I think, and I'm just spitballing here, that what Kiera was hearing about it being a reminiscing song is a perfect reason for it to be a humorous song. Some of the best funny songs sound like they could have been love songs and thats one of the reasons they're so hilarious.
Also, a lot of people on YouTube have talent in writing nice songs but a precious few have the ability to weave a song that makes people laugh.
You're off to a good start because that's a catchy tune. I agree with Kiera about the type of song. When it started off it reminded me of a Kelly Clarkson song. I think I'll have to subscribe just so I can see how this song turns out.

I think this song needs to be one of reminiscing...maybe just good things in the past of a relationship--like one of those first love songs that are like, "We were together a long time ago and even though we're not any more I have no regrets. We had a good run." type of songs! That's what it sounds like to me.
ah, I remember a young, nervous scott sitting on the floor of the LVA cafeteria singing a song he wrote for valentines day...
I really like it. to me it sounds like a "we broke up and I'm better off without you" kind of song, but I'm sure anything you do with it would work
