Arma2 - Eurofighter ground attack

This is how NOT to do ground attack.. You did all the classic mistakes in the book!

Got seen before attacking, instead of only while attacking. Did a loop after overflying your target, exposing maximum area to potential ground air defense installations. Dived too early and began the run too low(exploit your missiles maximum range). Moved on parrallel to the target further increasing chance of hits on you, instead of veering right across low and obstructive terrain formation areas. Just saying ;)

Were you using alt+mouse to look around in the cockpit? Or were you using TrackIR or Face Track No IR? if using Face Track No IR, mind sending me your curves? I've messed around for a while, but couldn't get anything that smooth, of course my garbage CPU and webcam only give me 7 FPS of motion =X

@GOAE7777 I don't think they did unfortunatly, you can use wired Xbox 360 controllers with a PC.

@11kungfu11 the thumb stick controls the mouse, I have 3 POV switches which I normally bind to looking to the sides and up etc... I have a Saitek X52, google images it, you'll see how many buttons I play with xD

I just use key board and joystick for controls so technically I have more buttons;P hahaha i just have a cheap X-3d pro

I can hold alt and look around with my thumbstick for you.. not so easy:P

@11kungfu11 I think you can find one in good conditions for a hundred or so, but it's meant for more serious flight sims... ARMA doesn't even let you throttle control, it's just throttle up or down, no biggy...

@AWFKproductions comparing this to real-life cockpit footage, the cockpit doesn't look to far of. It's a pretty solid reproduction. If it were clickable with multiple mfd modes and a good and believeable flightmodel, that would be awesome.

@RyedaleAirsoft You might have sat in a cockpit of a eurofighter, but try being an RAF Reservist constantly being around these amazing strike aircraft i can say that so what... the colours might be off etc but looks pretty realistic to me!

@bleran11 I understand its hard to believe me when i say these things, but trust me, there is only one screen that is about the same size and shape as an ipad. I can't remember all the little switches and stuff, but can tell you it was VERY high tech but very simple and easy to operate compared to (for example) the tornado GR4 which is very old now.

@RyedaleAirsoft LMAO. Do a search on you tube for the Typhoon cockpit you'll see. its pretty close. It definately not perfect but it is pretty accurate.

PS I made this addon. I worked for Eurofighter/BAE and I spent a lot of time in the real aircraft and sims before making this model.

I was just looking through the old photos of us in the cockpit and like I said first, there is just one screen in the middle that looks like an iPad. But I just remembered that they told use they had removed the other two for reasons I have forgotten :( They were then reinstalled without anyone noticing and and the Sgt got a picture of him in the cockpit with all the screens in place!

So yeah, my bad :/

I'm a real RAF pilot and I can tell you now, ARMA's Typhoon cockpit and flight model is 100% Accurate. When I'm playing ARMA, I sometimes for get I'm playing a game and wonder if I'm actually at work with RAF. So please, you are not a professional like ME!

Just a few questions about the game.

The freighter plane in the beginning, was it piloted by AI or another actual player?

Or are you simply playing with AI?

If online, do player have to pilot freighters like thoose and other transporters etc. ?
