Really nice piece and great playing; fairly unique.
However, relative to what he ended up playing (perhaps he intended something different and was "jamming" more than I think), I really don't think he needed the hair tie at all. He tapped anything too extreme, and the only time he came close it was past the nut :P

@abslamplight It's a hairband or similar. It mutes open strings; useful for the type of tapping he does.

@olipickrockgod actually daniele can also play smooth jazz and jazz blues as well as many melodic themes and ideas :) he is MUCH more than your average shredder MUCH more.
