat they do becuz they dont realize how much god loves them i just love him so much hes always there for me

  • a group did this song at fine arts. but the drummer was going insane. i couldn't focus in worship because of him though i loved it i couldn't focus.

  • Therefore the lack of prayer, intercession and the word of God in our lives, that s what equals a mediocre, emotional worship life. The only thing that will stand against the persecution is the true, uncompromised word of the Gospel. People that have the mindset of the Kingdom of heaven will stand. Anyone can fall into emotionalism, just like anyone can fall into legalism or religion.

  • I hear you, but understand this: emotionalism can happen in this song or amazing grace. Emotionalism comes from a lack of substance (the word of God) in your life, a lack of a true relationship with God the Father. It doesn't matter the song. It can't be the right song to sing, led by the Holy Spirit to sing it, but if a person isn't in tune with the spirit of God, that person will be run by emotion.

  • @maimas88 This is very true. But amazing grace is actually theologically and doctrinally sound. It speaks the truth in depth and measure. It is well as many other hymns, songs, and spiritual songs are wells of life-giving truth to the believer. How much more the Biblical Psalms.

This song teaches nothing doctrinally sound outside of teaching the most vague and meaningless platitude that 'he loves us oh yeah he loves us he loves us oh he loves us".

    =/

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran Oh dude. Come on. Vague and meaningless??

    Its a song, not a sermon... :P

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran Actually I would be more critical about what's in the sermon or message thats given. Most times when I sit there listening "Hmmm Aaaii don't know...." is when the teaching is sloppy theologically.

I think you should chill it with friend maimas88 - you got some pretty harsh words there. : /

  • @blularkspur Hey, I agree with you about the sermon. But the untheological, even, anti-theological meaningless drivel that passes for 'worship music' these days is no less bound to the call of being scriptural and God-honouring than the sermon.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran The fact that God loves us is a theological truth. Do you know how many people don't really know that? That is the first thing people need to know, it's because of the love of Yeshua (Jesus) that He gave His life.

  • Any single hymn or Psalm Praises God and involves deeper theology than a dozen of these modern spineless evangelical pop-songs sadly called 'worship'.

It matters not, what style or manner the song is sung.

It matters what is being said.

Who is the emphasis of the song?

What does it say about God?

Is it a quality piece deserving of use?

    Does it reflect God's glory?

Any of the hymns or or Psalms that praise God's love testify to this:

If theology were an ocean, this song is a kiddy-pool.

  • In one perspective this song could be about me, me, me until you stop to realize who we are. And what a truly wonderful and awesome God He must be to love people like us! As I sing "oh, how He loves us....." I am filled with love for Him! Realizing how merciful and gracious He is brings humility to my heart and tears to my eyes. Baruch Hashem!!!!!

  • @10L5 It would be nice if it mentioned that... other than the vague, poorly worded, and broken sentence: "When all of a sudden,

I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,"

That sentence does not even make grammatical sense.

Come-on. Come-on. Let us actually worship God with our mind, heart, soul, spirit, and body.

Let us stop with this spineless Christianity and reach back to the scriptures as our ancestors did.

"Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved... a WRETCH like ME."

  • If theology were an ocean, this song is a kiddy-pool.

  • Ilike the way she sings it its a poweful song GB!

  • Hillsong United is great, but honestly I think David Crowder sings this the best. Anyway good song :D

  • Love this song and the comments touched my heart.

  • Hillsong23

You have just the sort of heart your father loves. You CAN take it! You are very strong in the Lord, He makes us stronger than most people in the world, we just don't see it. Don't give on Him whatever happens.

  • @hillsong23 hey we all do something bad but the differnce is we know that it is bad and we get back up on our feet and try harder. we are all kid like in this way, u think ur elders would get mad when u were learning how to walk...no. we as followers of christ r leaning how to walk. hope this helped

  • @hillsong23 just receive God's Love! In His Love there is forgiveness, hope, and restoration! God's Love says I know you're going to make mistakes, but I love you so much that I made the way so you could free from those mistakes and the guilt and shame. "I don't have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way that He loves us, Oh how He loves us! Oh how He loves us! Oh how He loves!" He loves you!

  • @hillsong23 we are both...

  • @hillsong23 don't get discouraged I used to feel the same way. Just no that God will always love you. Even when you mess up. Hebrews says we have a high priest who understands our afflictions. If you need someone to chat with hit me up. Blessings.

  • @tehillah7forchrist Ah man your comment really inspired me brother, i mean that. Thats pure love for souls right there buddy keep pressing on :) God bless <3

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. <3 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

  • @DopeCoozie2 Thank you! and God bless you as well. p.s. I'm a sister not a brother. lol :D

  • Thank you for that comment. I've been struggling with me feeling "away" from God. He was there all along, It's all in his plan.

  • @hillsong23 i agree with the guy below. Really listen to those lyrics & take hold of it "oh how he loves us!". & we are not perfect! we are human after all! but by when Jesus died on the cross he bridged the gap that sin had caused. which means that even if we mess up we just need to turn to Jesus, seeking him & his forgiveness and we will be released from ourselves!& as we seek him we are changed more & more because as our hearts become set on him- we cant help but be changed by love & grace.

  • @hillsong23 in our darkest hour... even in our brokenness... we rest in the arms of a loving God... blessings to you friend.

  • There sure did. So far I think David Crowder* Band did the best cover as far as studio recordings go. Jesus Culture's recording on the album "We Cry Out" however, is quite epic.

  • I suppose so. I have no idea though.

  • omg i love this song i here it at church and it awsome THOUSE OF U HOW DO LOVE THE LORD U NEED TO HE IS SO AWSOME

  • That is some awesome clarity. What kind of camera?

  • Awesome vid!!!! Breath taking music. His loves endures forever..... Wow!!!!!

  • who's the girl singing?

  • Her name is Annie Garratt :)

She's one of the female vocalists of United. She's awesome!

  • no matter who covers this song i love it, but i really really love Flyleaf's cover.

  • I didn't know Flyleaf did a cover of this song!!!!!

  • love the song..... but metal version of it would be killer!!! :)

  • I have played a metal version of this once or a hard rock version. is so much more fun when you use double bass on this song

  • Becoming the Archetype would NAIL it :)

  • @browilliams oh yeah! or as i lay dying :D

  • hillsong should include this to their album!

  • Everyone should :)

David Crowder has it his new album, Church Music

  • i am with u

  • It's by John David McMillan.

  • John Mark McMillan

  • that song is from jesus culture?

  • Yes, this is a song of worship to Jesus Christ , our Lord and Savior who loves us SO MUCH that he gave his life for us and rose again just to be with us in heaven. The chorus to this song is "Yea He loves us, oh how He loves us, oh how He loves" simply marveling at the thought of how much He [God - Jesus] loves us.

  • wow you can just tell how much God's presence is there! awesome!

  • God's always everywhere, when we realize it, is when it's absolutely amazing.

  • Dope.

  • wow.... the drums are killer! super powerful voice from annie and super powerful drumming by brandon!

  • it's just beautiful to see so many people in the same spirit giving glory and praise to The Lord..... gives me chllls just to see how all those people raise their hands.... wishI were there :)

  • love this song...amazing.

  • Amazing, I love this song no matter who sings it. People tend to forget that the people who write songs are just instruments used by God. It's not about the person. Thats like saying I like the book of Matthew better than Luke or John. It doesn't make sense, the disciples were instruments used by God just like the music ministers we have today, hillsong, Kim walker, israel, etc...I pray that God blesses all of them for following the call that was put upon their lives. Again, I LOVE this song.

  • @maimas88 how can you like a song that makes it sound like Jesus is our boyfriend, and has absolutely no depth of truth or theological meaning whatsoever?

You compare this song with any of the hymns f the Church, or even many modern hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs, 'How He loves' loses, no contest.

This song is barely above meaningless.

Nothing like its ilk exists anywhere in scripture.

  • Comment removed

  • @FromTheAshes7 it is not abstract.

    He is jealous for ME!

Loves [me] like a Hurricane, I (again, ME) am a tree bending beneath the weight of His love and mercy.

All of a sudden I (ME again) am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory.

And I (ME again) realise just how beautiful You are,

And how great Your affections are for ME.

Oh how He loves US.... US... US...US... US.... US...US...US.

This song is not about God. This song is about ME!! ME ME ME ME!

Relate to God? How? As our boyfriend?

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran I'm not going to argue with you. I don't get why people

go on worship videos & bash others for their views. Or why people start agruments

with others. It's pointless. It gives Christians a bad rep more than anything.

We can discern or get different views from music. It's fine. But keep the negativity to yourself.

If you don't agree with what everyone else is saying, please leave us alone. Seriously.

  • @FromTheAshes7 "I am not going to argue with you!" But I am going to accuse you of wrong.

I am purely concerned for the honour of God.

Songs like this are one sad step above 'the Holy Ghost Hokey Pokey' and 'you spin me right round Jesus right round'.

It is focused on the emotions of the singer, not how dignifying the song is of the God of the universe.

It says almost nothing of our sins.

It says almost nothing of our salvation.

    Save poorly worded vague references.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran Fair enough. I do agree with you. I'm not all for emotional

or prosperity gospel stuff. Not enough modern music focuses on what you've mentioned.

This used to be a favorite song of mine, and I still do like it. But contemporary music has been watered down a little too much.

  • @FromTheAshes7 I don't mind the style or the tune. Actually, I can rarely get it out of my head because of the catchiness of the tune.

We, as the Church, are veering dangerously close to losing all touch with scriptural foundation for our beliefs.

Much of the worship has become emotionalism, largely.

And so much preaching is now glorified self-help counseling.

If this song were a mere exception, I would not bother talking about it.

The problem is: It is merely an example.of an endemic issue.

  • @FromTheAshes7 one more thing: "God is jealous & wants nothing more than for us to seek a relationship with him & to fill our lives with Him, nothing else."

    Really? What about His wrath?

When He ordered the Israelites to butcher man, woman, and Child: The Caananites and the Amalakites. He wanted nothing more than for them to have a relationship with Him?

When He poured out His just wrath on all Humanity in the flood. He wanted nothing more than for them to have a relationship with Him?

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

You say that this song is just about ME ME ME, but you don't know how many people have been touched by this song, people have started serving God, people that have been restored because of broken homes, or abuse or whatever the case may be that they don't feel the love they should feel.

  • @maimas88 Your only defense of this song has been pure subjectivity.

It doesn't matter how many subjective stories you throw out there, it changes nothing. You can spiritualize and justify just about anything that way.

God uses sin to bring people to Him. God used the destruction of Jericho to bring His people into the land and Rahab into the blessed line of the Saviour.

The emphasis of this song is on the singer. That is the simple reality.

We should stop with these wishy-woshy pop songs.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

In the end, the best scriptually correct song is not gonna take you to heaven. A true, uncompromising relationship with God is whats gonna take you to heaven, believing in Jesus and obeying His commands is what is gonna take us to heaven, not preferance on what song we wanna worship to. It's all about expanding the Kingdom of God to the world, like Jesus and the Apostles did, with an uncompromising word. I still love this song, and yes you may ask how do i know if those ppl

  • @maimas88 again: your defense is pure subjective emotionalism.

My objection is to its content and its quality.

You have no way of knowing if any of those people will hold-fast to the end, or how many even understand the religion they are claiming to follow.

Furthermore, God uses what He will to do what He will. Not all His means are through things we should be happy to celebrate.

God brought the son of the leader of Hamas to Christ through Islamic radicalism. Hey! Lets go fund Hamas!

    Yeash.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

even know what religion they are claiming, i know because i was one of them and the rest are personal close friends of mine. That doesnt mean we are perfect, but i know that our love for God and for the things of God are stronger than the things of the world. We can sit here and go back and forth about this song until one of us gets the last word, but where is that gonna get us? nowhere. You can think what you want, but i know who I'm praying to throughout the day, I know

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

the God that i serve, the one and only true God. And this song reminds me of His love for me whenever I hear it. God Bless you, keep doing God's will for your life. But there is no point to argue about a song that talks about God's love for us, regardless of what you think. The same way people can get emotional with this song is the same way people can get emotional with Amazing Grace. You can take any song and if you dont have a true relationship with God, you'll be

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

You actually sound selfish with the comments that you have said about this song because it doesn't do anything for YOU, because YOU don't like it and because YOU don't think it's something that God would inspire a man to write. And you speak about the wrath of God, and the Israelites, but didn't Jesus come so we don't have to sacrifice lambs anymore, so we are not bound by law?

  • @maimas88 au contraire, if I were purely concerned about myself, I would not bother to say anything.

As for the wrath of God. What do lambs have to do with it? Lambs never atoned for sins. They were a shadow, an image, a symbol of the reality that would come in Christ.

God intends on pouring His wrath out again on all humanity in final judgment, as scripture says. The statement that God "only wants to have a relationship with you" is the same unscriptural drivel that spawns songs like this.

  • be emotional and that will be all you get from it, emotion. What i seek is a true genuine touch of the Spirit when i worship God. Worship is very important to me, as is praying, fasting, interceding, evangelizing, etc...But honestly, it makes no sense to try to defend anything, i'm not trying to be right, i'm just telling you my experiences with this song because thats all i have, what i know and what i have seen with my eyes. Again, God Bless you, keep doing what your doing, just dont bash

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

people who are doing or are trying to do the will of God for their lives, thats not showing love. and i believe Jesus said in Mark 12:29-31 "Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God will all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and will all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as your

  • @maimas88 how dare you abuse the scriptures by using them against what I have said in this deceitful way. You have misquoted and miss-applied everything you have quoted.

Love hates evil but rejoices in the truth. Love is kind.

Love is an action not a touchy-feely emotion.

Jesus confronted the Pharisees by calling them pretty looking tombs with rotted bones inside. That was loving.

Furthermore, I have never made this about the author. It isn't about the author. It is about lyrical content.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

ok, God bless you. I still love this song

  • @maimas88 do so if you will. But realize this: The weak willed mushy emotionalism driven Christianity that sad songs like this promulgates could never stand against persecution.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran @maimas88 This is good -we need to talk about this - but in the right tone - its not worth belittling others for the sake of being right.

Its true that He loves us lavishly, He calls us His bride - it is romanticism bt doesnt mean we water it down to a touchy feely thing - but understand that love is offensively, recklessly, sacrificial and jealous love.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran @maimas88 At the same time, we shuldnt be wallowing in this romance bcz we have a task. Marriage is missional.A wife is not just to love her husband but to serve him, know his interests. Church cant escape from reality of a broken world in need of redemption. We worship fiercely, but when we go out the worship outside should be just as fierce in our communities. Thats why we run to the Scriptures on what he requires - a holy life, loving God.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran @maimas88 If we worry the church is swaying in d wrong direction, just disapproving can really do little to steer ppl back - instead commit to disciple and teach in love.

You cannot separate or choose truth from love. God is love, thats the truth. Truth is not a teaching, truth is a person. If you love truth, you love Jesus, and you would worship fiercely. This is a fierce song. It takes real strong faith to write this ridiculous song. Most CCM-type music is mediocre.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran @maimas88 But at the end, we shouldn't spend so much time picking out the weaknesses of each other's theology. Too many Christians do that and it never ends because we can never get it right in our limited wisdom. But we know what God requires from us the most, lets not waste time. Worship, worship, love, love, in Spirit, in Truth.

  • @blularkspur However, this mentality leads towards ignoring, and, even disdaining theology and theological issues. Which inevitably leads to rank heresy.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran It would - if that community of God's people is not strong and people are left to figure things out on their own, they would definitely come up with heretical practices.

I see the danger too, but what can I do from the sidelines (of hillsong or bethel, whtev) I trust that the church is accountable to God and will blow the whistle in love when things get weird. You can be concerned, but you have to figure out whats the best for YOU to do. Give it to God, or let it eat you.

  • @blularkspur Well, from my experience with Charismania, things get wierd... then wierder... and nobody blows any whistle because such a one would be a "heresy hunter" "quenching the spirit" and rejected.

If you try rebuking based on sound theology, you are accused of "not being open to the spirit" and having a bunch of "head-knowledge" and nothing "in the heart".,

Some of the above were quotations from my former pastor when I questioned the heretical theology in "the shack" and it's author.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran If that really happens, it would be sad, some ppl just miss the boat you know, but u mustn let yourself become an extremist because of another extremist. Its a trap.

I strongly dislike and disapprove many things in this Charismania realm, but I dont know what I should say - whether its dead wrong or whtev, but I know whats dead right, thats more important to me.

  • @blularkspur Hmmm. Well I am quite content with where I have ended up. And I love the Charismatics who I was in fellowship with for a long season.

    But, they were very wrong.

All the little things that have proved Word of Faithism and Charismania wrong have been ignored by them. Todd Bentley. Peter Popoff. All the other nonsense. All gets ignored by the vast majority who flock like lemmings to these people.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

Havent read the shack, heard good stuff abt it from ppl I trust though, but I'd have to find out myself. But if writer is on point, i could maybe excuse him/her a little bcoz that he's also stil figuring out his theology.

I like Don Miller though. :)

  • @blularkspur "It would - if that community of God's people is not strong and people are left to figure things out on their own, they would definitely come up with heretical practices."

huh? When we finally got religious nuts away from the controls, we were able to outlaw slavery, beating wives and children, and elevated women from being second class citizens. You know, sadistic things Christians upheld for centuries using bible quotes.

  • @TheHigherVoltage Thats because they were living 'religiously' rather than by faith; Knowing about Jesus & God as apossed to having a real relationship with him. they were quoting & living by the old testament. but Jesus clearly warns us not to be like the religious leaders or pharisees because their hearts are far from God. Read luke 18:9-14. Jesus came down to explain to us the message of grace & love. After all he ate and hungout with the "sinners", cause he came to heal the sick not the well

  • @hobbilybobbily don't get me wrong, I like the messages Jesus preached - but history reads as a non-stop abuse of religious authority, using religious texts as a props...and the gospels are no different.

And I have to question anyone claiming to "have a 'real' relationship with God". What is your definition of a 'real' relationship? For me, a REAL relationship is ongoing, clearly understood, 2 way communication. What is your definition?

  • @TheHigherVoltage : what relationship have you ever been in that was "clearly understood"? relationships are all about the journey to that, dealing with the fact that the other most likely cannot be clearly understood without having gone through the EXACT SAME experiences at the EXACT same times with the EXACT same people etc etc etc. And coming to the point in the relationship where u are able to acknowledge that u cant "understand" that person, but r willing 2 try to c things thru their eyes

  • @JaneElinor "what relationship have you ever been in that was "clearly understood"?"

Every relationship worth having. My family, my friends, my wife, my kids : all relationships clearly understood. Even my relationships with co-workers. Clearly understood.

Only relationships with fictional characters are "mysterious".

  • @TheHigherVoltage

lol ok. i wish you well with those "clearly understood" relationships

  • @JaneElinor are you saying you don't understand your relationships? Even with your parents? That's sad.

  • @JaneElinor sry cant humor such jabs. not in it for discussions/argument sakes. if you cant comprehend my initial statement id rather not waste your time or mine in petty words. all the best

  • @blularkspur Now this I can largely agree with. Amen.

  • @blularkspur But that is just the point. He calls the CHURCH His bride. It is a metaphorical relationship that reflects the reality. It is not a personal metaphor.

If we want a personal metaphor for who each of us are individually in the body, we are each a sheep. Stupid, smelly, hairy, sheep. Not as glamorous. We are corporately the flock. We are also compared to a body with Him as the head.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran Yeeah...but it doesnt have to be a dichotomy... God's love is a sobering love, we love with our mind, but also with our hearts - at some point I HAVE to break out into song - even if im reduced with a stupid lovestruck grin on my face singing 'lalalala'. We need to get our heads right, we are definitely not an equal lover - "Love's like a hurricane, I am a tree".

I mean, we know how paradoxical it is. Theres no way we can figure it out properly.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran -self. There is no other commandments greater than these."

How in any way are you showing love to the author of this song by the comments you have made? and he is a christian, a brother in christ. This is why the Bride, the True church isnt ready, because there isnt any unity amongst the brethren. If you believe what you believe about this song, again, pray for the author of the song, but dont be a stumbling block to christians that may be baby christians who like this song

  • @maimas88 if I had written (and I have) things that are unBiblical, or psuedo-Biblical, or Sub-Biblical. I should be confronted. My writings should be refuted.

How dare you deny the importance of truth in the name of 'love'.

    Love rejoices in the truth.

What you call 'love' is not love.

Love is acting in the best interest of another. I am acting in the best interest of the Church and the Gospel. Two things this song does not promote.

It promotes the image of 'Jesus Romanticism'. Unbiblical.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

that see the comments that you have left here on this video. Be a blessing to your fellow christians. God Bless you and i pray that you will start to pray for the author instead of leaving unnecessary comments. God bless brother

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

If you are interested, search How He Loves - John Mark McMillan and look for the video thats 9:59. Its the testimony of this song. God Bless

  • @maimas88 I was already familiar with the story behind the song long before posting.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

Gods mercy is Him not giving us what we deserve (hell and damnation) and His grace is giving us what we don't deserve (Jesus's sacrifice). But all I know is that before God is wrath (I'm not denying His wrath) or anything else for that matter, He is love. And regardless of how you feel about this song, you are still my brother in Christ, and I love you too. Just remember WWJD.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

I can't speak for Jesus, but I don't think Jesus would deliberately bash someone for writing a worship song, a love song about God. And I'm done, I've spent too much time on this, :-). I would rather speak to the lost about the love of God than argue about preferance on worship songs, God bless you atlantis

  • @maimas88 This song is not inspired scripture. It is a poorly written, low quality selfish droning celebration of... me.

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

I'm not trying to get you to become of fan of this song, I could care less what song you like or don't like, cuz in the end "How He Loves", "Amazing Grace", singing whatever scriputual song is not gonna save you. A relationship with God and Jesus Christ is what's gonna save you. I'm just going based on what I've seen happen when this song has been sung at my

    church

  • @AtlantiansAnAlteran

I've seen young people crying their hearts out on the altar in repentance while this song is being sung. The Holy Spirit has moved the hearts of many people in my church to repentance, restoration, etc...Who are we to limit God? If He used a donkey to speak to a man, why can't He use this song that YOU are calling mediocre?

  • its crazy, of all these worship songs, ive never seen so much made up over THIS song...as far as comments not liking something about it or whatever. what's the difference between covering this song and covering a Hymn? it's all for God...He obviously put it on the hearts of these artists to want to play these songs. I'm sure John Mark McMillan isn't bitter, I'm sure he's honored.

  • yes. It doesn't matter who wrote it. It matters, that God is being gorified. That his love is getting across o people.

  • a massive amen to this!

  • The truth is, i'm very positive in saying that these artists who play each others songs are not playing them to steal them or promote their own group or organization. It's sad to see you guys write these things that our so judgmental. I've heard Chris Tomlin say before that he is honored and he gives praise to God for his song "How Great Is Our God" because it has spread throughout the church all over the world. These artists don't worry about who plays their song. They care about Jesus and love
