I did shed a tear there :) Alkan's climax are always so wonderful.

This, I find to be the most melodically poignant in Op. 35 - the Ab major etude comes a very close second.

I really wish I could play this. I really do.

the return of the main theme at 4:00 is magical and the climax at 4:12 contains very special harmonies with the descending bass line. nearly makes me shed a tear. ty. wonderful post
