As much as concerts cost, you would think people would be interested in actually hearing the band instead of themselves. One of the best performances ever of one of the most powerful songs ever.

Some of Mark Knopfler's songs are as perfect expressions of both protest & political / spiritual movements as ever; certainly at least the equal of anything that acknowledged master of the form Bob Dylan, or any other "protest song" singers of the 60s, ever put out.

So why isn't he universally credited w/ that?

This isn't a rhetorical question, or snark -- I really want to know. Anyone know of any reason?
