I followed the border along the Danube river in March 1995. Unfortunately that was before I started filming everything so I have now nothing to show for it. It was a particularly interesting time because of the sanctions against Yugoslavia and the smuggling that was openly going on between Romania and that country.
Last time i crossed these borders by bus was back in 2001.I remember at that time being queues of trucks and some buses and cars waiting for controls and formalities,Back then,leaving Bulgaria and entering Romania was lasting about 2hrs.Now with pleasure i see that it lasts about 5 mins!
