  • amazing. Spotted Gendin Rimpoche, Kalu Rimpoche and the 16th Karmapa.

  • A being cannot escape from himself....a mind cannot escape form itself....life is meant to be fully lived. Focus as these guys but in everyday activities, that´s the challenge.

  • Their eyes don't blink.

  • @anatureperson check out peter ceteras music video glory of love.. if you like people who dont blink. he only blinks abotu 3 times in the whole video.

  • Does anyone know, Is that Lopon Tenzin Namdak at 2:08? thx

  • I can not stay in a temple ages practicing Yoga for the welfare of all being; thats abusing the human body!!!

  • @celebratingfantasy yoga is one of the best things you can do for the human body.

  • @xTrappedUnderIcex I know that! don't get me wrong but not for years!!! there are so many things to do in this life for the welfare of all being.

  • @xTrappedUnderIcex : And sex of course?! You also meant to say that, yes?

  • Yeah, looks really productive...

  • @Tindar

To produce, to produce, always produce... to destruct would be a better word

  • This video is about meditation but not about yoga!!!

  • lmaoo at the huugh time frame of jus peoples faces. some ugly mo fo's

  • These Masters contribute more to the world than ever could be imagined.

  • Sometimes doing nothing is doing everything. If you can understand that statement then you are already on the path. If you believe that meditation only helps the meditator escape the world, you are so far off the path that you can't even be seen. They meditate in the cave for you, for me, for everyone. And because you believe they are doing nothing, they will meditate even harder for you.

  • Another 2-Girls-1-Cup Reaction Video..? oh come on..

  • Oh bloody hell some people are so thick I is so obvious that non of the critics have ever meditated and haven't got the foggiest idea of what they are doing, before you all start leaping to ridiculous conclusions, educate yourself. then have another look with an education and hopefully a more grown up attitude.

  • When they are in solitude why don't they harvest their own food? Why is it given through a hatch by someone else? Is that actually what happens or do they have their own crops? Thoreau didn't need anyone making his beans for him...

  • This is the look i give to ignorant comments 1:54

  • @mystictouch9 ahahaha a nice one :D

  • @ErnestRama lol glad u liked it

  • hahahhah wankers

  • tantric editation is accepting it all

  • I'm sorry,i may be too western oriented in my way of thinking, but i see this people like they deleted themselves from society. If you stay years in meditation ,then again and again you are ..like you are not.Observe my wise buddhist remark:)What good your life is here?If there are no people who work for this monks to feed them they'll die hungry.I think the people who actually deserve respect are those who feed this people with their hard work while this ones meditate and sleep all year.

  • @freedomofthinking You seem to have no understanding of what the Buddhists actually do. Do you really want a video of a bunch of farmers who probably meditate the same way? I hope you gain understanding.

  • @Vanlavak of course i don't ,because i'm stupid and you do because wou are smart.at least that's what you think...not me.seeking spirituality and accepting food from others in the name of buddha or anyone else Christ Allah whatever ,no difference i think is most unacceptable thing ,especiallly when the others are poor.Beeing wise for yourself it's worthless, only worth something if you share it with others.Buddha jesus ,and any great prophet if they didn't preached their knowledge =zero.

  • @freedomofthinking Your wrong again, preaching is not the only way to make this world brighter.

  • @Vanlavak Here i agree with you.Not preaching but DOING is the way ,you make this world brither. But the worse way is DOING NOTHING and MEDITATING!!!!Yes you are right! That makes you equal with a cell, with a non vertebrate.Only worst beacuse you consume food from people who work for it.Glad that finaly leaded yourself to the truth.Doing good is something.Doing wrong is the worst.Doing nothing is equal to nothing. You are not in this world to do nothing, unfortunately many think that they are

  • @freedomofthinking So dogging on these guys' beliefs somehow elevates you more above the status on a mammal? We are all just cells with a calculation machine calculating our actions to produce an outcome.

Now I tell you, be kind, be respectful, be humble.

  • @Vanlavak Read it again...doing good is something, doing nothing is nothing.I told you before. We are NOT here in this world to do nothing, and live on others back.Unfortunately i said it before many think that they are...

  • @freedomofthinking These guys are doing a hell of a lot more then you are considering that you're going on the internet preaching hate for anyone you deem "lesser".

  • @Vanlavak Yes this guys go into caves and do nothing for years. This is your "doing lot more".Fantastic!I'm very curious what is what they are doing when they are doing nothing.Don't hate me ,this is what the video is telling us.They DO NOTHING.Grow up man,and don't let others tell you different than what it's obvious.Use your own brain, don't be a sheep, folow your own believes and dare to judge, cause you seem to me that you're inteligent and know about cultures .Trust me i know too

  • @freedomofthinking they putted some of those guys in fuctional ressonance and found that their brain work very diferent from ordinary you are loking at professional onlympic atletes on stillness, positive emotion, and understanding of the subtle body, does that help you in some way? hope so... there are so many activities that are doing nothing... to actually do nothing is incredibly hard and demanding... just try and see yourself if you can drop your wories and sit on compation for 5 min.

  • @freedomofthinking You can easly take that point of view if yo beleve only what you see with yor eyes, and even then you dont beleve anything you dont want to believe even when you DO see it. Te video implies that these guys are working in the spiritul realm to bring about positive things n the world. I know atheists who hard work to destroy any belief that doesnt match their own, so its up to yo to acept that these guys could be doing something out of your norm of belif or if its something more

  • @freedomofthinking Exactly they seem no different than western homeless bums on the street who do drugs they look high...........They do meditation to escape this world, just as junkies do drugs to escape the world.

  • 5/5

  • Seems like such a waste of time, sitting for hours doing nothing.

  • @OysterLava and imagine the waste of time, when you are sleeping :-) half of your life! :D

  • Incredible. Whoever said Asians all look alike never saw this video, each face is so unique!

  • notice how they do not close their eyes completly ! this is to be aware of the inner and exterior at the same time

  • @oscie1 Thank you, I wondered a little why that was myself.

  • Thank you for posting the video. All the monks and lamas were great. And Dudjom Rinpoche was beyond belief.

  • @NeoZen888 Dudjom Rinpoche - wow, the embodiment of Dzogpachenpo

  • It's funny how often we are taught or told to keep eyes shut in meditation but the Tibetan Masters keep their eyes open, something I myself feel more comfortable doing as well.

  • The man at 1:54 looks like he just saw something horrible happen.

  • @cube11235 Veía lo que Zapatero iba hacer en España.

  • Kind of scary how all these "ascended masters" look so grim, like trauma victims... is that a statement of our world?

  • @DanDLyon101 They don't seem grim to me?

  • For a second I thought I saw gearge foreman there

  • I like how they ended it with pictures of Karmapa and Kalu Rinpoche! We are so lucky that now we have teachers all over the world teaching and guiding people to awaken. No more need to travel to Tibet, India, China. They're all here! If anyone is looking for a western teacher who is awake and helping others awaken you're welcome to check out mine if you look up "primordial alchemist". I studied with Tibetan teachers before I met him and he makes awakening possible in this wild west. blessings.

  • Highest Respect to these masters. Om Mani Padme Hum.

  • For the ones who want to watch the full version of the video, search for Arnaud Desjardins - Tantrism on youtube.

  • DALAI LAMA SHAME TO YOU. YOU KNOW VERY WELL HOW U ARE PURE CHINESE

    TIBET IS CHINESE

  • @unfukkkmee - Tibet has had a distinct and separate language, culture and border for 1,000 years before the Chin dynasty. That makes them being "Chinese" an impossibility. They are a separate race, a separate relgion, a separate music, a separate language from the Hans and Mongolians in China. There is no historical or anthropological evidence to support your position at all. The only thing Chinese about Tibet is the oppressive government installed there by the Chinese.

  • @Ryanshinobi no tibet is part of china from many many years all old books has tibet in china. where are u from

  • @unfukkkmee i have good idea ask the tibetians if thay are part of china or if thay want to be you will find the answer to be nooooo you cant force any one to join your family you must ask and in cummuimisam ideas you must ask the people if you think im wrong look at the books by karl marx and engles and lenin you will see the new china goverment have got it wrong its just a business orientated dictatorship were freedom to talk or say no is %100 not allowed it the truth i dare you to try ?

  • @Ryanshinobi Please allow me to remind you that there's ONLY ONE HUMAN RACE OR HUMANKIND, however, the very PRECISE, ACCURATE terminology is ETHNICITY. In my analysis, I would categorize, classify all of human beings into MAJOR/MACRO ETHNICITY(such as ARABS, AFRICANS, ASIAN, HISPANICS, CAUCASIANS etc.), and EACH of the MAJOR or MACRO ETHNICITY into MINOR or MICRO ETHNICITY. For example, ASIANs are a MAJOR ETHNICITY-all humans living on the continent of Asia are called Asians ,right?

  • @Ryanshinobi so ASIANS are a MAJOR ETHNICITY-which is all humans living on the continent of Asia, right? then we can further divide, classify ASIANS into MINOR ETHNICITIES such as Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, Thais, Laotians, Cambodians, Burmese, Filipinos, Indonesians, Malaysians. And for the SOUTHERN ASIANS-Indians, Pakistanis, Nepalese, Bangladeshis, Iranians, Iraquis, Afghanis, Sri Lankans, Tibetans etc. Do you agree this is a precise evaluation, assessment? Thanks for readind.

  • @reddavid214

dude Europe is on the same continent....

  • @x0955863233 hey man, Europe is considered a seperate continent by the Europeans who drew the maps. Their primary reason is culturally Europeans are so different from any of many different Asian ethnicities. That's why in elementary schools in most of the 200 plus countries in the world teach that there are 7 continents. 1) Anarctica 2)Africa 3)Asia 4)Australia 5)Europe 6)North America 7)South America.

  • @unfukkkmee im soo sorry but you are for sure been lied to by your chinese history techers its not your fault my friend but what the brother says is true tibet is a seperete place ask your self why the chinese goverment is spending so much money and is will to pay mainland chinese men and women to resetle there and why are the china goverment trying to tell mainlanders to go there and why have tibeten women be sterilised so thay cant have babes but chinese people are allowed to go to tibet

  • @wordlington stop propaganda ur chinese. is not funny dont play with china the tbet is not fashion is part of china

  • @unfukkkmee i not lie i have nothing to gain but if you are a rich chinamen then yes you have all to gain as your population get bigger and bigger you will need more land and more water so it easy and better for china to try to take tibet with force or by out breading the tibetians see movei brave hart the english did it to the scottish in the old days im all for intergration but in a more freedom way i think tibetian would love to be part of china if ther freedom was garanteed and able to live

  • @wordlington tibet is chinese open ur eyes

  • @unfukkkmee all u can expect from a pig is a grunt

  • @GhastlyMacNastly OK JACKIE CHAN

  • I'd like to know the name of the man who shows at 1:11. Does anyone have an answer?

  • @RagDoll2band he has probably forgotten his name...?

  • They say, that some drugs (like LSD) can show you the door, but it will never let you tghrough. That must be achieved by meditation. But first you must purify the body from the drugs. So it is better to simply start meditate and not take any drugs :-).

    KARMAPA CHENNO to all beings!

  • Meditation such as this is trying to couple with the luminous Mind or the same, pure Mind. What we don't see or realize is that our phenomenal world (inner and outer) is a configuration of pure Mind. To illustrate this better, using the analogy of a golden lion, the ordinary person (prithagjana) only sees the lion. The meditator, on the other hand, sees the gold, moreover he knows there is no real lion apart from the gold.

  • ThnXXX for sharing!

  • sehr wertvoll

  • drogen bewirken nur eine bewußtseinsverschiebung keine erweiterung. damit kann man sich die psyche kaput machen.

  • Precious images, precious visions... I thank you from the very deep of my heart for sharing this.

  • How do you know they're egoless?

  • what's rainbow body?

  • @OhhShnits if you go to cultureunplugged. com, type in mitchell gibson and click on the 2nd link, there is a video called "An Enlightened Man", fast foward the video to 30:11, he talks about the rainbow body. I recommend you watch the whole video though, it's so interesting and the experiences talked about are life changing.

  • @youmustbecool I cannot thank you enough for mentioning the Mitchel Gilbson interview in your comments. My advice, don't fast forward anyone, watch every minute of this!

  • @JoelClarkArtist It is my pleasure! Mitchell Gibson is an amazing person with a lot to offer to humanity. I looked at your page and your art is outstanding!! WOW :) Great job!

  • @youmustbecool Thanks for the complement! About Gibson though, do you really know anything about him? I was very taken by the manner of his delivery and the info and experiences he provides because they sync with much high metaphysical wisdom rarely known. However, on reflection a red flag went up when he talked about the "simple" farmer who had been taught the secret techniques which allowed him to transform into light at death. Such transformations are possible only by the highest initiates.

  • @JoelClarkArtist I know that he has very extensive credentials and I have met him and his wife and they seem extremely kind and genuine. My thoughts about the peasant farmer, Mitchell said that it is a very famous story from the area he talks about and it seems to me that the farmer helped a master and was then chosen by the master to learn the Dzogchen teachings. I assume the farmer became an initiate, practiced & cultivated the teachings for years until he became old and transformed himself

  • magnifique.

  • There is a similarity between meditation and taking drugs on only one point - that one's consciousness has a link to a certain kind of chemistry in the brain. But otherwise, they are dimensions apart. A person ordinarily takes a drug out of a kind of desire for escape from the problems of life, and the drug provides him with an experience which allows the mind manufacture hallucinations. Meditation sharpens one's alertness and deepens one's awareness. Out of that awareness there is liberation.

  • This reminds me of seeing the footage of Abbot Hai Teng of the Shaolin temple. Despite what might be felt about China the Venerable Abbot had the same profound gaze when sparring his sword wielding student. Nothing, nothing there, just a mind as open as an infants with the experience of a really old, experienced mountain man. Amazing, nice post.

  • @donworland There is definitely a need to move beyond seeing all those who live in China as being evil communists - the great majority are people who are oppressed by the ruling regime, and the rest are mostly brainwashed by the Party's dogmas. Some of the most enlightened people who have lived (or who yet live) come from that region, too... so yeah. Right on for seeing thru easy prejudices :)

  • @smoothgoomer i dont think all chinamen are bad or belive all the bullshit thay have been told i know thay can read so it almost sure some have found the truth and have chose to just not see aslong as thay and ther loved ones are ok and thay have money in the bank chinese are world famouse for minding there own business china goverment will only talk when thay have power now thay do thay will lie to all of us that wat powerful do LIE and the weak and poor die very sad but true

  • I think, instead of delving into topics that may take you so far beyond your intellectual understanding that you may not recover, perhaps you should take your young ass back up into the hills of Hee Haw Land and spend your time tuning your banjo and dusting off your meth lab. Leave the internet to those who have most of our teeth.

  • Joshuahaskellcarr, i see that not only are you full of "un-kindness," which, by the way, is not a word, but you like to use capital letters, commas, and other tidbits of language randomly and erroneously ( I know. You may have to look that one up).

  • Joshuahascellcarr, maybe if you spend more time not wasting your life making fun of people on Youtube, and idolizing your own perceived superiority to others, you may actually learn to spell simple English words, like "wasting" and "laziness." I'm pretty impressed that you didn't screw up "idolizing." That's usually a tough one for you slow folks.

  • mind drunks.

  • Quantum physics

    Emptiness

    thank you

  • Josha,

If you have understood anything about your own mind and it's functioning, you would be able to understand that most people live their like zoning out, in a dream world. They are either entangled in the past or the future, memory or imagination, but as to the present they remain absolutely blind. Neither does one come to experience things as they, but only the mind's interpretation of existence.

Meditation is a method towards liberation from one's own self created delusions.

  • impressive, but ah man...

ah Hahaha! 1:10 and on cracked me up.

just hearin static and looking at their stoned expressions

better editing would have done these masters more justice

  • if the 'face of enlightened mind' looks stoned, then i want a hit!

    -= ~?~ =-

  • they look stoned

  • lol

  • @Nightmarefhk they look serene and completely clear eyed...

  • His Holiness, the 16th Karmapa, is a fat guy lol!

  • lol i can't believe how much I skipped and nothing changed after the narrator stopped talking

  • LOL

  • ( : LOVE!

  • I found some comments where people equated Buddhist practice with taking drugs. Seriously, this is a completely deluded way of thinking. People get extremely attached to drugs and they do it to fill their desire of experience "trance".

These monks are egoless and have no attachment. Buddhist meditation is opposite of taking drugs.

  • absolutely agree.

  • @himalayanspirit actually, the inner experiences of deep meditation have many similarities to psychedelic drug experiences, in particular DMT... altho, i would say that meditation is a much more efficient and effective way of inner transformation... the experiences and insights gained through psychedelics tend to fade quickly...

  • @himalayanspirit

I read these comments also and while I fully agree with yours, they didn't equate meditating with drug taking. they just compared the fruits of meditation to the results of psychedelic substances which produce ethereal effects and have been used on shamanic journeys.

ideally, these "drugs" should be taken without attachment.

  • @himalayanspirit Also, it has been scientifically proven that drugs deter the mind and body and its emotions. Meditation and exercise strengthen these things. Also meditation takes time and PATIENCE. Drugs are for fucking lazy, spoiled, selfish impatient people who don't want to work hard or EARN the benefits of meditation.

  • @cellardoor199991 i both agree an disagree with you.first of all, there's drugs, and then there's psychedelic drugs. i've been meditating for many years, and i still use psychedelics. the insights gained in meditation manifest during the psychedelic state, and i believe when combined with mindfullness techniques, there's no reason to think that this shamanistic drug use should not support a meditative practice.but they will never be a substitute for meditation. so chill out, bro and hit this :)

  • @ChristPuncher1373 no thanks. You're 34 and you still use drugs? Good luck in later years. You may as well lay down outside where all the other "vegetables" are. Psychedelics are just as harmful. Good luck and have fun. i don't need synthetic drug intake to be happy. I'm smart enough to use my brain and body for that. Have fun.

  • @cellardoor199991 i was just joking with the "hit this" comment and about you trying "drugs", altho i would hardly consider marijuana a drug... i can see you're hell bent on being closed minded, but i have to point out that i never said you "need synthetic drug intake to be happy". quite the opposite. if you are attached to any state, it will become an problem. i was only acknowledging that there are parallels between the psychedelic state and meditation. but i guess i'm just an idiot : )

  • @himalayanspirit

drugs were used as black magic...

  • @himalayanspirit I feel sorry for them. I want to shake them . They are asleep. How can they be of use for themselves or humanity if they sleep through life. Self serving in some way. Where is the joy we need to expand, in these men

    That's the way it looks..

    OMG.

  • hey i have something to say, i've unleashed kundalini using marijuana and quigong......I also learned all the water paths, i did this all in one year...why does it take some people so long???? for a glory fied body buzz that puts you in a trance state, when i smoke weed and i do it, it makes people think i'm on shrooms cause my body stars feelings wave like magnetism around me and it moves it, i'm no dancer but when i put my self in this state i can do things that normal people can't.

  • And 1 comment is already enough to make it clear you have a massive ego... Which your unleashed kundalini isn't helping reduce.

  • Buddhist meditation does take time, but the results are permanent, not just during your drug experiences.

and once the results are accomplished you only see your self as a tool to helping all beings in reality. Their minds are like bright beacons that permeate light through all the realms.

also to those who say no life... They are doing a specific practice, they do not look like that all the time. and they keep there eyes open for the very reason not to be

"dead to the out side world"

  • Yeah it's permanent now but marijuana helped me learn everything they did but way way faster...for example my lower abodminal is always filled with air that keeps my entire body warm and my head and body always feel like they are submerged in some sort of flowy liquid like substance that permeates my body, otehrs can feel my energy, and i have a certain power over people just by looking at htem and breathing three times every minute.

  • Comment removed

  • hahahaha your wrong ive had such things to happen to me why do u think God created weed????

  • i did not say that, plz read it again....i said u r fooled by marijuana....anyway god not created weed for sure, god (in this case "Bhudda") enlightend the Dhamma. Dhamma means natural. the key is "the way things are" ...

  • lol, what are you talkin about man!

  • Isamright33:

In Western philosophy - we call those types of claims, delusions of grandeur.

I know that many in here have forsaken or loathe the Western world but cant Buddhist call a spade a spade and let this guy know he simply needs help?

Isamright33 your issues are best treated as addictive drug use, further aggravated by the cumulative effect of repetitive overdoes.

PLEASE don't breath at me 3 times.

  • yeah like i respect what they do and shit, but it has nothing to do with virtue, it's a biological function of hte body to fill yoruself up with air hte way they do to permeate good will and thoughts, but to tell you teh truth it's overated, and there are no real special powers other than endless energy to just sit and stare.

  • If it has nothing to do with virtue, then it serves no purpose. the only and ultimate motivation is pure virtue to help all beings. That is what separates it from all other paths.

it looks like they are doing nothing, but some of those masters can manifest them selves one hundred thousand times to benefit sentient beings. So yes... they are sitting there, but their minds are radiant and dancing

  • we real bhuddist will not be fooled by any special power. purpose of meditation is be emptiness, and peace. whatever you say is whatever you think and its implied the person you are. hope you will be fine.

  • do things normal people cant huh does your power distort recording equipment? if not why dont you post a video....

or quit being a lying douche that works too

  • book of the dead...

  • All yoga is based upon cutting through mind (citta) display-vibrations to see the substance of pure Mind (prakritivisuddhicitta). Mind is purely dynamic and absolute (and naturally unbodied). Kalu Rinpoche was one of the best. His bk. Luminous Mind is a classic, a must read.

  • look nthose faces they are doing agelong wrong practises they are so static without no real life on them!what is this!age long wrong meditaion practises!they look inside so they are dead to outside world so their face expression is that of man who dosent live anymore!

  • and I agree with konli that soon were gonna be able to use science to bring us new knowledge about our surroundings with shit we can put in our brains. that will be awesome.

  • i've talked to some people that were completely about dharma meditation. They were the "Drugs only cloud our vision" type. Then I convinced them to smoke some dmt. After looking like those monks did for about 15 minutes, eyes closed, they opened their eyes and said, "That single experience brought me closer to the source than any of my meditation has" Ayhuasca, dmt, bud, mushrooms, they've evolved with our consciousness for thousands of years to help us share the energies of the universe.

  • I would like to take some but cannot find any. Also I heard it is easy to take way more than you should. How much is the proper first dose?

  • @tawkinhedz when you become a more advanced meditator, the psychedelic drug state (even a dmt flash) fallls short of your natural experience in meditation.... but only because drug states are very short lived, and the changes in consciousness caused by meditation are more perminent... a fusion of the shamanistic path and meditation is the best appaoach, because then the experiences support eachother... drugs expand your vision, and give you a preview of what's possible if you meditate alot

  • Action is the greatest teacher, inaction is action.

  • Who was the face right before the 3 faces? His energy was so high.

  • Amazing energy! Thank you!

  • Everyone wants to film yogis nowadays. Instead of interrupting their retreat & interferring with their attempts to quash the ego by telling them they are going to be celebrities, they should be asked about the retreat when they have finished it & are teaching.

  • Sound interesting , but with science , very soon you can implant a microchips on your Brain and have the same psicodelic trips as those monks, and not wasting your life , just stanthing there waiting for the invisible world .

    Namaste

  • Rofl no matter how many drugs you take you will not be able to see the things that Dharma meditation leads you to see

  • I don't mean to be rude and all, but wow those guys are trippin balls, who wouldnt want to do absolutely nothing, eating very rarely, and talking to aliens every day of your life

  • This seems very private, and personal Do we have a right to encroach on them? Their way of existing, and ours does not have the same conformity. I will pray for them as well.... do they really want us doing this or are we trolling them with our presence? They don't come into our church services, and take pictures of us. I feel like a lookie loo...

  • Dalai Lama and other monks have visited churches and have prayed together with Christians. But "they" are yogis and they meditate. And their meditation spots are far away from Tibetan communities.

  • one by one are special personalities and very deep spiritual people

  • This looks like something that in my line of training (healing tao), is called the neutral state (yuan chi). Just watching makes me relax and expand my conciousness. They seem to transmit an energy teaching of some sort. My deepest appreciation for sharing this video.

  • due to the tamperings of the bible im not sure about jesus as i once was. Since the yogis are modern day humanitarians (and then some) i have adopted them as my idols along side jesus. They are what i desire to become.

  • Let go off your desire and you will be that:)

    Peace and love

  • That's a really cool view! I wish you all the best on your way!

  • concentration camp?

More like a happy training Concentration camp for Enlightened ones.....

  • @ 1.14, as if he isn't stoned!

  • oh dear, 30 years of meditation and this video has just put me off.. it looks so daft from the outside. Like a big illusion. And not much use to the world. I think i've become de-enlightened. endarkened?

  • Welcome to the real world! Yes, it can be a dark place, but the way to counteract this 'darkness' is face it and work to actually resolve the symptons, rather than pray to an invisible friend, or in this case, do absolutely no thinking at all!

  • tempering my disillusion a bit .. i think you have to do what you can to improve things but keep one part of your mind in the void and outside of world problems, in order to be most effective .. i think the buddhists probably do have something to offer ..

  • What, in practical, self 'helping' (for lack of a better word) terms, did you gain through meditation?

  • erm , lots actually, if i'm being honest .. think i'll answer in a message rather than clog up the comments with a wordy list..

  • Good question. I had the same some 30 years ago. The answer is : If YOU don't meditate you will never know. Because YOUR experience will be no-one else's. It works.....It works indeed. I did it and I can now see why (for me).

  • personally i found meditation was the greatest thing in life!!! but i was shy to recommend it because often others don't seem to get so much from it. I cant say how it will work for anyone else. And often i felt that monks were a long way from the clarity i had received.

  • I know what you mean, I was shy too before, because I was afraid to look like a fanatic (somehow?) but now I'm not anymore because I actually experience the benefits in every minutes in my life. And...It's amazing!!! Oh, also, there is indeed loads of tight somber mind monks too...But like we say in french "the robe doesn't make the monk" and most of all, it's not required to be monk. Monk is just one of the many options.

  • Good God that is an intense video. Some of them just seem to be looking right through you, or are you looking right through them? Wow.

  • jbrentoniv:

    They are looking inside... Hehe.

  • right. How would that wording go? We are gazing at them gazing inside themselves? I don't know. Trippy. Thank God for color though. If it was in black and white it would only encourage my conditioned mind to "them" being "them" a long time ago and "me" being "me" now. Thanks for being stimulating.

  • Jbrentoniv:

There is no him and me, there is only I. We are all one and when they look inside you are indeed also looking inside.
