to mod in matchmaking you would have to invest so much time, the furthest i have gotten is booting, such as cheaters/glitchers. there are means of modding in matchmaking and people are already unfortunetly. i feel the same way that mods ruined halo 2, as long as it stays in custom games i think it is awsome but once its used for cheating i hope they get their ass banned

Yeah if they are modded forge files thats ok. you won't be able to mod in halo 3 matchmaking ever, you would only be able to do it on the DLC maps saved to your hard drive. and modded content is being auto detected.

you can opperate under your own server though and bungie and microsoft wouldnt detect a thing, this would again cause you to invest alot of time, trust me my friend is already albe to mod in matchmaking. Hes done it 4 times but only has 14 ranked games so he doesnt use it to his advantage.

I think the game is good enough as it is, but that's just my opinion. I haven't got anything wrong with mods i just prefer my game without them. Did you know that there's a modded version of Last Resort that ended up on Bungie Favourites? It's quite cool. You can't mod it yourself though.

It would be impossible to get any modded content working online. The reason for this is because Microsoft has a system in place that scans your 360's BIOS for info like the validity of the disc, your power usage, and which version of the BIOS you are using. Pretty much, if you try to get online with any modded content, the furthest you would get is the menu screen, and that's if your internet is complete shit.
