I remember back when I first played it at a kid, I practically finished the game some times. I never did competely finish it, unfortunately. If I still had a SNES (which all the system and games were traded for X-Box), I'd be able to finish it much easier, as my skills as a game player improved tremendously.

yeah, Contra 3, in spite of all the absolute ludicrous parts, (especially the riding of the missiles thing) is downright realistic and serious compared to Hard Corps, and that's saying something right there. Contra 4 came nice and close to the awesomeness of 3, Contra Rebirth missed the mark completely by making it too short and replacing the Aliens like stuff, such as facehuggers with brains and the bug like aliens with running lizards,

now I'm all for Contra becoming a bit more like Metal Slug, what with the more stylized graphics (Albeit they resemble Megaman Zero more than Metal Slug, which is TOO stylized for Contra, but I would like it if they used the Melee system Metal Slug uses, rather than the old "enemy touches you, you die" system that's as old as gaming itself.) but I'd like it to at least keep a veneer of sincerity and not become too silly.

I never really liked hard corps personally. What I love about this one is how musically it sounds very "predator" (as in the 80s movie, and it sure did borrow from it). It also sounded very military. The other Contras just seem to lack all that and not seem as well deisgned, especially musically.

I agree 100%. The thing I loved about this game is the music. It seems that sequels or remakes miss key components regarding what made their predecessors great.

True. If you play in hard, the brain have more "forms" to deal with in the last battle. And after you beat him and is getting off, some kind of armour covers the brain and he came after you for a final confrontation.

Well, several of my first videos on Youtube was already recorded on VHS but almost of them are transfered now, but you`re right, i use an emulator for the other games. The "Fraps" program works very well with "RockNes" (Nintendo emulator) and with "ZNes" (Super Nintendo emulator) but it doesn`t seems to work with "Gens32" (Genesis emulator) and with "Project64" (Nintendo64 emulator)... :-(

I use the "Fraps" program. You can download the free demo, but I don`t remember the adress (Just write "Fraps" on Google)... There`s no limit time for this demo but it can record only 30 seconds per shot... (Duh... Hope you understand what i means, you know that i usually speak french loll)... You must buy the program to have unlimited recording times.
