  • I LIKE YULY SO BEAUTY

  • Canle interessante per chi ha forte passione di ballo.

  • BHJ is one of my favourite moves which i learned from Anthony. simple, very easy to do, looks great.

  • song is Phillidelphia Mambo, from Miami sessions

  • Sick moves ! Ill do it next salsa night :)

  • I've never understood How to move while my boy's turning...I'd like to have an explanation...I think the most difficult thing in dancing is styilng...

  • Please I need knowing the title of this muy sabrosa cancion!

  • like it :)

    sasa from croatia :)

  • Quiero ir a una boda despues de ver este video

  • what's the name of this song? this song is dope. and where can i get more music like this?

  • Comment removed

  • let me tell you something where is the music?

you can't possibly learned just like that you need music so you can follow the rhythm

  • you quiero baialr asi salsa

  • good

  • wow that was bad ass!

  • Nad what if theres a differenc of 30sm between the guy and the girl :P?

  • Folks we live in a technologically rich world. if you can't understand or grasp the moves, take the video, download it, and slow the playback rate down even slower, then piece the pattern together and learn it. You can't go wrong with this approach. Trust me. Every instructor has their own style of teaching and communication. Some are better than others. So just relax, enjoy the moves, learn them, and dance.

  • I'm an On 1 dancer and I've recent;y started practicing On 2 after a Salsa Congress I went to. ! of course feels natural, however, when I dance on 2, it feels like it flows a little more freely. Your videos are very clear and to the point. You demonstrate the moves well and you explain the concepts behind them well.

  • not at 1 point did he punch her in her tits..

  • Somebody can tell me the title of this wonderful song please???????????????

  • Why is ppl on here trying to hate on my boy apersaud these videos are the bomb you add your own style to salsa and let it b so. If your boricua or any of the such then you know and do and can probably teach, but don't go off judging so much that you hating on other video!! Yall rock keep on doing what you're doing (didn't mean to give the negative comment a thumbs up yall tha bomb!!!!!!!!

  • Great instructional videos!! I've been dancing Salsa all of my life in NYC...grew up w/ this music and so happy that it's so popular!!! Isn't that song by Cal Tjader? What is the name of it? I know it and it bothers me every time I hear it.

  • Salsa always steals steps from other dances. Try looking up "bailando porro" or "porro colombia". I live in a salsa-infested country but....I've always thought that Salsa lacks that elegance (both in music and dance) that you see in Colombian Porro or ballroom Cumbia....you don't even see it in mambo or cha-cha either.

  • Never turn your back to a woman at a club...

  • what is the song??

  • Buen lomo de la flaca....

  • la chica esta bien buenota

  • Definately Puerto Ricans, they don't know how to dance Salsa

  • @jhonmunoz1 the hell u talking bout?? vete pal caribe pa q veas como se baila la salsa d verdad (donde se empezo pa variar)... and they arent even boricuas at all... but i bet they dance it better than u do anyday

  • pretty cool, thanks

  • como se llama la cancion??

  • @lainflada philadelphia mambo, por "los gatos" creo

  • damn I gotta learn me a move like this and I can get all the chiks!

  • wow

  • Learned dancing on 2, but i hated it. After a week ago, now i can't stop it. It's real fun and extra turns for the lady are easy 2. I know this trick, but good explanation. 2 bad it isnt't on 2 :D

  • k buena salsa!!!!!

  • thanx again military ball approaching. Just need to help my dance partner find the rythm in her hips lls

  • thanx really needed this video. got my military ball coming up in like 10 days so thanks

  • very nice!!!!!!

  • Does anyone have any other videos with examples of these type of moves (Two Handed turns)? With or without hand juggles? I've seen a few videos with guys just doing variations of these moves. Many times they set it up so it seems like they're doing the same move just to send the lady into something completely different. Thnx in advance.

  • When facing the same direction as the girl, does the girl still step back on 1? Because it kinda feels that if she does she'll make the guy choke himself or pull him back. And how loose should the girls arms must be so you can make the hand moves more fluid? Because alot girls don't know how to follow or probably have a different concept of wat it means to follow. Maybe U can make a video on how ladies should follow. U know just suggesting. Anyways, pleasse reply. thanks.

  • Is that a cross body lead or cuban turn ?

  • I would like to know do you sale videos of your basic and advance turns

  • @vitarte100

    cute!

  • in slow motion we can see that, the way he moves the harms when dancing, is not the same way when hes teaching. But its cool.

  • not really skip number 4 but the beat is quick quick slow, quick quick slow. So it's 1 2 3 *pause* 5 6 7 *pause*. Count 3 is dragged longer, hence the missing 4.

  • Is it typical to SKIP the number 4 in salsa teaching? Nice moves by the way. Another instructor did the same, skipped number 4 cuatro.

  • how come all of these videos looks like cousins of mine. lol. julie your hot ass hell. but baby u need more rythem.

  • @MrRobby74

    it's Rhythm.

  • I need to jump through the screen and dance!

  • estaba viedo el video por primera ves veo algo que copiar good job thanks for the tip

  • where is the 'four' ?

  • 4 and 8 are pauses in the music. That's why you always hear instructors counting off 1,2,3, ,5,6,7, ,1,2,3, ,5,6,7, , You should actually do the same in hear head or even out loud (I do) as you listen and feel the music to make sure you are on beat.

  • oh yeah!... I should have guessed that:)) ... thanks for your help

  • Agree :)

  • The "4" and "8" are pause that's why they are not being counted....even I know and I have never danced in my life

  • Sometimes the obvious things are the ones that I can't see... and I have learned that no matter how stupid your question might be, you should allways keep asking in order to learn.. btw thanks for helping cya!

  • watz da name on da track !!

  • you are very good at explaining the moves, i've stollen a lot of them from you :) . I'm addicted

  • Your lessons are always pertinent.

This hand trick is a nice gimmick for any mujer. Haha.

  • funny but wrong!lol

  • So how is this wrong?

  • i actually tried this.

  • I would like to try this!!!

  • Yo, this girl can dance !!!

    Preciosa!!!!!

  • Julie's body so nice...

  • Dear Anthony in most of the cases in this video ,when U demonstrate ,ur hand moves are slightly different from the instruction, actually ur left hand comes to ur right side(crosses ur head) at the count of 3 or 4 while at the same time u prep for a cross boddy return ,could u teach us the other variation as well plz?in addition when I try to do it as the INSTRUCTION while dancing ,it normally looks clumzy or my elbows get on the way.I guess tutorial video could be usefull . Regards

  • thanks

  • antony I'm starting with salsa now and trying to download your videos.. but could you please make a list of the sequence in wich a begginer must see the videos?

right now i'm just downloading anything that says "begginer" haha

the salsapodcast is a bit confusing regarding that sequence

  • If you go to our website you can see the episodes in chronological order. That might be helpful to you!

  • omg, are you Julie from the video?

you are gorgeous and a great dancer aswell!

thanks for the tip, I did so and downloaded all the vids in the page.. I hope I can improve a little bit now!

    Thanks for uploading this videos!

  • il parait ke c difficile mais c le contraire

  • what song is tis?

  • Jesus, que esplendido mirar! Dance and music have this soft suave dream-like quality: Wow, I simply love it! (By whom, please, is the music?) Thanks, too, for that explanation about the conga slap on 2 and 6, first time I got that down. This will keep me busy for a while: Happily Anthony is so confident. Another of those really ! simple ! steps ! and ! where ! do ! my ! hands ! go !

  • That white girl is built, hotness.

  • He need a partner with a little more... flavor... compliments him better.. I dont know but this partner seems to barely keep up... maybe i am wrong but thats how I feel.

  • I think only with a partner dance like that I can do it...

  • july I lovvvvvveeeeeeeee iiiiiiiiuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhh!

  • que chica tan buena!

  • this is odd, i hate dancing and i suddenly find this video under my favourites, i have never seen this before...and i doubt it was a hacker coz why wud ne1 want to hack my acc?

    help plz:P

  • hi! just wanted to ask what was the song in this video and artist. it has a nice slower tempo it makes a great song for practice sessions. thanks!

  • Dancing the move at 19 seconds you have both hands on your right shoulder, but when you break it down you have one hand on either shoulder. I'm sorry if I sounded overly critical, I like watching instructional videos and I like this move but unless I can slo-mo the actual move I won't get it here...

  • it's just really fast... he didn't extend the crosshands grip all the way across to each shoulder, that's all. You don't HAVE to have the hands on each shoulder, especiallly if you have a fast song. If you turn the girl and then do a guys' left half turn, most times your hands will naturally end up over your right shoulder, Look at 3:00-3:11 it may help explain a bit.

  • This is my prblem with alot of salsa teachers. They can do it but they don't really understand how they're doing it. Example he teaches the intro in slo-mo different than he does the actual move? WTF

  • Could you please be specific? We dance the introduction in on2 timing and explain the move in on1 timing.

  • Why do people dance on beat 2?

    Ive never understood this :S

  • The conga slap of salsa happens on counts 2 and 6 in a dance measure. The salsa clave is matched to those counts as well.

  • @apersaud The good thing is to be able to dance in both tempos. I've always danced on1 (since I was a kid) and I never knew there was on2 lol. I need to get into a salsa school and learn to dance on2 and get better on1.

  • @YamatoXion is just a different style the motion looks a little different is all about style

  • @YamatoXion nyc salsa is on 2 its pretty intuitive once u get the hang of it

  • @YamatoXion you read to much P. Coelho ;d

  • @apersaud I think instead of explain on how you're doing the move, maybe interpret how you body flows with it also so students who are learning don't dance so stiff with no swag.. if that makes sense. Hope this helps!

  • @blueocea I also noticed it. The move in the intro (with the hands) is different than that he explained.

  • @blueocea I agree.. Im learning how to lead for the most part so I can help my mother learn salsa, and it's difficult to see "how" they're doing it like you said like with style and be confident in the moves used. I don't want to seem like all technique but no swag which I understand on what you're saying though :]

  • Anthony you are adorable!

I'm not sure this will ever be easy...I'm a belly dancer and I cannot get used to dancing with a partner and understand what my leader is trying to do! Practice, practice, practice...

  • keep relaxed and dance with different leaders, sometimes it may the leader who isn't leading well.

  • hey jemerrill very good! the only thing i would suggest is bending ur legs a little and move your shoulders more. feel the music! u look a little stiff...lol. nervous?

  • very good video thanks

  • there is obviously a difference in the move when you actually dance it. after your sneak-in both of her hands are on your right side, but when you teach us they should be on both shoulders. so what exactly is right?

  • omg it's a gringa dancing salsa. I have hope!

  • Haha you definitely have hope!!! I never thought I would dance. I was very happy to discover that the whole rhythm and movement thing can be learned! Stick with it, it's so much fun :-)

  • Now, I know, I'm never marrying someone that can dance =/ because i would fall on my ass =[

  • I know! I was really nervous shooting this video, knowing that people from all over the world would be seeing and criticizing it. Hopefully next time I will be more relaxed. Do you have any other tips for me?

  • I think you actually dance very good, jemerrill...It just goes to show that you don't have to be latina to learn how to dance salsa...You just have to Feel it! Pa'lante!

  • That is a great combo! Does anyone know the name of the song?

    Ciao

  • Hong Kong Mambo, tito puente i think

  • No, it is Philadelphia Mambo by Los Gatos (originally by Tito Puente).

  • oops... i mean.. i was testing you.

  • i also learned too much from you, perfect job...

  • YES! please break down the double turn to 360.. i've been trying to learn the 360 from other vids and i don't get it completely.

Is it the same as coca cola from casino?

  • hey all!another great combo. could you please do a breakdown of the 360 that finishes this routine thank you, maybe the next time your in belfast northern ireland you will look our small but ever increasing salsa scene up, we would love to have you, big hugs

  • I love you anthony I learned too much from you...

  • I AM GLAD YOU ARE BACK TOO

    VERY VERY GOOD

    i learn easy from you

and i practis with my wife

    VERY VERY GOOD TOPS

  • I'm glad you're back! Thanks for this video, it's just great.

  • As coolest as simple. Also you can learn another important thing from Anthony, one smile fixes any mistake when you're dancing.

Congrats and thank you, I'm going to practice this combo tomorrow.

Julie, may I have a dance with you??? :P

  • sweet a new combo! thanks!
