Only at Disneyland. The tenders at WDW are too close to the fire box door. The only engine you would probably have a chance of riding if it was offered would be the Roy O. Disney since she has the largest cab, and has the firebox at a safe distance away from the tender.
I went on a sat just last week and had the same enginers. There all nice poeple. so most likely u can get a ride, unless the hafe to stop for water. lots of fun.
I didnt even know you could ride at the front, so you have to ask if you can sit with the engineers and if you lucky you can? and do most people know this? wow i should try that.
I did this too also in June 2007! 3 of them! All you have to do is ask the conductor at Main Street station and he'll ask the locomotives' crew. (as it is up to them wether or not they want tender riders)

C.K. Holliday is the BEST ENGINE OF ALL!!!! I rode the tender onC.K. Holliday and twice on E.P. Ripley. C.K. is better!!!

Just try it sometime, but make sure it's Main Street for a full run around the park, and only certain trains. Good luck :)

Also, you can only ride the tenders of engine 1, C.K. Holliday (in this vid), or engine 2, E.P. Ripley.
