It was in French because the versifier and composer (Korgialas, who also plays the electric guitar) is the son of Greek emigrants and spent most of his chidlhood in Belgium.

Eurovision is a joke I only watch because Terry Wogan does the talking (for the English Channel) and he is so blazé about it its quite funny .. but yeah all the voting for their neighbours etc .. yeah yeah BIG JOKE
