One of my favorite songs by David Ruffin by far. Man, the words in this song are SO real...a lof of us have been there before to varying degrees. Brotha, you've obviously been through hell...and love can do that to you when the person you fell in love with turns out to be somebody else. It's like marrying Linda Blaire and then waking up to the demon! How do you seperate the two? I hope life has gotten better for you, man. Keep your head to the sky...Peace

This tune was arranged and produced by Van McCoy who was a blessing to Ruffin during one of many low points in his career. He produced the album, Who I Am and they had a hit with, Walk Away From Love along with Heavy Love and the B side Statue Of A Fool. Van also produced David's next LP, Everything's Coming Up Love that included the hit of the same name. Van Died of a heart attack in '79. Credit must also be given to Charles Kipps Jr. for penning Walk Away From Love. RIP Mr Ruffin and Mr McCoy.
