There were plenty of wars in Africa and America from 1000-1500 too, except it wasn't written down. The African tribes slaughtered each other regularily and the aztecs, mayans and incans in America were extremely violent empires that were in an almost constant state of war.

@volon5 well the concept of war is different in different cultures until the greeks came along there was now real consept of winning or loosing. countrys fight for different reasons the romans fought because they feared being attacked by there nabors. the british fought to out shine there rivals (france, spain, holland). americans fight because they believe they are the police of the world (or at least there government does)
