Some compared him to Ryan Clady. Ryan Clady's damn arms were 36.75" long, that's ridiculous. Davis had long arms, great hand usage and is pretty athletic for his size. I loved that my 49ers got him.

@hippie2152 i totally...these highlights on anthony davis make him look like a liabilty...can you imagine him blocking the likes of jared allen,osi umeyora,and DE of that calibur....they be better off switching him to the right for now,while staley protects that side...singletary,solari,and ray brown will help him fix that problem...he seems to be strong but a finesse DE with technique would take him to school right now..i really hope he is better than this video shows..good luck to my 9ers

niners had alot of problems with pass protection, that's why we had to go with the shotgun alot.... we have allowed 150 sacks since 2007... hopefully davis and iupati make an impact right away... but i don't think davis is ready to play at smith's blindside... i hope he's good at right tackle... keep in mind that he's still very young though and if he would've stayed a year in college, he could've easily been the top tackle in 2011

he is a beast of a run blocker at 323 lbs he had a 33.0 inch verticl at the combine so he has some strong legs and uses them to overpower people in the running game

he is the most copleat tackle in the draft he reminds me of jeff otah with quiicker feet

I think he's not that good. Bad initial punch and worse hand placement. is just plane bad as a pass protector. he gets beat at :32, 1:05, 1:14 (didnt even block anybody), 1:21, 1:29, 1:46, 2:09, 2:49, 3:08 (kinda), 3:30. However he does show promise as a run blocker so maybe he can be an effective RT.

I don't think he has bad footwork. Very solid footwork in the run game, and very physical. Gets good depth on his initial set in pass protection. He is too big to be being pushed into the pocket at times, must work on shocking the defender with a strong punch which would help a ton with the inside move, which is the only real weakness i can see on this video

I still see the popular conclusion about this guy being a high first rounder and I think to myself and am I missing the boat or something? He should have a good career at right tackle once they fix his focus issues and pass protecting. For him to be a pro bowler or anything he needs improved technique and he also needs NFL legal focus drugs. With all of early declarations in this draft I think it's a bad decision to pick him in the first round. He is a boom/bust prospect.

If your a starter for every single offensive snap and that is your focus, 10 sacks a game at least.

I watched him in the USF game and I came away impressed. He completely shutdown Selvie. However after watching this vid I now see that he has some pretty big flaws. His feet are slow and he doesn't look natural at all in his kick slides. He looks like he doesn't play with good balance and he is toast when the defender puts on a good counter move. Seems to give up when he gets beat. I'm not an expert by any means but no way would I trust him to play LT at the next level
