  • from the standing splits, how to you center your gravity as you begin to rock your weight forward onto your hands. i.e., before you were actually able to hand balance, what muscles did you mentally focus, in what order, to finally hand balance. I have the flexibility, i just can't figure out in what order my muscles need to engage...handbalancing just seems impossible.

  • I have a friend who has a belly ring and does this and it doesn't bother her. It has taken years of practice to get to this level, having a bit of natural ability helps though.

  • I do gymnastics too and I cant even tell I have my belly ring in, just be careful = ).

  • years? it takes about 4-6mths u mean.... if u do it without taking gymnastics i think it takes a lot less time since u more determined like me :D self taught acrobatics is a lot better though i lack the flexibilty though nice :p

  • Morgan kicks bootay! Dude this was last summer, you should post more recent videos, you're better now! You should post a whole one of your routines. Like the one you did to the bjork song (that was for your audition for the babydolls wasn't it?). That one was really awesome.

  • haha, thanks phoebe! I am going to post a more recent clip as soon as I make one. I don't have any footage of a whole routine :( . Besides I made these clips with my camera and I only can only make 30 sec clips with that at the most. Cheap digital camera.

  • I am going to try and get a job or something like that soon to make money so that I can buy a decent digital camera, and then I would be more than happy to record some of your stuff. If you do a routine more than once I can get it from more than one angle and then make cuts from camera to camera when I edit the fotage, and I could make you a promo video eeeeee!!

  • Thank you! Its actually the other way around, I incorporate alot of dance into my contortion routines. I perform more regularly as a contortionist then I do as a dancer now.

  • I hope you'll continue to give us little glimpses into your contortion, whether they may be training/stretching clips or bits of performance video. How often do you perform?
