'red run' couloir hadn't been filled in for years.

Ridge is a knife edged.

Wiki lists crazy/insane as...a danger to themselves...maybe true.

but, naive/unfair to think I was not aware of the dangers,

having already skied the North Face.

-snowpack, ski tracks to the right and a little feel upon first entry.

I had enough walking to do that day. Turns were pretty good:-)

What isn't apparent from this video, even holding laptop sideways, is a) how steep that slope is - much steeper than any black slope and b) that the steepest left hand side of the slope ends shortly off the shot in a massive cliff. If he falls, catches his skis, doesn't make the turn or if the snow gives way, he'd have no hope of stopping before the edge and would prob fall for about ten minutes. God I love Chamonix...

Crazy even walking down the ridge gets your attention, thats a 6,000ft near vertical drop were he just went off the edge off
