@sadlonelylad Aluminium will eventually fail after repeated stresses (no matter how low), steel will not fail unless subject to heavy loads repeatedly but will be heavier. I would be inclined to stick with a steel bike for tricks so it doesn't one day snap and kill you lol

those tricks and handling skills are nothing compared to trial or street riders, mostly becouse this kind of bike has an awkward geometry for this kind of performance. This is a profile for speed, and those guys look so proud like they just discovered america. MAN come on this is for total posers I ride a bike but have several, from DH / 30 kg /to FR to CITY to RACE /7,3 kg/  and I know which one is for what. I love riding fixed gear. It's the only thing I ride. I can't do any tricks unless you count skidding and track stands. I also don't see the appeal to doing tricks on a bike like this. Yet at the same time I can appreciate the skill needed to perform tricks like this.

Gotta say though, dunno why more people don't buy BMX's if they wanna do tricks on a bike (appart from the obvious fact fixies are 'cool'), but I aint gonna loose sleep over it. We'll see who all the true fixie fans are in a year or so when the hype dies down and the next big thing comes along. :P

An for what it's worth I've got a BMX (trick fun) and a fixie (gettin around bombin fun), so no bias!

@robseven7 Not everyone wants to ride a small bmx with low gearing. A flipflop hub means you can have a high gear ratio for riding and a lower gear ratio for tricks. Also the fixed gear makes tricks possible that can't be done on a freewheel bmx.

@robseven7 search for videos by Ines Bruun to see goodlooking tricks on a fixie. Many videos are done by amateurs and just show newbies goofing around. There are quite a few fixie only tricks... skidding, riding backwards, keo spins, trackstand variations etc. Now, a fixed bmx that would be fun :)
