But I think the main objection is the use and treatment of elephants in circuses. I believe Ringling Brothers actually had a farm for retired circus elephants where they could live out their lives; but some circuses are smaller and not so generous to their animals. I have no tolerance at all for animal cruelty. .
Were you in Joplin when that Tornado hit? The entire city was torn apart the usual heavy equipment couldn't reach all the areas. The Elephants were at least able to help, and the people of Joplin are probably thankful the Elephants were there

2) Captivity WASTES millions of dollars on keeping a handful of species caged when that money would SAVE THOUSANDS of WILD species if it were donated to a protected national park in the third world.
I never doubted the elephants helped the people of Joplin tremendously.
I am only saying that the captives paid with their lives, their dignity and their freedom for that operation, which is unethical and inexcusable in a rich, technologically advanced country like America.
If the people of Joplin feel truly indebted to the elephants, they more than any other group, need to fight for the freedom of elephants from captivity.

@TacoBell5121 Apology accepted I was hit by a tornado 9/10/99 it is beyond difficult see I use to be so healthy I walked the streets of any city in this nation. Now pukes on the web only see a fat man they don't see the health person that was injured and is left with what I have to fill out my time left here. These people are going to have a tough time yes but they have many people to experience it with I did it all alone no one understood they just see a unemployed man never asking WHY.

@TacoBell5121 And you claiming that domes are big $ is another problem they don't use any more material than a stick built home in fact they use less their strength in in the application of the material. If people would just consider a dome home they would go with them it is insane what they are doing build weak structures then want to boss people around when their home has relocated 5 blocks away. Sure we need loans to build them they are major purchases but they are on par $ wise with stick

@TacoBell5121 They lost their loved ones in a tornado if they were in a car or caught out that is traic but if they died in a home that was constructed and they had the option to build a structure that could perserve their lives in the event of a tornado then I see it as darwinism. IF you think tents are fashionable then you are right but if you think tents are fashionable in a storm then you have never tried to sleep in a tent in a storm like me. I HAVE HAD MY BACK BROKEN BY A TORNADO I KNOW THEIR POWER SO I WANT THE DOME ! So don't lay the guilt trip on me I know what it is like to have your life altered by extreme weather but I lived am I better off?

I mean, exactly how does this hurt the elephants: did the elephants tell someone that this work is painful to them and that they feel exploited by it?
