  • Joan Jett gets hotter everytime I see her :)

  • Damn if this is 17 what happens when shes 18

  • Joan Jett is female, check youtube for her old videos and such.

  • I'm soososososos excited to see it next week! I'm dressing as Shilo! (:

  • is it on DVD????

  • January 20th

  • it comes out on DVD this month. i think it's the 20th...i'm not sure though...20th just sticks out in my mind for some reason

  • oh someone already answered you. lol sorry..ugh i hate how youtube comments screws up showing comments

  • I love this song! I'm about to be 17, too. Maybe I should make it my theme, lol.

  • This song is my favorite!!!!!!!! Thank you for posting it!!!

  • is that Joan Jett playing the guitar?

  • Yes.

  • im confussed is joAn jett a girl or guy because if guy hes hott but if girl then i feel like an idiot

  • Joan Jett is a girl...I don't really understand how it could be confusing, I mean I know the video is dark and that she has short hair but 1. she's wearing sparkly make up 2. she's wearing made for female clothes and 3. she has a real feminine face. the last time I've ever seen a straight man go that far into the feminine scene was in Twisted Sister times. No one really does it anymore, unless they're a tranny.

  • great song, really is

    Repo is just fucking brilliant

  • Is this from the play or the movie?

  • From the movie

  • Ok thanks. Lighting looked like it was on stage.

  • Did they have to censor it? The last lyric is actually "Daddy's girls's a fucking monster!"

  • yeah. It was muffled in the movie, so I came on to see. . . . it sounded like "Daddy's girls a fud monster"

  • more like daddy's girl's a fud-ster

  • Avril Lavigne LOL The best part is when she got slapped hahahaha

  • um its not Avril Lavigne, its Alexa Vega.

  • i remember going THANK YOU when she got slapped. got a good laugh from the theater though. least its a catchy song. bit good charolottey but think about it. shes some sheltered girl music like this is probably her idea of punk.

  • Heh, I love this! Go Shiloh! XD

  • 1:41 - lol. now thats how you handle a rebellious daughter, SMACK!!!

  • she can sing!

  • This song... in my opinion... has no business being in a post-apocalyptic goth-style opera. I'm sorry, but no. Right around the cameo the style got better, but for god's sake... it's like playing Simple Plan in the middle of a Marilyn Manson concert.

  • i tought exactly the same

  • I disagree. Think about Shilo's character. I can't think of a better musical style to showcase her rebellious spirit than punk rock. She's young, inexperienced, and simply wants to tell her father off. I went through the whole punk rock rebel phase when I was sixteen, seventeen too (and had an eerily similar punk-rock-concert-in-my-bedroom daydream too.) I thought it was wholly appropriate. Random, sure, but this entire movie is random.

  • If it were actual punk I would think it were better, but it sounds too much like something Good Charlotte would put on the radio. That's just my opinion.

  • aquaorbis, you obviously dont know what punk is. your saying this is rebellious, bla bla bla. this is rebellious music for a 6 year old. its not punk. what are you on?

  • I agree, it sounded exactly like something a sheltered 17-year-old would like, and it was just perfect for expressing the ridiculousness and futility of teenage rebellion.

  • This song... so Random

  • Saw the film last night in Philly. I was so into it... until this number... it just felt so out of place. But I creamed my pants over the Joan Jett cameo. And when he slapped her, the whole audience CRACKED UP and APPLAUDED.

  • i love joan jett

  • damn good for him for totally bitching her at the end, i mean wtf? u cant just say (sing) that shit to ur dad, no matter how f-ed up the world is lmao

  • God I love how patient he is with this nonsense.

  • This song just comes out of nowhere in the movie your just sitting there in total awe and then... this happens and your just like... lulz

  • Ha ha, your comment made me lulz. Good one

  • Meh. I get why it sounds like this, but I still don't like it lol. I've yet to see the whole movie, so I won't judge it by the few songs that I've heard.

  • hey lou who should he of casted for the part of shiloh, miley freakin cyrus. whose her characters age right now in hollywood barley anyone the fact what i had no clue she was from .spy kids or harispray she did a great job and she looks so pretty better than blonde. i also hate to say this but i didnt think paris did a bad job i think her line where the fuck is father was a weak part thou it made me cringe. but her chracter was someone to hate anyways and if youve seen this flim

  • is her immaturity of her character supposed to carry over to her voice? because honestly, her and paris hilton are the some of the saddest and weakest singers in what could of been a better musical. Its sad that this is being compared to m. rouge when m.r. decided to cast people on vocal ability and not to make a small cult classic more accessable because it has B List stars in it.

  • why on earth would this be compared to that piece of shit moulin rouge....at least this actually is a stage show!

  • I love it. I love it. Its amazing. Alexa is an amazing singer. I had no idea how good she could sing until I listened to the Repo! soundtrack. It kicks major ass. And I love the fact that Joan Jett is playing guitar/bass. \m/

  • those dolls dancing in the background crack me up

  • this song is very...sloppy. It sound way to amature

  • That's the point of this song.

  • It's called punk you fuckrag.

  • What's a fuckrag?

  • That's the point. XD It's suppoused to be immature to show how childish she is.

  • lol...it's called PUNK!

  • ahh i love this movie and it always makes me laugh when he slaps her : )

  • lol love the headbanging stuffed animals.

  • *true

  • This song probably would have made millions if it were just that- a song. But for some reason it just isn't the best in the musical. Bloody rocks, though

  • i wasnt expecting him to slap her at the end

  • Me neither, I had to play the last couple seconds to make sure I had seen it right.

  • damn shilo is pissed off in this song, i never knew they made a spunky, funny song in repo, i thought it was all grave rock, good song though

this is like the only song i havent heard

  • Is that Joan Jett on guitar??

  • Omfg YES IT IS!!! That is freaking awesome

  • I'M RICK JAMES!

  • So the whole movie consist of people breaking out into song, and people have a problem with this scene cause it breaks reality?

  • true, but this is like my favorite song from the movie along with at the opera tonight and zydrate anatomy

  • It's a fantasy sequence. Not a dream. More of a daydream. Just roll with it. *I* thought that it was easily the funniest song in the show (maybe second after Mark it Up).

Also, the slap was genius. I was waiting for Repo Man to "take over" for a second the entire movie.

  • nope just you

  • the guitar player reminds me of Joan Jett

  • it IS joan jett

  • Ahh I love how she got bitch slapped!

  • Hehe, best part of the song ^.^

  • omg, i laughed so hard when she got bitch slapped....i had no idea that was gonna happen....

  • well...i mean, i could tell that shilo's dad was getting very frustrated but i mean he could've scolded her instead of bitch-slapping her!!!

  • Of course he could've. He could also try being a real doctor instead of the repo-man XD. Besides, I think it was more saying that she was monster when he knew she had no idea what a real monster looked like.

  • trye

  • 0_o You can't slap Shilo. Shilo is too cool to be slapped.

Anyway, was she sort of dreaming in a way here? Like one of those fantasy things? Cos I'm sort of confused how they're suddenly at a rock concert, and in her bedroom. I'm sounding slightly obvious here, but still.

    Go Shilo!

  • And you're not the only one confused. I saw it last night and no, she's not dreaming. It was one of the worst songs in the movie.

  • was the movie good all around?

  • yes!

  • It's a musical.

Shit like that happens all the time in musicals.

    XD

  • rock-opera mind you :D

  • and she only wanted to know why blind mag was her godmother

  • Shilo's acting pretty well, considering the circumstances.

Doesn't really matter if it's "unncessary", it's such a kickarse song and an excellent break from the industrial opera type songs (which I do love, don't get me wrong). :) They style of the music reflects her age and it's just a pretty epic clip.

Too bad this movie is going to be hard to hunt down in australia :(

  • I think this song is really cool :) but also think it's unnecesary, though Alexa is really hot!

  • LOL, ASH slapped her. total win.

but... doth mine eyes deceive me? tis that joan jett??

  • It is Joan, fucking hot isn't she? i watch over and over just to see her part on this video

  • I'm also a little disturbed by that. Who would want to harm Alexa Vega? especially when she's dressed in hot goth fashion?

  • Am I the only one who's really disturbed by all the comments saying how hilarious/awesome it is to slap a girl? o_O

  • Well, in all fairness she was acting like a real b*tch. Quite inconcistent whit my impression of the character in general. And it was just one slap on the cheek, she wasn't really beaten or anything.

  • She has been locked up for seventeen years she's a teenager even the sweetest person can have this kind of reaction sometimes especially under those circumstances how is that acting like a real bitch?

  • Yeah, but they took it overboard. And anyway, when people work themselves into a frenzie like that, slapping them to get them out of it is often a sensible thing to do.

  • she actually irritates me more than paris hilton....

    thats scary now.....

  • For some reason she reminded me of Miley Cyrus... I guess that's why I laughed even harder when she got pimpslapped

  • wtf is this?

    it's sooo... noobish

  • What. Is she doing out of the kitchen.

  • yeah i got da same message 2 wen i was 17 =_= and 18 ....meh...

  • AHAHA!

For a moment there I was like "Ah this scene ruined it for me"

    But then she get's slapped.

    yeah...pretty funny.

  • AHH this video gives me such conflicting feelings lol

i feel bad for shilo cause she has been there for 17 years, but i also feel bad for nathan cause he is trying to be a good father but she doesnt understand that.

  • How is she supposed to understand that? She has no idea what the hell is going on, because he wouldn't tell her. Sometimes you have to tell the truth to the people you love, even if it's hard.

I'd be pissed, too, if I were her.

  • Oh yeah, beacuse she took it so well. Did you hear 'Let the Monster Rise'? I can see how he didn't want that to happen.

  • Fair enough. But she's been sheltered up until this point, locked away, then suddenly all this stuff is dumped on her at once.

    I'd go crazy, too.

  • True and understandable, but it wasn't Nathans fault it was all dumped on her at once. Actually, he was trying to do the exact opposite.

  • Fair enough. I just tend to side against authority figures. Even in the rare case when they are looking out for people.

  • Yay! JOAN! Proving she is not only hot, but a fab guitarist too. Good move getting her in this..seems to be the reason most of us are watching! Joan rocks!!! :)

  • I think the whole song has a sort of "The Runaways" vibe to it. Joan Jett is so awesome :)

I met her once. She was really nice.

  • YAY JOAN JETT! I KNEW IT XD

    Haha

and I love the slap at the end.

Especially when I heard this the first time... The dad did what I wanted to do >_>

  • ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!joan!!!!!!awesome!!joan is great!!!!thanks post it!do you have more about joan on this film?

  • Gotta love Joan Jett!!!! The woman has SERIOUS talent!!!!

  • They censored the ending to get a slap in?

    Rude.

  • I'm pretty sure the movie will not be censored like that.

    I hope not anyway

  • It won't be. Look at "Mark it up" and tell me this song will be censored. lol.

  • No... where she said "Daddy's girl's a monster" it used to say "Daddy's girl's a fucking monster."

    It'll be in the movie.

  • Joan Fuckin' Jett!!!

  • I love the stuffed animals.

  • this looks cool but i can't fully hear whats she's sayin!

Bastard! how dare he hit her!

  • JOAN JETT!! <33333

And for those who don't know this yet, YES! Joan Jett is a female! She's the lead singer of The Blackhearts and they made a cover for the song "I Love Rock n' Roll", go look it up! =D

And yes, that is also Alexa Vega who is doing Shilo's part for the movie! ^^

  • I thought Joan Jett was old..like hell was I wrong

  • She is, but she looks young. I don't think she's ever aged lol.

  • Cover? No no no no no. They DID I love Rock n' Roll.

  • I'm pretty sure they covered the song. The original song was performed by the band Arrows in 1975, or something like that, I'm not exactly sure of the date. Anywho, it doesn't matter cause both versions kick major ass xD

  • is that alexa vega i cant tell

  • 1.05 is that a boy or girl

  • im not sure

  • yes it is alexa vega and at 1:05 it is joan jett who is a girl

  • Worst song from an otherwise excellent movie. That slap was well deserved.

  • I think that's the point.

  • I love love love the little dance she does at :20 - :24

She makes me want to dance out all hard lol.. I can NOT wait to see this movie!!

  • Isn't she 14 in real life?

  • She's really 20 or something! lol!

    Nicole

    xxxxxx

  • alexa is 20!?

  • see my mom would've done MORE then slap me lmaoooo.

    CAN'T WAIT for this movie.

  • Holy shit! Joan Jett!

  • PIMP SLAPPED!!!!1ONE!ELEVEN!

  • what a slap!

  • She deserved to be slapped. And boy was that a slap!

  • Joan Jett us the shit!

i cant wait to see this!

  • That's what happens when you shelter your children...

  • well, was he so wrong to do it? I mean, she was gunna die, and the socity was more than a bit currupt- taking people's organs out without anesthetic!

  • Excellent point, 101177. I have to agree with you there...

  • but see what happened? she got loose.. hung out with a graverobber between a bunch of zydrate addicts...

  • haha aggreed

  • This movie is way too good to have such a small release, we need more people on the boards at repo-opera . com

  • ha it's been clipoped so you don't get the 2nd last word lol

    never mind

    it's still a brill song

  • I laugh every time at the end where he slaps here. CLASSIC.

This movie is going to rock.

  • Joan Jett FTW. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

  • i've seen this movie a few days ago on the german Fantasy Filmfest and i have to say its amazing! all the songs are great, its bloody, it has embowelments, all the actors are great, alexa vega is hella cute, even paris hilton is good! Sarah Brightman plays a supporting character. this is sure to be cultmovie once its released!

  • You are major lucky! I so want to see this in theatres. I'm praying for a world wide release.

  • I absolutely cannot wait for this movie! I think when it comes to songs like this, it may be difficult for the theatre patrons to stay in their seats, dancing may ensue :).

  • Kocham tą piosenkę!

  • Anthony Head AND Joan Jett in the same movie! YES! I am DYING to hear Tony Head sing again! I loved it when he sang in "Buffy"! I've heard that this movie is "Blade Runner" meets "Saw" meets "Rocky Horror Picture Show"! Cool.

  • If she didnt want to get smacked she shouldnt have sang in his face.

She so kind reminds me of columbia from rock horror picture show.

  • YAY!!! Anthony Stewart Head OMG I thought he looked familer. I love him

  • Saw it yesterday eve at a festival in Germany. Was overwhelmed. Joan Jett, yeah! Rock on! Couldn't believe P. Hilton played such a role. It's some piece of Art, deviant, but though.

  • I can't believe he hits her!

    :-(

    Poor Shilo.

  • XD I do it if my daughter did that haha

  • WTF is that Yoshiki from X-Japan

  • On guitar? No. That's Joan Jett. Yoshiki produced the movie though :3

  • OMG...I can't wait for this. I love Alexa Vega and this looks and sounds fucking awesome!

  • It's actually good :D Can't wait for this to come out.

  • Zydrate Antomy is better

  • They're both amazing, but I agree. :]

  • I can't feel nothing at all...

  • Why the fuck did they change it from 'Zytrate' to 'Zydrate'? What difference does it make?

  • I heard it was for legal reasons, apparently there was a real drug with a similar name or something. I just read it on a message board, though. I don't know if it's true.

  • message me if you want to sign the repo petition to get this movie widely released!

  • What the hell Joah Jett. Frick yes. I must see this movie it looks so amazing.

  • I thought that was Joan Jett on the guitar. Awesome. Just another reason to be psyched about this movie.

  • This song, Zydrate Antomy. are probably my favorite songs. I am a huge punk. And it has the rite drum beat and everything.

And "JadeCatqueen" Please don't ever compair a song like this. To that canadian pop slut Avril La-bullshit.

  • This is like, the only song I don't like that I've heard from this movie. It's too...Avrilish.

  • wait, that was joan jet? i thought that was an effeminate asian guitarist.
