There was a game called "Ardy Lightfoot" also for SNES that also has a level with mine cart riding. It came out a year before Donkey Kong Country. I wonder if they got the idea from that game.
I remember getting this VHS in the mail and being so excited about DKC coming out. The hype wasn't undeserved either; it's a great platformer that stood out in its time, and was good enough to compare favorably to Super Mario World.
the donkey kong country trilogy are my favourite games ever. Ever since im 5 im playin them, now im 18 and im still playing! Cant get tired of these amazing games :D
Wtf? That guy said "Reserve it before it comes out November 21", and then at the end it says "November 18." They can't even get the release date right in that stupid video.
They gave this video out in the UK too but for some reason it didnt come with the Nintendo Magazine System (UK version of Nintendo Power) instead it came with a football/soccer magazine.

That's right. Killer Instinct. He walked into this room at the end and all the guys playing were yelling at him to get out of the room...it was private. And then the N64 was born not long after. All the great ideas belong to any game on the Nintendo, or so I see it.

Also, there are scenes were he has like 200 bananas, so, maybe, the game needed a thousand bananas to give you a life, since this is beta...

I did too, helped get me hooked on the game and I got my parents to buy the game. Not to mention I played in the Blockbuster Championship.
Not to mention at the end of this video was Killer Instinct.
