  • Talk T and break it down, love the message!

  • That was a very interesting speech you gave TMOT.I was wondering though 1)Did you actually read and have the members READ the passage that was being talked about and 2)Being that you acknowledge that we (Christians) are no longer under Law,Does the congregation you belong to practice tithing? After all, that WAS part of the law as well.

  • AMEN!!!! Wonderful sermon, Mr. TMOT! I can't wait to hear more! :)

  • Look at em!..lol TMOT!

  • Great Sermon Tmot!

  • Thou SHALT judge! When Jesus said not to judge, he was aiming squarely at the hypocrites. To universally refrain from judging is to allow evil to triumph without resistance. Those who seek righteousness MUST judge between good and evil in the world.

To judge simply means to form an opinion through careful weighing of evidence and testing of premises. Then you arrive at a reliable conclusion after inquiry and deliberation. All over the Scripture we are told to do these very things.

  • "To universally refrain from judging is to allow evil to triumph without resistance."

Amen! That's what I try to explain to people about judgment.

  • Not supposed to judge tmot. Discerment is fine.

  • Go back to school before you decide lecture me on what scripture says. Then we can talk.

I quoted actual scripture. You won't to debate what's in the Bible, find someone else. I am not trying to be rude, but I take the Word very Seriously and take offence when someone say's what I should or should not say when I am taking the words directly from the Book.

    Good God Almighty.

    John 7:24

24 Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

    ASV

    Again, go back to school.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16 says that All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, reproving, setting matters straight and disciplining in righteousness.I mentioned that because I noticed that not one time did you actually have them turn to any of those scriptures that you mentioned although the Bible was opened right in front of you.Based on your last statements in this speech,I'm sure you see the value in it not appearing to be about YOU but what the Lord says...in the Bible itself.

  • Also Brother, no one and maybe not even many know all there is to know about the Bible.Unfortunately,MOST are actually ignorant of what is actually taught in the Bible because they are conditioned to think they don't have to read but to just listen to someone on the pulpit...and we see where that's gotten a lot of sincere believers(many being stumbled and turning atheist and agnostic).Speaking of being turned off from the following of Christ I think many men have left the "churches' due to...

  • ...there being more and more women "leading" the congregation which is another practice that is condemned in the Bible found at 1 Corinthians 14:33,34 where it specifically says that "God is a God,not of disorder, but of peace...

  • You are right on the button. Once Gods Word comes out the mouth of a preacher it becomes subject to interpretation. Preachers preach what they've learned in Bible School, personal prayer, or life experience and so the interpretation can vary from preacher to preacher.... But Gods Word stays the same.

  • That was the end of my Sermon and I have preached sermons on Judging before. So, again, anyone coming to critique my message, either accept it or move on. I ain't mad.

This is not a debate and this is the last time I will say this to anyone.

    Peace to all.

  • Oh no.I wasn't trying to debate with you on anything.I was simply asking questions to get your take on the matter.

  • As to me replying to your comment to that other person,I was stating what I stated due to the fact that many people can and will brush off what a Christian says as being "what THEY want it to mean" because they aren't actually letting the Bible speak for itself. If a Christian doesn't actually READ the passage itself from the BOOK then THAT can be debatable not so much the Bible itslf

  • That may be so. That is we must "WE" must study to show Ourselves "Approved".

I have been at this long enough to know all that you speak of and I need no querying on whether I reference scripture. Listen and decide if the words speak true to YOU rather than ask what have I done.

I mean no offence, but I never get into debates of ANY KIND nor do I EVER defend my style of Teaching or my Methods.

Love it, or leave it. It ain't personal and I will not be mad.

    Peace to all.

  • I know what the scriptures say for the most part to know whether what you were saying is truthful or not,but I was just expounding on the fact that most followers aren't being encouraged to STUDY the Word as they are mostly encouraged to come to church and LISTEN to whatever is being spoken.

TMOT,if I ask a question or two...does that mean debate to you?

  • I teach in Bible Study "HOW" to study the Bible. I don't tell people, just read the Bible and the HS will bring it back to your remembrance. You can't remember what you've never known.

Therefore we must study for ourselves. At any rate, these are mere excerpt to preview the subject matter of an entire message to be uploaded later.

  • The intent is not for me to explain each and every concept, justify why or defend why I left something out.

If they want that, listen to the whole message when available and if they want to learn how to study, come to Bible Study.

I understand where you are coming from, I am just trying to close this door.

  • Let me apologize. I have grown so used to people bringing NONSENSE, that a lot of time when I perceive that the comment is headed towards the ridiculous, I stop reading.

When I saw, "Do you have them read the scriptures" it shut me down.

Bare with me, but I am trying to focus on doing what God has called me to do and things that I would think would be obvious to most is apparently not.

I may stop commenting on these vids and simply let people send questions via pm.

    That will cut down mess.

  • I understand. And my apologies for giving that impression that I was in some way attacking you on a personal level.

  • I belong to a family full of Baptist preachers,Pentecostal preachers,Jehovah's witnesses, seventh day adventists, methodists, and maybe even more.lol That being said I have ESPECIALLY come to see the importance in each individual Christian learning just as much as the ministers, pastors, elders, etc know about the Bible because true Christianity is a WAY OF LIFE and NOT different denominations. If one knows the Bible for themself then they can detect falsehood more easily.

  • Lastly, the reason I gave so much emphasis on EVERYONE studying the Bible is because too many professed Christians don't know the basic teachings of the Bible and it saddens me as I know it must sadden YHWH and Jesus both.If I had not been blessed to learn what the Bible teaches for myself I honestly would've considered being agnostic (NEVER atheist though)

So now you see why that held so much importance to me. :-)

  • I understand. Thank you for understanding me. Continue to be blessed.

  • I don't know who made what. I was making the comment to whomever needed to hear it.

    Nothing Personal.

  • Great work, TMOT.

  • your a good public speaker, if i was up their, i would be sweating 100 gallons

  • I'm feeling the title of the message. Go head TMOT.

  • Thank you Tmot ! That one stuck a cord here.

  • Amen. Amen and Amen brother Tmot. Thank you for this most timely message. God Bless you in Jesus Holy name. Glory too God.

  • Thank you Joe and God Bless You as well. Peace.
