how u gon massmarket darkness of such calibre in pseudo-christian america? sucks we live in a country that preaches individuality then stifles individual behavior
Hey! Cool one of the videos I Produced, Directed, Shot and Edited back in the late 80's early 90's. This was the second in a series of three. The first was Prong "Look Up At The Sun" featuring original Bass Player, Mike Kirkland. #2 Was this Cop Shot Cop video, "Shine on Elizabeth" and #3 Helmet, "Blacktop".
Really brings me back to pre-Starbucks, pre-Giuliani NYC, when I was in high school. Discovering them was like discovering gold in your back yard. Except covered with coal and broken tv tubes.
WOW! I havent heard this song in YEARS! I never had a copy of it but I saw them a bunch of times and shit would get crazy for this song. Just from that alone, I remember this one. Such an amazing band. I wish they got more credit than they did.
@ConspectuMortis : It's also a line in their song "Triumphal Theme" from the Headkick Facsimile EP. Todd yells "Cop shoot cop !" during the chorus. But I never could figure out the rest of the song...
Bud Dwyer's suicide video is on the tv. Thats crazy.
I dont understand how Cop Shoot Cop didnt take off. Maybe they just came to the scene too early. I listen to their music daily and it kills me when I think that theyll never make any more.
@FooledToaster Unfortunately, there isn't enough of an audience for them to have really taken off. Which is a pity. Too many people these days have no taste in music. And them days too.
I love this track. One of their best for sure. A Japanese friend of mine was kind enough to score me a vinly copy of Headkick Facsimile back in the day. :)
Better video quality and correct title on this amazing video for a great song. Very early C$C and some of their best. Thanks for posting, this is amazing.

So. . . . Official video? I swear I spotted Todd in it a few times, and the constant flashes of RETRO connect quite well to CSC.

So I dont get it.
Are they trying to make a political statement or something? With a name like Cop shoot Cop, i can only imagine.

@Galletin64 I think it's supposed to be what a junkie does; Cop (obtain) drugs, shoot drugs, cop again

@FooledToaster the labels all went SEATTLE-labels screwed Quicksand as well. In that time frame, if you were not from Seattle you did not exist
